I am a Vermonter who coaches youth basketball, and i was in Brockton for the weekend. On a Saturday night my rear passenger side brakes wouldn't disengage. On a Sunday morning I had to try and find a place to get my brakes fixed by 11:00am, in order to make to my teams basketbal game. I called several places, which were all closed on Sundays. Luckily I found Center Street Automotive. They took a look at my brakes, gave me a ride to AutoZone for parts, and fixed my brakes. Everything was completely done by 10:00am. The mechanic was exrextrem helpful and went above and beyond. Thank you so much Center Street Automotive.

You're looking at my new go-to car repair shop. I needed new brakes somewhat urgently. They were able to get the job done in just a morning's time and charged the same prices I'm used to seeing for this kind of work. Here's how I know these guys are honest: I said I had been driving around with basically no brake pads for a bit and said I hoped I didn't need new calipers. They took a look and said the calipers were fine. They could have made an extra few bucks replacing those calipers but didn't. That, to me, says a lot.

I had such a positive experience with Centre St Auto and mechanic JC. During this recent heat wave, I had to bring my son from NEw York to New Hampshire and my brakes started to sound crunchy and awful. When I needed to get home and it was Saturday afternoon, Centre Street came to my rescue and immediately diagnosed the problem, found the parts and has them delivered and did the work replacing my brake pads and rotors within an hour! JC showed me the parts he had to replace so I understood what he had needed to do and the whole experience felt transparent and on the up and up. I could have been over charged given how desperate I obviously was to be able to get home, but I wasn’t and I appreciate how I was treated and the solid work done in such a last minute circumstance. The owner who I spoke with on the phone had told J.C. I was coming around 2pm and he waited til I arrived even though it was a Saturday and like 100 degrees. Good auto mechanic shop and good people! If I lived in the area, I would make them my regular mechanic shop. Thank you again!!!

Went at 630 with an emergency tire problem the day of a trip. Amazingly helpful person working there saved my skin - removed my wheel, patched a nail puncture in my tire, and filled my tank for just 50 bucks in under 10 minutes. I will be going there for fuel for a long time now because that was the most clutch auto help I've received in my life. *Careful pulling into one side if you have a lowered suspension or lip spoiler.

I stopped by after work to talk about the heat not working in my car and asking to get an appointment. Within minutes my good was up and we figured out the problem. He told me to leave the car and he would start working on it right away. A little after dinner I got a call telling me that the work would be done by 8pm and that I could get my car back the same day. Fast, honest and now I have heat, plus a mechanic I will gladly go back to!

Recently went in to get my inspection sticker renewed. We got there at 7AM and the man working said that generally inspections start at 7:30 but that the owner lived right down the street and he would text him. The owner arrived just a few minutes later. He informed us the inspection wouldn’t take long and we waited in the lobby. Unfortunately the RMV online service was down, so he took down our number and said he would call us when they were back up. He called just 40 minutes later to say it was back up if we’d like to bring the car back. My husband brought it back and it took under 10 minutes. Great service, and really appreciated how friendly and communicative they all were.

A Hidden Gem. This is a most wonderful business owner to support: I had just been ticketed in the north end for neglecting to get my Tesla inspected on time and had a family dinner reservation at 7pm in Boston. It was 4:45 pm and the inspection garage I’ve used for the past 20 years was closing at 5 pm so they couldn’t accommodate me (my bad for being a last minute customer). After calling around, only this owner was willing to re-open to do the inspection for a person who was not a regular client. He was cordial and friendly and had the work completed within 5-10 min. His staff also were professional and welcoming. The exterior is old world, it isn’t modern & glitzy, but this owner is special and highly recommended. I intend to drive the extra few miles to give him the business going forward.

Went to Centre Street Automotive for an oil change and for my inspection. I went on a weekday in the afternoon and I was one of a few people getting inspections. I was helped right away by a nice gentleman, and within 20 mins my car was ready to go! The pricing was standard but with service this efficient, I felt I was getting a bargain. I also noticed that there are beautiful flowers and an herb garden out front, which I thought was very sweet. I will definitely come back here!

Wally helped out with a broken stem on my back tire. (Happened on the highway at speed...) I'm new to the area and this place came highly recommended (thanks Google Reviews). Very affordable pricing for my particular need. ($30 stem repair and tire was put back on) They also do state inspection and other repairs. Call them up to find out more. (Edit: Bonus herb garden in the front to look at! The basil was pretty fresh.)
