0/10 would not recommend. this man held my car for two weeks, would not answer calls or his door. ignored me for days on end only to tell me he couldn’t even fix my car. lied saying he was working on it but didn’t even look at it yet. find yourself an honest mechanic, he’s not the one you’re looking for.

Cal is simply the best!!! I drive my car across the valley and pass plenty of mechanics on the way to him. I know I'm going to be taken care of and told straight what the problem is and what my options are. Over the years I can't even count how much money he's saved me from spending with other mechanics. I don't know what I'd do without him!

Cal is one of those gems you rarely find, I was traveling from California to Illinois when I got stranded in Salt Lake City. I swear I called every shop in the city for hours no one presented a solution that didnt involve selling one of my organs and giving them a time frame of weeks. I had no place to go. Cal is the only one who gave me a call to find out if I still needed help. He presented a solution and his work on rebuilding my transmission was more than fair. His priority was my safety and setting me on the road right. When I couldnt afford a place to stay, he opened his home to me. Thats the kind of person he is. Getting to know Cal was a blessing and a great experience, he is very kind has a good heart and is out there to help people. He comes to you as a friend you known for years. I had fun playing with his two cats and warmed up to his dogs. Your kindness Cal and generosity touched my heart. It was a pleasure to be accompanied by your wonderful family. The warm reception you gave me is now ingrained in my memory, and I can never forget it. Thank you very much!

Cal came to our house to inspect the car. Towed it for free. Explained each step. Didn't immediately tell us it needed to be rebuilt but tried other things first. In the end it had to be rebuilt but he was the only one trying to do the less expensive stuff first. We appreciated his work.

I had car problems while I was home from college during winter break, and Cal was very helpful. He took good care of my driveshaft issue and fixed a transmission leak as well. He always kept me updated through texts and calls and answered all my questions. He was very considerate and thorough as well. I would go to him again!

Honestly I don't even know how to begin. The master and slave went out on our clutch on June 24th. We were quoted $750 for the repairs and told it'd be done in 5 days. Five weeks later we got our car back and were charged $966. The first week it was a problem with his mechanic. He did the job wrong and it had to be done again. The next week He got it all back together and it still didn't work. He needed time to figure out what was wrong. (I've been there, it's a frustrating place to be!) The next week I didn't hear from him at all. I called on Friday to see how it was going and he told me he was going to replace the clutch (it was only a year old) at "no cost to me" and see if that would fix the problem. The next week it was the 24th of July. When I hadn't heard from him by the end of the week I called on Friday morning and he promised he'd be done by the end of the day and he'd call me. He didn't. When I still hadn't heard from him by Tuesday morning I called him. Turns out he'd been in the hospital. But for sure the car would be ready by end of day. I called at 5:30 and got the machine. He called back at 7:30 and said it'd be ready by noon Wednesday. I called at 12, then 1 then 2...he finally called me back at 5 and said he was test driving it and running it through the car wash and he'd call me when it was ready. I didn't wait for the call, just sent my husband up there to stand in front of the door until the man gave us our car back. He then lied to my husband and said he'd run through the price with me and got him to pay $200 more than originally quoted. Here's the thing. I've worked on cars before. There are unforeseen things that happen. I get it. There are problems you don't count on--like having to fire your mechanic and being hospitalized. All of that is fine...so long as communication is always happening and you keep your word. We were quoted $750. At no time in 5 weeks were we told it would cost more. After all the hassle and inconvenience I find it pretty audacious that he would charge more without talking to me about it first. He had plenty of opportunity. I don't think I would have had this reaction had he even said, "Look, I had to do the job 3 times to get it done right, I need to charge you for a couple extra hours to cover my costs." But to charge without a conversation--and to tell my husband that he'd talked to me about it when he absolutely did not--that puts into question everything he's said as to why this job took 8X longer than promised to complete. In the end the fact that I had to chase him down to get our car back is really my biggest complaint with the added charge being my second issue. In the end, we've got the car back. It handles a little weird. We'll see how it holds up and update this later if need be. Not sure if I'd recommend this business or not.

I was referred to Cal by a family friend who has had cal work on his vehicles for a number of years. I had a aamco in California replace a torque converter and a flywheel and my truck had too much power for the build they installed. Cal recommended I get billet components and installed some Kevlar clutches as well. I paid over 1000$ less than what other shops wanted to charge and he even found a few other minor issues with my truck that he gave a very fair quote to replace some old parts and I gave him the go ahead. Truck has been running great and can handle the power of having a tuner installed unlike the previous build. Would definitely recommend to anyone having minor or major issues with their vehicle wheter ots a heavy duty diesel like mine or a family minivan, he really is knowledgeable and willing to go thru the steps of explaining your vehicles issues to you in a way that makes sense for the average common person that isn't very mechanically inclined. 10/10 would recommend 👌

Cal did a fantastic job working on my vehicle! I had an issue with my alternator, where another mechanic shop said it would take three weeks to fix. Cal was able to fix it in one, as well as had great communication, and informed me on the situation, time and price. He even called to advise it was fixed sooner. My car has ran so much better since!

I give Cal 5 stars. Spending money on a transmission rebuild is never a priority, but when it's a necessity you want it done right. Cal did a rebuild on my transfer case and transmission on my 89 jeep YJ for what someone else would charge for just the transmission. He went the extra mile.

This man totally repaired a faulty transmission. Repaired an oil leak that was unfindable. His rate was cheaper than any I found. And on top of that when I went to pick it up, he aired up my tires and cleaned my windows.

Cal is the kind of person you don't see very often. He was honest and communicated every step of the process. GM could not find the problem with my 2019 silverado and a week later I had my truck back working better than ever. Cal has 38 years of experience and is an owner/operator of a non corporate company that really seems to care about his customers. Nobody wants to spend money fixing their vehicle but if you find yourself without vehicle due to transmission issues I would suggest you give him a call. He really is a one of a kind and i will always use CCMC to fix any transmission problems I may find myself dealing with in the future.

Cal is the guy to go to if you need any transmission work done. He offers great pricing and won’t try to nickel and dime you. He has great communication and lets you know what’s going on every step of the way. I happily drive a hour away from where I live and highly recommend his shop.

I had a great experience with this company. The no charge diagnostic fee is a bonus and saves you a couple hundred dollars. They are upfront, fair, and honest. Finally, I’ll have a mechanic shop that I can trust.
