Have had rear brakes and an alignment done at this location. They are competitively priced, don’t try and over sell you on unnecessary services and are quick with the work. Staff is friendly and polite as well.

We are from out of state and were working nearby when one of our trucks experienced a total brake failure. Mike actually returned a call without a voicemail! We got the truck to the facility. It was assessed quickly and work was completed in the time frame we needed. Nice people who did what they said they would do!

Michael, Celso, and Gavin took awesome care of me while I was getting my suspension work done. Michael handled the hassle of the insurance company for me, Celso did awesome work on my car, and Gavin made sure I wasn't stranded out in the cold 😅 Thanks y'all!

The A/C on my Toyota Sienna went out, and these guys took care of it perfectly. Rob, the manager, was awesome - super professional, straightforward, and made the whole process stress-free. He explained everything clearly, got me back on the road quickly, and the repair was done right the first time. The air is ice cold now, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s rare to find a shop that’s this honest and customer-focused. Highly recommend asking for Rob if you go - he’ll take great care of you!

I went in late last night after searching at other places, because my check engine light came on. Fernando and Mike took great care of me as well as the other customers. I appreciate them for being so nice, attentive and friendly.

If you want to repair your car and are considering Tuffy, I recommend the Aurora center. They have good service, treat customers well, offer reasonable prices, and are honest. Avoid Tuffy Batavia—bad experience, poor customer treatment, dishonest, and exorbitant prices.

I came out to Aurora for an oil change with a 40 dollar coupon. I was charged 19 dollars more for 1.6 quarts more of oil. Very disappointed and will never travel that distance again for a coupon. My friend went to Plainfield site and they did not treat her this way. I will not be returning to tuffy in Aurora. I offered to put the 1.6 quart in myself and they would not allow this.

Back in 2022 my son had his brakes replaced and his Serpentine belt was also replaced. I had to come back to the shop multiple times to have the brakes checked because the brakes were grinding so bad only to find out that the technician had put on bad brake pads. Fast forward to 2025 and the brakes and the Serpentine belt had to be replaced again at a different shop. Had the job been done correctly the first time I would not have found myself spending more money to have the job redone. It is safe to say that I will not be giving Tuffy on North Aurora Road any more of my business. I feel like there is something shady going on over there. You have definitely lost a customer but I guess it doesn’t matter because there are probably people out there that are not aware of your shady business practices!!

A check-engine light popped on in our Kia Soul and we took it to Tuffy since it was nearby. Michael was very sympathetic to our concerns and walked me through everything very patiently and diligently. Turns out our engine was consuming oil and they flushed everything out and topped us off. Said we could come as often as necessary to inspect the oil consumption and they would top it off free of charge if necessary. Moving forward, we will only ever do our oil changes at this location since they stand by their work and service. Michael at the front desk is kind, considerate and understanding.

I took advantage of a coupon to get an amazingly priced full synthetic oil change. I reserved a timeslot online, and brought the car at the appointed time. Work began promptly, and was completed in less than an hour. Tuffy also performed a comprehensive inspection, documenting it with photos! I was pleased to be told that no other work was needed at this time, not even an air filter. I will most certainly bring my business here again.

Will be coming back for when its time for my front brakes to be replaced. Really great and professional service. Amazing communication!

My family has been going to this tuffy since we lived here. My grandpa had 14 cars and would bring them all in over time. We were treated very well by Jason. He never made us feel like we were uneducated. When I got my car in September 2022 they told me it was in the best condition they had ever seen for a car from 2003… and then said that 75% of the car had problems. The car had a new battery when I got it and was overall pretty good for that old of a car. They fixed everything and it was $3000 which is a lot of money for someone who was in high school making $9000 a year. A couple of months go by and I went to start my car in a parking lot to go home and it wouldn’t start. The tow truck was only able to start my car with their jumper cables because normal jumper cables didn’t even work. We brought it in and they told me that my alternator was messed up. They were the only people that had ever fixed my car but they still made me pay for the fix. Jump forward to about a year later and my car won’t start again. It would turn on if jumped with the tow truck jumper cables just like last time. The only problem is that it wouldn’t start without help from a second battery. We brought it in and you can probably figure out what was wrong. The alternator AND my belts were seconds from snapping. They fixed it but again made me pay for it and claimed that it must have come loose. Jump to January of 2025 and my car won’t start at all. We tried jumping it and it just wouldn’t. We ended up getting a second battery attached to it again and were able to get it down the street to the tuffy. They told me that my battery died because I wasn’t driving my car enough, it’s cold outside, and I wasn’t driving it for long enough when I was driving it. I drive my car every day for 50 minutes a day minimum. I didn’t drive it for 1 week and my battery goes from 700 something to 60. They said the battery was the only problem and we asked if the alternator being messed up by them before would have drained the battery that much. They said it’s possible but probably not and doubled down saying it was my fault. 2 days go by and my check engine light comes back on. I didn’t bring it into a shop because I was getting sick of having to pay for the same issue over and over. A few days ago my car was making a screeching noise and I brought it to a different shop. They just told me that my radiator was leaking and broke my thermostat because of the leak. They also told me that whoever fixes my car normally knew about the leak because there was “stop leak” in the radiator. We were never told by anyone at Tuffy that my radiator was leaking. They even said in January that the battery was the only problem and that they checked. I’ve never felt more unsafe in a car after finding out that not only are the people who fix my car not telling me about the problems that the car has, but we were also told that one of the people who was fixing my car was COMING IN TO WORK INTOXICATED. How are you going to tell us about this and then not make sure that the 75% of my car that he fixed is actually fixed. They fixed my wheel alignment because it was supposedly unsafe to drive with how unaligned they were. How can I trust that my car is not going to randomly stop working when they clearly are not fixing very important parts of my car correctly. I wish that Jason would have stayed at Tuffy because then I wouldn’t have to feel unsafe in my “best condition we have ever seen” car. Car information and photos from when it was bought: 48,000 miles when I got it, 61,000 miles now after 2 and a half years. 2003 Chevy blazer that multiple people at multiple repair shops have said is in mint condition with almost no problems. It has very little rusting which I have been told is not causing any issues. Both owners of my car before me kept it in a garage for most of its life so most of the issues it had were related to not being driven, but the dealership we got it from said they fixed all the issues that would have been caused by that.

As a woman never come here alone. They will try to rip you off. I took my Toyota here for an oil change and just a regular inspection. They come off as friendly but they are trying to get as much money from u as possible. He told me my serpentine belt would cost 500$ to replace and also told me my whole rear differential was so bad and how I shouldn’t drive it at all and it needed to be completely replaced for 2200$ I asked was there anyway to repair it without having it replaced and he assured me that was the only way and tried to scare me into thinking it was unsafe to drive because of the major leak. I decided to take it to another shop. They replaced my serpentine belt for 190$ and told me my rear differential wasn’t leaking that back but from the seals. They were able to get the part needed to seal up the leak directly from Toyota and charged me 300$. Tuffy was going to get almost 3k from me for some stuff that could be repaired no where near that cost. I will never bring my car to them again. Be careful they will up sale u and can’t be trusted

I was very impressed with their estimation and work authorization process. It allowed me to select which services I felt I needed now.And which I could defer. The work that was performed, replacing brakes discs calipers was very well done. I inspected the work and found it to be probably better than OEM. I BELIEVE THEY ADDED AT LEAST TWO MORE YEARS TO MY FOURTEEN YEAR OLD CAR. I am not a shill for this company, but I must say and you know it's true that good service isn't cheap and cheap service isn't good.

Took my car in for basic maintenance, the service advisor Garry did a good job letting me know the issues on my car. And the mechanic Adam, was very nice and thorough with the inspection. Price was reasonable and will definitely come back again :)
