If you’re literally out of options and have no choice I would consider this body shop. Otherwise take your business elsewhere. As other people have stated, they will continually try to push you to go through insurance just so they can make more money. They could care less about the client. I was tremendously overcharged and the work was mediocre. Professional scam artists. In addition, when I spoke to the receptionist she told me she would email me a copy of the repair order. After I said I wanted to check another place she refused to send me the repair order she had promised and then started to get nasty with me. Customer service was horrendous. I would never bring my own nor anyone else’s business here ever again.

My car was hit in the left rear, causing damage to the body and suspension. I did not have rental coverage on my insurance policy so the manager called a local rental company in downtown JC and got me a discounted rate on a rental car which was a big help financially. The repairs were done quickly and I could not tell what was repaired from the factory finish. The staff was very kind from the first day I dropped by car off until the final pickup. I highly recommend Centro Auto Body!!

I arrived totally unexpected, he assessed my car with no delays, worked on it for 1.5 hours in the HOT sun and was able to offer an optional fix to avoid me paying the overpriced dealer fees. My car was hit while parked on the street. Massive body damage to bumper/trunk and the back left-side. Later found out from the appraiser, over $5K in damages. I went to Centro after a recommendation from AAA. Harley, the owner, was communicative, transparent and a genuinely nice guy. The work, which was guaranteed, was finished before the estimated date and looked great -- better than before the accident. If you're in the greater Jersey City area and in need of auto body work, I highly recommend Harley and Centro.

My first experience here was great. I came in with a foot long scratch on the front end of my new car. I thought it was going to be an expensive paint job. The owner came out, and recommended we try sanding and compounding the scratch first. He offered to do it on the spot. Good as new! The whole thing took 10 minutes max. The charge was reasonable and when I was short 50 cents of the total in cash, he just took a dollar off the total. Friendly, honest, and helpful. What a local business should be. I'd certainly return with my auto body needs.

Centro Auto Body was fantastic! I brought my car in after another mechanic shop had scratched up my bumper but couldn't fix it themselves. Jon at Centro was extremely friendly and helpful and the work they did was outstanding! You can never even tell there was a huge scratch, it looks as good as new! I would definitely come back any time I need any body work done. The customer service and workmanship was exceptional.

I had an unbelievable experience with Centro Auto Body. John showed me great honesty, integrity, and service when handling my 2011 Toyota Camry. Other Body shops (as well as local dealerships in the area) quoted me upwards of $2000+ to fix some minor cosmetic damage on my car. John handled it for a fraction of the price and had the car ready sooner than expected on the same day. I was blown away by how great he was and how much money he was able to save me. Going forward Centro Auto is the only place I will go in Jersey City area for body work.

John and his team were excellent. Had my genesis (hard to get parts) worked on in an accident and John helped me with everything, from the insurance to the repairs they were great. Even felt like there was something else wrong after repairs and he brought me in, showed me it wasn’t due to the repairs he did, gave me advice on how to fix it, helped with a problem he saw that I didn’t and did it all at a great price. My new car acquired several scratches recently when someone backed into me. We didn't want to go through insurance. I went to three places for estimates and all told me they would need to remove the bumper and replace some hard plastic parts, and it would take between 4 days and over a week. Prices were $1,000 -$2000+. A friend told me if I had them remove the bumper it might void my warranty, plus they might mess up some other things on the car. I went to John at Centro and asked if they could do the job without removing anything or replacing any parts, basically buffing and painting. He had no problem with that and I had them do the job. It took a day and a half, was less than half of the lowest other estimate I got, and it looks perfect.
