Can't say enough good things about Chuck and this shop. He's done multiple repairs for me and always tells me what's necessary, what can wait (to save money). He also helped me purchase a new car by looking over 3 vehicles I may have bought and regretted otherwise, without his input - and he didn't charge me a penny. Great, trustworthy shop, and I'll continue to bring my vehicles to him in the future, though hopefully this new car will run for a while without needing any repairs :) Thanks again, Chuck!

I was still struggling to find a good garage after moving here from Ann Arbor. One of my friends recommended Chucks and I am so glad I went there. They diagnosed and fixed my air conditioner quickly and offered options in my price range. 3 months later I notice a missing cover for my fuse box when I get an oil change. I called them and they replaced it for free. Talk about great customer service!

They always give great quality services in all the years and really know what they're doing. I've been bringing my cars to them many years. I have been taking my car to Chuck's Auto for almost 25 years. He has always been honest, upfront and let's me know what he would do if it was his own vehicle. They ALWAYS call you prior to performing any of the work and give you an estimate of the charges. They will also help you prioritize things in order of importance if the cost exceeds what you want/can spend at that time. Elissa is wonderful and has offered in the past to run my husband up to work in lieu of him walking since his employer is close to downtown. I would highly recommend them!

I took my car for a simple repair last year, and was so impressed! The lovely woman up front, Elissa, gave me a ride to work to save me from having to Uber! So when my car started overheating last Friday night, I called Chuck’s and left a message and I was called back first thing Monday morning. I was able to have it towed in and they looked at it and gave me a quote just a couple hours later!! Price was very fair and the work was done very quickly! Chuck is super knowledgeable and I never felt he was trying to up-sell anything! I will always recommend him to everyone! I hope I don’t have to come back soon, but when I do, I will always bring my car here! Thanks again!

I strongly recommend Chuck's for the following reasons: -They went above and beyond when my car wouldn't start. They set me up with a towing company, and even picked me up when the job was finished. The customer service was beyond awesome! -They were one of six local mechanics that I contacted. Four of those establishments said they wouldn't even be able to look at my vehicle until the following week. The fifth said they would need at least 3 days. Chuck's fixed our car in less than 24 hours! -Chuck himself must be a wizard because he managed to get parts and repair my vehicle for 30% less than the next lowest quote! If you want quality work done in a timely fashion, at a fair price, then do yourself a favor and call Chuck's. The experience I had there really made the best of an unfortunate scenario for me. I am exceptionally satisfied and will gladly call them again next time I'm having car trouble. Thank you guys for being awesome, real people, who make their living helping others.

Chuck was supposed to do a simple oil change for me but he noticed some major issues that my car needed fixed. He called me prior to doing the work and got my approval before doing the work. He charged me a very fair price and was very nice. He also got everything done within a reasonable time. I would highly recommend chucks auto!! He’s the most reasonable mechanic I’ve been to in GR.

I don’t recommend Chuck’s Auto Shop. After taking in my VW the owner, Chuck said that he was 99% sure he was fixing the correct issue. I paid him $740 for him to replace a part that didn’t need to be fixed. I am now having to pay $500 to get the correct part fixed in my car at another place. Absolutely no cooperation or kindness when presented with this issue. Very rude and cold. Don’t take you car there or get a 2nd opinion!

With my trustworthy regular mechanic close to retirement and selling his shop, I have been shopping around for a possible replacement. After getting snuck in a snow bank, my Camry's splash pad came undone. When a few other shops in the area didn't respond to my emails or voicemails, I reached out to Chuck's and he called me first thing the next morning. He got me on the schedule and had me in and out in under two hours with new clips, full tires, and a cleaner suspension. I think I found my new go-to shop.
