The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because I've never been there in person and it's possibly better. Not worth the effort of trying to call or contact on website. Called and emailed twice on different days at different times in case they're busy. Second time I called someone picked up the phone just to hang it up. I don't even want to know what they're like in person anymore and would recommend taking business elsewhere.

This is pretty much a typical run of the mill shop. You can set up an "appointment" and 4 hours later they'll start working on it. The parking lot is a mess and there's nowhere for a customer to wait. You are forced to drop it off and hope that they get to it. There's a lot better options if your time and money is valuable to you. The 4.3 rating on this place is very suspect. Check out Need 4 Speed before you waste your time here.

As soon as I got off the car with my toddler and husband’s grandmother, the old man (mechanic) decided to give his own opinion on me bringing them with me. He stated it was impractical to bring “the whole family” to the auto shop. The employee was very unprofessional, I did not go there to be given his opinion on what I choose to do, I went there to get my car inspected. He wasn’t even the mechanic that was helping me. Please have employees trained better on keeping their unprofessional and unhelpful opinions to themselves.

I’ve been here before for repairs and that went ok. The price was decent and the time frame wasn’t too bad. The customer service has always been poor in my opinion. This time around my engine was overheating, so I took it in and they replaced the radiator fan which to me the work seemed a little shorty. There were some wires that didn’t look like they belonged where they were left poking out of the radiator fan but I figured it’s ok cause everything seems fine now. A little more than a year later my car is overheating again and to me it doesn’t sound like the fan is turning on. I take it to them for diagnosis and tell them that I don’t think the fan is turning on and that it’s overheating. Five hours later and they haven’t contacted me so I call them and to me it sounds like they haven’t even looked at my car. But an hour after that they call me and tell me that they couldn’t duplicate the overheating and didn’t find anything wrong with my car which I found very suspicious. I pick up my car and drive for a little less than a week and it starts to overheat again. I take it to another shop and they diagnose it with a bad connector and radiator fan.I believe the shotty electrical work at Chelmont is what led to my connector burning out and that Chelmont knew this but didn’t want to have to repair it free of charge cause it was their fault. I say this because when I got my car back from them after the diagnosis the wires that were poking out were mysteriously gone.Let’s just say I don’t trust Chelmont and won’t be giving them any more of my hard earned money.

Old man was very rude and very unprofessional critized and practically threw me out when he argued that i wasn't a regular customer that i shld have them fix my breaks with then but it was so expensive so i choosed to have it fix somewhere. " let me see if your car is done so you can get out of here"; that was so rude and very disrespectful. I will never go back there anymore

I usually go to mister mister for my wash and when I need an oil change or inspection. I came to this place because it's close to home and I can walk back if they are going to be a long wait. There is a restaurant across the street so no problem. I was told it could take an hour so I went across the street it took maybe less than 30 minutes the cashier was very friendly even told me what was good at the restaurant. My car was returned clean so I know they used wipes as I could smell the sanitizer not oil or smells from a garage. I'm sure I will go back to this place if I have mechanical problems. Very nice place.

Took my truck in for small leak diagnostic. They told me I need to replace the rack and pinion, replace the serpentine belt and the front shocks absorbents. The estimate added to over $900s. I left because didn't have that much money at the time. When I got home, about 1.5 miles away, I notice a serious oil leak from my rack and pinion. Not the leak I had before. They replaced the serpentine belt less than two month before, when I took the vehicle for annual inspection. Come to find out the original leak was from my water pump, the front shock didn't need replacement. I will not be going back to that place and will not recommended to anyone. Doing business there is a "bad day"!!!!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! We came from out of town for a wedding and our truck decided to give us issues. We called and they told us to go in right away. Raul took care of us from start to finish. He told us specifically what was wrong and didn’t beat around the bush. He was honest and I felt very comfortable letting them work on my car. What a lifesaver! They even took us back to our hotel and picked us up when the truck was ready. Truly blessed to have done business with them! Definitely recommend 100%!

Overall would not recommend. I took my car in for a diagnostic at 8am, I was told to drop it off and they’d call me later that day. They didn’t call me so I picked up my car before they closed. The diagnostic didn’t get done because “they were so busy and so many cars were ahead of me”. Ok next time please tell your customers how long they’ll have to leave their car for just a diagnostic. If you have too many cars for the day just say - sorry we’re at our limit for today, come back another day - or something like that. I also tried calling for an update many times throughout the day and they did not answer.

Went to get the state inspection at this place twice. Horrible customer service, I would not recommend anyone take their car here for inspection. Both times they had me waiting for well over an hour. Mechanics and employees are rude, and top it off, the waiting area is very small and uncomfortable. The owners family is frequently hanging out there making it an uncomfortable, stuffy waiting experience. Edit 2022: Went recently to get the state inspection here again. On this occasion the service was done reasonably quick. I have changed my rating in light of this. Also, waiting area was comfortable.

800 dollars to change water pump and diagnose fuel system. Then I drive away and starter all of a sudden stops working on the same day, COINCIDENTALLY. Talked to rude lady who denies they have anything to do with the starter. Starter was working perfectly well when I took it in. Very shady. NEVER AGAIN.

I’ve been here 3 separate times over 4-5ish years and they’ve done a great job all 3 times. First time they had to replace my rear wheel axle after an accident. Next they replaced my engine as I blew it, at first they didn’t want to but the owner convinced the mechanic it was possible so why not. This meant a lot to me as I had just 2 months with my car and I was really upset. Now I had a sensor replaced and they got me in and out in 15min as I had the part ready. First two repairs were pricey but for the work they did. It was well worth it.

Took my car a month ago to replace my control arm which cost me 600$+ just noticed my wheel stud was broken and they stripped my anti steal lug nut. And they didnt tell me. Been driving it like this for a month couldve been in a horrible accident or even worse dead. And they didnt tell me anything just thank you for your business and give me your money. Not considered for human life
