My car broke down pretty early in the morning today. Called Christian Brothers to see whether there's someone that could give me a jump, and sure enough Keaton showed up in less than 5 mins. Drove to CBA, the battery got replaced, and I was out in less than an hour. Freaking awesome. They have a customer for life.

We had the BEST experience at Christian Brothers Automotive in Covington. My husband, two of our kids, and I were on our way from Lafayette to Destin for vacation when we hit a tire on I-10 and started hearing a concerning noise. Not knowing where to go, I did a quick Google search and was immediately drawn to their name—being Christians ourselves, it stood out to us in the best way. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, with no appointment, and were greeted so kindly. From the moment we pulled in, we never felt like a bother. We explained what happened, and their team came outside right away to take a look. Within minutes, they had our vehicle lifted in the shop and diagnosed the issue—a bent piece near the drive shaft that was rubbing and causing the noise. Here’s the part that blew us away: they fixed it on the spot in under 10 minutes, and they didn’t charge us a thing. All they said was that they wanted to make sure we made it to our vacation safely. That kind of care and generosity is so rare and truly appreciated. The shop itself was also incredible—clean, welcoming, with free coffee, snacks, and even coloring supplies for the kids. We were so impressed by the entire experience and we were thrilled to learn there’s a Christian Brothers location back home in Lafayette. From now on, they’ve got our business for life. Thank you to the entire team at Christian Brothers Covington for showing true kindness and professionalism. You turned a stressful situation into a blessing!

From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I felt very positive of where I brought my car. They were concerned & determined to find out what was wrong was wrong w/my car! Before I could sit down they asked me if I wanted something to drink & they also offered snacks! I’ve never been to a repair shop that did that! Very heartwarming! One of our Pastors from church recommended me go there. He told me to talk w/a gentleman by the name of John. Come to find out I had already new John & his wife McKenzie from the church campus across the lake in Metairie! I will recommend them to friends & family here on the north shore! Very well satisfied! 😊

Last week our family was traveling from Fort Worth Texas to Santa Rosa Florida when the worst happened: our AC stopped working 🙃 in August. Needless to say it was a terribly stressful start to what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. After being rejected by another auto shop in Covington, we tried our luck with Christian Brothers and finally got the help we needed and more. It turned out to be a bigger problem than expected with 2 repairs needing attention and parts needing to be ordered. We were going to be here for a while with a 3 year old. John. Was. Amazing. He offered to drive us to the movies and even suggested a local book store to spend time at to keep her entertained. After the movie we thought our car would be ready but it was proving to be a difficult repair with one of the parts being delayed in delivery to the shop. I was getting stressed but he kept such a positive and helpful attitude especially in offering different things to keep our toddler entertained and drove us out to dinner. It was nearing time for the shop to close and our car was still under repair. We were nervous that we would have to start looking for a hotel to stay close by so they could finish it the next day, but the team stayed over an hour past closing time to make sure we left and were back on the road with a repaired AC blowing icy air back at us that night. They never seemed frustrated having to stay overtime and were super generous, helpful and positive through out the entire process. They even called the next day to make sure we made it to our destination safely 🫶 Thank you to the team who worked on our car and John for your hard work and positivity! The rest of our trip was very comfortable thanks to you!

So far they have been very helpful. It is unusual to take the car in for work and not do anything expensive. It is almost unbelievable. It takes a whole day to keep my car but the cost was great. Also, the staff at CB was excellent

I’ve been to this business twice over the course of a month. The first one to get a car alignment for my wife’s Honda pilot. The second for an oil change with tire rotation and repair. We had a very slow leak and I couldn’t see but , sure enough a tiny nail kept letting air out. The prices were very competitive and timing was much quicker the other businesses I’ve been at. One thing that’s very important is the waiting area. I’m usually staying and waiting for the vehicle, I’ll say the snacks and drinks with comfortable seating helps with the time. They also have WiFi available if your service provider doesn’t work. I always thought it was crazy going to a dealership to pay more for service and being given a free bottle of water and middle school hard chairs to sit on. If your trying decide on what place to visit, I would highly recommend this business and location. Pricing estimates are up front so no surprise billing. If something else develops, they will communicate updates and changes.

DO NOT USE THEM!!! I never would write a bad review on anyone, but don’t want anyone to go through what I’ve been through. What was a simple replace of a belt that barely had tiny squeak I ask them to change ended up the loudest annoying noise AFTER they put new belt on. I took it back to them they proceeded to tell me I needed a new water pump and another part replaced that was going to cost almost $4000!!!!!! Now after them checking for the 2nd time my LEXUS sounds horrible!!!!!! The noise from squeaking is louder than ever. I proceeded to call several other local places to get pricing on what they had quoted needed to be done, three very reputable places were all $1000 LESS than quote that was given from Christian Brothers!!!!!! Red flag!!!!!!!! While I was waiting on my vehicle a customer brought back vehicle they had did simple oil change on day before & that customer had oil pouring out everywhere!!! They are very friendly there, but BEWARE!!!!!

🚨 WARNING TO ALL CUSTOMERS — READ BEFORE USING THIS SHOP 🚨 My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive in Covington was one of the most deceptive, unprofessional, and manipulative automotive services I’ve ever encountered, and I want to warn the public so nobody else goes through what I did. I requested a full transmission flush & fill for my 2022 Ford Transit Connect. I was very clear about this from the first phone call. The estimate they sent even listed 9 quarts of Mercon ULV — a quantity ONLY used for a flush. That’s the only reason I approved the estimate. I do my research, I know my transmission model, and I know the difference between a flush and a drain & fill. A drain & fill uses roughly 4–5 quarts, not 9. Fast forward: I drop the van off. No updates. No calls. No delays communicated. Hours pass. When I finally check in myself, I'm told it’s “almost ready.” When I show up, I learn that they DID NOT perform the service I approved. They did a drain & fill instead — without contacting me, without asking permission, and without explaining anything beforehand. They made that decision entirely on their own. When I questioned it, the tech told me, “We don’t have a flush machine.” The service manager backed him up. Both acted like a flush wasn’t even possible at their shop. Then the owner later told me they DO have one, but “don’t use it often.” So which is it? Why did three different employees give me three different stories? And why did the technician proceed with the wrong job when the estimate clearly showed 9 quarts, which no competent tech would ever associate with a simple drain & fill? The receptionist also told me the original estimate had been “overwritten” and couldn’t be accessed — yet the owner claimed he still had it. Again: more contradictions and more evidence of dishonesty. Then came the worst part: They refused to release my van unless I paid for the incorrect service. I rely on this van for work. They knew it. They waited until the last minutes before closing and boxed me in. That is coercive, unethical, and absolutely unacceptable. I paid under duress because I had no choice — and they knew exactly what they were doing. Had anyone called me, even once, to say: “We don’t recommend a flush,” “We don’t have the equipment,” “We need to change the service,” I would have CANCELLED immediately. Instead, they made their own decision, provided a service I did not authorize, charged me for it, and tried to justify it after the fact. The owner’s “resolution” was to tell me to bring it back so they could do the flush… the same flush his staff claimed they couldn’t do, on the same machine they allegedly didn’t even have. After everything I experienced, he expected me to trust them again? Absolutely not. This shop demonstrated: – False information – Contradictory statements – Zero communication – Unauthorized service changes – Holding a customer’s vehicle until payment is made – A pattern of deceptive behavior among multiple employees There is no scenario where this is acceptable business practice. None. I strongly urge anyone considering this shop to think twice. If this is how they handle something as straightforward as a requested transmission service — ignoring the estimate, ignoring the customer, altering the job, pressuring for payment, and lying to cover the mistakes — imagine how they’ll handle something serious. Consumers deserve honesty, consent, and communication. I received none of that here. This was, without exaggeration, one of the most unethical automotive experiences I’ve ever had. Be warned.

We bought the car from Carmax and purchased the carmax extended warranty. During the holidays carmax service department was overbooked so they recommended Christian Brothers to do the work. CB was happy and excited to do the repair. They communicated any issues and answers very quickly and worked as a go between with us and the carmax extended warranty CSR. We were very happy with the repair and service we received. We will be back at CB the next time we have an issue with this Lexus.

My experiences have always been top of the line! Every staff member there, from the front office, to the workers in the back, to the person who runs the whole show, are quality! Another nice trait is they are super hospitable! They make everything super convenient. Another thing they have that I appreciate is a complimentary shuttle car that is able to bring me wherever i need to be since I don’t have much support to do so. I can't say enough about John and his crew at CB. We have been trusting them with all our vehicles for years. Recently I brought my Ford Explorer ST in because Inwas receiving codes and had them look at it. John had some internal issues that lead to my car sitting there for a week. He stepped in and apologized for what had happened and communicated with me daily till we worked through the issues I was experiencing. He went above and beyond helping me with a rental while CB and Ford worked through the issues. I can't say enough about the ENTIRE team at CB and the incredible service they provided and continue to provide. If you want the best and most honest team to handle your cars needs this is the only place I trust. They are professional and very thorough. John stepped up and owned the rough start and again stayed with me everyday going above and beyond helping me with a rental and the invoice. John you have a great team and your are a great leader! We are clients for life! Don't take your vehicle anywhere else! A special thank you to Johns wife and Sienna she is awesome!
