Advised mechanics of electrical issue, told them it was probably the alternator. They ran a test and said the alternator was fine, and fixed the oil leaks that caused it. They said it was simply a battery issue, so I replaced it. Car crapped out on me, and had to pay to tow it to the shop again. They tell me they ran a test and lo and behold, the alternator is the issue. They wanted to give me the run-around and charge an extra >$1,000 in labor just to get to the location of the part again, and when I told them that me having to pay full price twice for something I knew was wrong originally, they told me to come pick my car up and threatened to have it towed, still not able to hold a charge mind you. They very sneakily worded it as if I came in for oil leaks, but I had been driving the car with the leaks no problem. 2 stars for being ok customer service, which I see now is fake. They're solid mechanics and will technically do what they tell you, but you have to be very diligent with not letting them replace random parts for $$$. 5/28/24: I can't reply so this edit will serve as such. If you read my post I said that my main reason for coming was the fact that my car would not start due to alternator issues. You claimed I didn't have enough money for my original repair (~$800 for alternator) yet you decided to quote me countless other expensive repairs that involved opening up the engine ($3,000+ which I could now suddenly afford?) just to charge big-time labor. Your false claim of my finances when it comes to the alternator repair also doesn't line up with what your official transcript of the repair said, as I provided below. To sum it up, you told me that my alternator was fine when it wasn't, fixed everything but what was preventing me to drive, and then, not asking me to not bring my car, but threatened to tow my car if I didn't somehow get it off your lot after not sticking to your word and wanting to charge $800 (!) for a simple alternator change. The only thing you know about my finances is that I wasted $3,000 on you guys. I'm glad I was able to make you all happy. Too long, didn't read: Business tries (and unfortunately succeeds) to make a quick buck out of me, and then the business attempts to lie in the review reply to save face by painting me as the angry bad guy, and making false claims about my financial situation when it came to fixing my alternator, which I promptly addressed by posting my receipt that directly contradicts what Cascade Auto claimed.

Another great experience at Cascade Auto Clinic. Caleb set me up with a same-day appointment, one of his team drove me back to my office, and picked me up again at exactly the appointed time. All work completed on my car, along with some extra checks. Have been taking my cars to Cascade Auto Clinic for 8 years and always an excellent experience.

Edit 4/2/2025: Caleb and his team are unmatched in speed and service. Have always felt at home and my voice heard when describing the “car issue” even in a nonsensical way. Just got out of a weird code situation that was properly diagnosed by the team at Cascade Auto Clinic as exhaust gaskets, not one but three! Have it all fixed up now and some maintenance that was due (spark plugs, transmission fluid, etc.) and the car feels newer than it ever has in my ownership. If you were ever worried about a mechanic shop that is just trying to nickel and dime you this is not that shop or you have uncertainty with your car at all due to lack of knowledge. Caleb has always kept my urgency in mind when performing maintenance and repairs and is transparent when it comes to cost of parts and his shop labor as well as explaining the repairs/maintenance being recommended.

Cascade Auto always takes great care of me whether it’s for big or small jobs. They do all the servicing for my new vehicles along with repairs on my older ones. They just replaced a transmission on my work truck and it was very reasonable compared to the dealership. It’s a small shop but they stand behind their work and are always upfront with timelines/costs/delays. Overall would highly recommend them if you’re looking for an honest and well ran locally owned business.

As a customer at Cascade Auto for the past 8 years, I have been consistently impressed with the level of service -- responsive, reliable, honest, with excellent quality work at all times and done in a reasonable timeframe. There have been no random surprises or mistakes, nor extra charges tacked on. I was unfortunately quite disappointed with my latest visit to Cascade Auto. I had some rear coil springs installed by them, and their mechanic forgot to tighten the sway bar end link bolt… it was literally hand loose… I had to bring it back in for them to retorque all the bolts, and all I got in return was a “Sorry, we’ll give that mechanic a talking to”. Yes, mistakes can happen to any shop, but I’d at least expect them to try to make it up. I had to spend an extra hour diagnosing where the “clunking” sound was coming from (making sure it wasn’t just something I had in the vehicle) and then 30 more minutes RT bringing it back into their shop. I’d expect more than just a “sorry” for a mistake like this that cost me extra time out of my day.

Cascade Auto Clinic is awesome. If you need to fix your car quickly and urgently, go to Caleb at Cascade! Testimonial: I had a minor car accident on a Friday night and my headlight glasses were broken. I called up all auto repair shops in Redmond next Monday morning (indeed a federal holiday) and I found Caleb! We spoke at 11am and I was already in his shop at 1pm! We inspected my car. He immediately gave me an estimate and ordered the part to be delivered next morning. On the subsequent day, I dropped off my car. He and his colleagues did a fantastic job - they not only fixed the headlight but also mitigated the bent on the car's fender (going to an auto body shop for this would easily cost a few hundred $$) More importantly, the price he offered me is fair. I am very thankful for Caleb's help!!! I'll continue to go to him for car maintenance for months & years to come! Pics: before versus after the headlight fix.

Caleb at Cascade auto clinic came highly recommended and he really lived up to and even surpassed a very high recommendation. I don’t leave many reviews but when I see service that’s above and beyond like Cascade gave me, delivering under estimate and ahead of time and explaining fully and even demonstrating what the malfunction was with my Suburban’s AC. I have complete confidence in this business. I would highly recommend them to anybody and everybody who needed help with their vehicle. Worth every penny! Keep up the good work, Caleb.
