These guys (Chip, Tom, Mike, & their NAPA manager friend) practically saved my life a few hours ago. I couldn't get there until about their closing time because of my work and they initially wanted to fix it the next morning but would be booked out for a week. I needed my car 100% for work Sat/Sun and I follow a Biblical calendar which set this week's Gregorian "Friday" on a natural 7th day Sabbath so I couldn't in good conscience let them work in the morning, but then thought perhaps it was essentially just an emergency at that point and should just get it fixed or I'm going to be completely stuck and ruined. Believe it or not, they somehow just figured everything out from running to the shop to completely getting my car back together running perfectly. I was still able to get gas and groceries before sunset, which is exactly what I needed even just for this evening. I can hardly even believe it. I'm able to rest properly and have everything I need tonight including a nice evening pizza meal. I'm amazed this even happened.

I took my car in to Chip's. It was something electronic. They were very thorough and explained everything about what I need to do. I appreciate their honesty. The staff are all very friendly and personable. If you want to take your car someplace where they do great work and are honest people. Take your car to Chips.

Chips Auto definitely deserves their A+ BBB standing and high Google reviews! After my stepfather passed away, I never thought I’d find another honest mechanic but Chip and his crew fill the role. From the initial phone call to driving away with a fixed car, Chips Auto was knowledgeable, efficient, fairly priced and treated me with such kindness. I highly recommend Chip and his company.

When the truck starts driving funny or I think I hear something, even when it's nothing or in my Chips voice "it's got 200k miles on it" 😁 he will do whatever it takes to get you right! I had an issue with my car overheating. They were quick to find the issue and they repaired a broken hose for me. Honest, affordable and quick. They also do oil changes (which I learned today.) I'll see you guys in 3000 miles!😊

After taking my Gmc Yukon to 5 shops with each one saying they had no idea what was wrong with it, Chips set me up with a surprisingly cheap tow company to get it there and called me 2 days later to let me know they not only found the exact issue but it was running and ready to go. I live in Ohio and work in Indiana so its a far drive to get there but more than worth it, i rarely leave reviews but Chips is more than deserving, i cant recomend them enough!

Excellent and fast service. My car needed a new alternator and belt. The price I paid was under the original estimate. There was a mix up with my telephone number and they went above and beyond to contact me in less than 48 hours to let me know my car was ready. 5 Stars – Honest, Efficient, and Excellent Communication I recently took my car to Chips Auto Repair in Fort Wayne after noticing some issues but not being exactly sure what was wrong. Since moving to Fort Wayne nearly a year ago, I’d been hesitant to find a new mechanic—I had someone I really trusted before relocating, and finding that kind of service again can be tough. Thankfully, Chips Auto Repair exceeded every expectation. They diagnosed the problems quickly—turns out I needed all four brake pads replaced, new spark plugs, and a repair on my right front axle. I’m not very knowledgeable about the cost of car repairs, but I didn’t find their pricing to be expensive at all, especially considering the amount of work that was done. Everything felt fair and transparent. What really stood out was their outstanding communication. They kept me updated every step of the way, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood what was going on. They even worked around my schedule, letting me drop off my car when it was convenient—and they had everything done the same day. It’s rare to find a mechanic that’s both skilled and trustworthy. Chip and his Car Care Team were able to diagnose and fix my alignment problems. Not only that, they got it completed THE SAME AFTERNOON! I couldn't be happier with the "can do" attitude as I was not very hopeful after taking my Honda to 2 different shops. I wont even consider going anywhere for any other car problems than Chip's. My husband brought our car in for repairs and when we got our car back one of the guys smoked in our car..the vents smelled like cigarettes too..took a couple days for the smell to go away..I called to talk to the owner Chip and they took a message for him to call me back and he never did. I would consider that not so good customer service and a lack of respect for the customer ..smoking in a non smokers car..it smelled like an ash tray.
