I would give them a zero if I could. Very Rude. The guy Len started yelling at my wife in the office because she was questioning a charge on my bill. They charged her an extra 95$ to remove tint on 2 front windows. We never agreed to the charge. He worded it in such a way that implied it was free of charge- "don't worry we can remove it for you"- since they were already charging her for an inspection , she went along with it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM- especially if you're a female. They will take full advantage of you and bully you with their loud voices. Just go elsewhere, don't even bother.

Ever since I've moved to Baltimore from Cincinnati in 1993, I bought a Toyota truck in 1996 and Len Young and the folks at Central Service have repaired my vehicle. My father was a car mechanic and they have the same precision as my father when working on cars and trucks. They have given me GREAT service and the guy that had his gas cap lost....well, you must have gotten off on shakey footing with Len. His garage is as good as it gets, and his prices are VERY fair. I wouldn't take my truck anywhere else.

I called this morning to ask if I could bring my car in for a MD state inspection and they said yes. I dropped it off around 9:30am and they did the inspection right away. I went back to pick it up and it was quick and easy. Len was nice. I will definitely be back when I need other services for my car.

AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs. Brought my car in because it wouldn’t start and James told me that they had googled the issue and he was 90% sure that the problem was a cam sensor. After quoting me for $400 worth of repairs they called the next day and said that they had tried the sensors and it they still couldn’t figure out the problem. I asked how much I owed and they told me my total was $200 for labor and $89 for a computer reading. When I got to the location I asked if they had the old plugs and I was told that they had been thrown away. I then inquired on why I was being charged for $200 if they didn’t replace anything and their reply was that they spent several hours experimenting with different parts. I’m no mechanic but I do know that the dealership charges $100 for a diagnostic like most other places. Had they actually inspected the vehicle I probably wouldn’t have had to get it towed to the dealership. The dealership told me the fuel pump needed to be replaced and that it should have been an easy repair. James and the owner were VERY rude and highly recommend going elsewhere for your auto repair needs. I am a struggling college student and I feel like I was profiled and taken advantage of. Definitely reporting to the better business bureau. This place is unprofessional and they will take your money if you let them. DON’T BE ANOTHER VICTIM!!!!

since moving to baltimore in 2004, this is the only service and repair facility i've relied upon for maintaining my vehicles. this is a family owned business that has been around for more than 50 years. it's a fells point landmark, not a particularly fancy looking place.... however, it is professionally run, the pricing is fair, they know what they are doing, and they stand behind their work. it doesn't get any better than that. but it does...across the street, they maintain a very small used car sales lot. again, nothing fancy, just a small selection of very clean, reliable and fairly priced cars and trucks. i purchased one in 2009, and have been so pleased, i just now purchased another. in my entire adult life, i have never experienced a business run as efficiently and as honestly as central service and repair. you will not be disappointed.

I’ve taken both my cars to them for basic oil changes as well as repairs, and they are great to deal with. Recently, had an issue driving to work and pulled into the station. They had it fixed that day and even showed me the part that broke. I highly recommend this shop if you work or live in the Harbor East area.

I have utilized central service and repair continuously over the past 25 years. I work downtown and usually drop my car off on the morning for service and it will be ready by the afternoon. This is a true family business with three generations of mechanics that do quality work and stand behind it. I recommend them highly.

My car shut down late on a Sunday night, had it towed to Central and I dropped the keys in their mail slot with a note. They called me before 7:30 AM with a full description of the problem, a price estimate and an expected time the job would be complete (later that day). They completed the work as promised and I had my car back Monday afternoon. The cost was appropriate. I am really grateful for this place. They came through clutch when I needed them.

I never post reviews for anything really, but I felt obligated to post this one because they always go above and beyond. Living in Fells Point, Central Service & Repair has been our go-to local auto-mechanic for over 13 years. Len and his crew are super knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly customer focused - to the point where they’ll send us elsewhere if they don’t have the capability. I had an appointment at 8am and when I dropped my car off they told me they were finishing someone up and my car was next. I walked to get food and came back an hour and a half later and he told me there were 2 more cars in front of me now and it was going to be 2 more hours. Definitely would not recommend coming here. Very unprofessional and unorganized.

I had a state inspection done on my car on 8/14/2023 it didn’t pass at fist so I repair all the things they told me to repair. I thought that all the necessary repairs needed to pass where completed September 12 ,my right front ball joint broke when driving and said ball joint separating took out my cv shaft and cost me a tow bill , now I understand things go wrong on vehicles but in this time frame I imagine a worn ball joint would have would have been noticeable had it been properly inspected

I was in Baltimore for a medical appointment. After my appointment I was headed home to Richmond VA. The water pump in my car overheated and I had to pull over immediately. Thankfully I was near Central Service. Jeff was amazing! He diagnosed the problem and helped me find a hotel to spend the night. He had my car ready before 8:30am the next morning. His mother, Kathy even lent me a phone charger. Thanks Jeff. You are extraordinary!!!
