It's impossible to plan and foresee a random vehicle breakdown. When my brakes decided to seize up randomly late in the day Christian Brothers was there for me. Mike, Ken, Muhammad are all very knowledgeable and courteous and regularly go above and beyond. It’s not all about how much money they can get out of you (like so many other garages around here). This team sincerely care about your car’s longevity and your safety. Their waiting room is comfortable and CLEAN. Christian Brothers Automotive in Aurora is a really nice shop. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, and the staff is always professional and respectful. Their detailed inspection reports and shuttle service are great touches that make the experience more convenient. That said, I’m giving them three stars because their pricing is on the higher side—sometimes even more expensive than the dealership. While they do solid work, I’ve noticed them recommending services that aren’t actually needed. For example, they told me my sway bar links needed to be replaced because they looked like the original factory parts. The funny thing is, I had replaced them less than 1,000 miles ago—with OEM parts. Just because they weren’t aftermarket didn’t mean they were old. Another time, they recommended replacing my cabin air filter because of a mileage-based sticker I had put under the dash. What they didn’t realize was that I had already replaced it myself, so they were going off mileage rather than actually checking the filter. If you don’t mind the higher prices and can double-check their recommendations, they’re a solid choice. The service and attention to detail are definitely there, but it’s worth making sure everything they suggest is actually necessary.

I have no problem with the oil change itself. My problem is the cost. I have never paid $99 for an oil change. Also, when I called before my appt inquiring about the rate I was told $69 (slightly more than what the dealer was charging but I was trying to support local). Being on fixed income, in the future I'll probably pursue less expensive options.

Came here on a whim because of a loose heat shield causing noises- previous shop told me it was a problem with the brakes and to have them checked out… Christian brothers confirmed it was just the heat shield. Reattached it where possible and got my car back within 24 hours. I loved the online view of the appraisal that showed exactly how each part they were talking about worked in the car. This experience is directly and indirectly affected me about the services that was received from this location in Aurora Illinois on New York St. my son took his vehicle to this location on two occasions. The first occasion services were not totally completed that he needed rendered, but he was charged the full price that he was quoted for the total Services The second time that he took his vehicle he explained exactly what he thought the situation was and they agreed to help him come to some kind of determination some kind of Clarification of his thinking what the issue could be they charged him $150 to tell him that it was his battery what testing of the battery they did I’m not quite sure but replacing the battery and the contacts the not the boat they go into the contacts one was put in Opposite direction of what it should’ve been put in making it just about impossible to get to it and the boat was extremely extremely tighten that it was impossible to break the grip….upon returning the vehicle back so they could break the grip and we could have a new battery replaced. They did none of what should’ve been done or what was asked to be done no accountability… We don’t know which technicians worked on the car, but the service person greeter that we encounter upon walking into the corridor of the establishment was to my first time he was very Nonchalant about the services indirect and answering questions in advertently disrespectful and did nothing to correct the situation nor being accountable for what created the mishandling of and bad service I am very disappointed and I feel bad for my son because I was the one who recommended that he take his vehicle there and they Seem to have taken advantage of a vulnerable young man just wanting some honest corrections done to his vehicle so that he could put it back on the road correctly this kind of thing happens more than we know and what to speak about this place is Christian brothers by name, but are the employees Christians by faith or by heart ?I will never ever recommend this place to friends or family Being that this establishment is very new to our community here in Aurora I was hoping for better. …while we were shooed off until tomorrow and upon tomorrow services were still not rendered that solved anything. It only created a worse situation for us AND THE SERVICE PERSON KNOWS WHAT HE DID!!!!

GET SECOND AND THIRD OPINIONS WHEN IT COMES TO THE COST! While it is a clean looking building inside and out and looks professional, their prices are insane. I went there earlier for a second opinion on the price of a part and they were almost double the cost of my mechanic that I've been using for the last 20 years. that's too bad because they are literally 3 minutes away from my house. But I will gladly drive an extra half an hour to save hundreds of dollars per visit. Their markups are insane!

First time here. Brought in my RDX for a transmission oil drain and refill. They are very transparent on pricing. I called ahead and got a quote, they are quite competitive in pricing also. Service was good, and mechanics are happy to chat with you on details of vehicle. Manager on duty was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place. Does NOT have any sketchy mechanic vibes. Would not recommend. Went in for electrical work and they charge diagnosis. I understand charging diagnosis and I'm fine with that. But if I wanted to get the repairs done I would have to pay diagnosis and the cost of fixing my car when most places would waive diagnosis if the work was done with them

From start to finish, the team was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Since I couldn’t stay long enough in one day for both the oil change and inspection, they kindly split the service into two appointments to work around my schedule, which I really appreciated. They were also very thorough with the inspection—it took about 45 minutes, and they provided me with a detailed report including photos and clear explanations. They gave me an honest estimate of the work that will need to be done eventually and let me know what can safely wait. Overall, I’m extremely happy with their service.
