Incompetent so called mechanic that will rip you off. This place had my vehicle for over a month, after replacing the fuel pump plugs wires coil computer and starter he then finds the problem some burnt wires on the wiring harness to the injectors. Skeptical that I really needed these parts I asked him to give me the old ones back, and he wouldn't. The place looks like a junk yard, the whole shop inside and out is a complete mess. BEWARE THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO. I WOULDN'T BRING BACK ANY OF MY VEHICLES FOR EVEN AN OIL CHANGE. When I did question the bill and the parts I knew were working when I dropped it off like the starter Chuck went on this temper tantrum kicking and throwing junk around his shop while his wife was just plain rude berating me and trying to defend his integrity. The lesson has been learned about this place don't be a victim of Chucks automotive!

I used Chuck for years until I realized he was ripping me off for thousands. The last time it was so bad I had to have my insurance tell them to redirect all communication concerning my car and payment to them because him and his wife were blowing up my phone when they already knew the payment was direct and not from me. Also apparently fudged some numbers and what was needed to the insurance company and didn't actually fully fix the issues. Steer clear of Chuck for any and all service and repairs.

Someone wrote "great customer service"..? What a joke!! My wife's engine light came on and auto zone recommended chucks auto. Went there and he was great, recognizing and fixing the issue. I went ahead and asked for a tune up, was called later to pick up the car. When I arrived, I asked if he could show me what he had done. Both him and his wife started cursing and was acting crazy. Finally he put back the wires and plugs but incorrectly! We drove right behind the VFW and broke down. I went to him and he acted insane again. All i asked was he could put back the parts correctly."For free" his wife replies. I called the police and they really couldn't assist. Twilight Zone foreals...dont go there

Took car in for rack and pinion said he had aligned it then he said he didn't cost me more money at different shop.. just left shop to pay bill for a wheel cylinder put on, called and said you charged me $15 for cleaner and lubes and he said the mechanic cleaned wheel area. I said he sprayed brake cleaner on twice, you can take wheel drum off and see it's all greasy and dirty, Chuck said in an angry voice come back I'll give you the money and don't ever bring your vehicle here again and hung up..excellent customer service...what an asshat..I'm a business owner myself doing remodeling work and if I spoke to a customer that way I'd have no customers..I would not recommend him..by the way he charged me $159 to put a wheel cylinder on and a pair of brake pads in the back..I had to show mechanic how to put brake pads on, he had no idea how to do it..what a ripoff mechanic

I stopped by this place to do a vehicle inspection on a truck that I was looking to purchase and they took ample time to thoroughly inspect it top to bottom and inside and out! I was impressed at the attention to detail and the time spent on a FREE service that they offer. Chuck & Josh expressed great knowledge of what to look for when purchasing a pre-owned vehicle. I explained that I was from out-of-town in the beginning and they still took great care of us.

Car owner beware! I took my vehicle to chuck after having an engine problem. I was told that the engine repair was going to be $4000. Chuck told me that there was a fatal problem with the engine. There was nothing that he could do other than rebuild the current one or get a remanufactured engine. Total repair cost of $5300. Because I was going to have to get a loan to pay for the engine repair I took it for a second opinion. The second shop fixed my vehicle for $160. It was not the engine they cleaned the catalytic converter out. I am not sure that Chuck even looked at the engine. I would not recommend Chuck's Automotive repair. Seemed that he was more concerned with selling synthetic motor oil and a new engine than actually fixing my vehicle.

Outstanding mechanic. A little slow to get parts in but the work was solid, well done. He takes his time and does the job right the first time. He charges based on job, not hourly. I took my car to several other people who instantly said everything i needed taken care of had to be completely replaced, which of course cost triple the price. They wouldnt even try other less expensive options. Chuck fixed what needed fixed without replacing anything and he even went.out of his way to.fix a few things i disnt even mention without charging me. I trust him. I will most definitely keep him as my regular mechanic. His only pitfall is he needs good help and he struggles to find good reliable help, which costs him some business and that is in part why hes slow because hes stuck doing it all himself. Chuck is wonderful, truthful, and doesn't replace what doesn't need replaced. He tries fixing first, uses after market parts when he can to save cost and even painted the after market parts to look like they matched my car. You would.never.know they weren't factory parts. He is so helpful too I needed a ride to.work and his wife.drove.me.to work and.came.and.got.me when the car was done. I highly recommend this very underrated, hardworking mechanic! Just cause he's a small place doesn't at all mean he's not good. Been in business more than 30 years. Very knowledgeable about everything and again, I trust his opinion. I had my hood replaced after it was smashed in, a window replaced after.it busted mysteriously, had my mirror replaced and all painted to match my car. Work took one day. He even fixed my door panels and seal with epoxy and they look brand new. every other person i took it to swore I had to fully replace the door panels and seals.for.more than $1000 and told.me there was no way they could be fixed. Chuck exposed the door panels, and all the seals for a mere.$50 and three months later they are still holding strong, aren't lose, and look good as new. He even fixed my window regulator, which had stopped working for free since he had the door apart anyway. Other places like swidish automotive wanted to charge me $650 to fix the window regulator even though no new material was needed it was just knotted from where the window broke. Swidish automotive broke.both door panels and my headlight clip and wouldn't even admit to having done it. They tried to say the door panel was broke when I brought it in, which it wasn't and tried to sell me a totally new panel and seal for $1500. Chuck fixed the panel and all the outside seals for $50. Great guy. Very honest. Just a little on the slow.side cause he can't get.good reliable help, which isnt his fault. People these days dont want to work. They want to screw around, work whenever they please, and do a half ads job. Chuck demands quality or he won't keep you on. He also does.me to ring for anyone interested in becoming a mechanic. He's a great teacher I hear. What can I say, he's great and I'm glad to have found him

I have taken my car to Chuck's four times to get the air conditioner fixed. Each time he told me it was fixed and before I could get home with it, it was like a sauna in my car. Blowing hot air and then he had the nerve to ask if I knew how to work the air my car I've had for 10 years. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. I would give no stars if that was an option.

Worst experience of my life! Just got my car towed from Chucks to the dealership after it sitting there for 2 weeks. Was told that the problem was the antitheft and he would work on it and bypass it. I called everyday to check on the status and got 3 different stories. Not once did he call me with a status or update. The last time I called him he informed me that he would have to look at it to find out the problem so basically let it sit there for 2 weeks and didn't do anything with it!! I came out of pocket for $700 worth of rental car fees and I can't get my car fixed I'll lose my job. Once I got my car keys the inside of my car was trashed with biscuit wrappers and stunk like cigarette smoke. No sense of urgency, bad customer service, and charged me labor for basically eating breakfast in my car. Do not take your car to Chucks!!!!!

I have used this place over 4 times. I would rate all 4 times with a 5 star. Chuck is very easy to talk to about car issues. Depending on your desire he will keep the explanation quick or in depth. Recently my 4Runner had cooling issues. A week after it was fixed it started having issues again, no additional cost was charged to fix this issue. 4Runner is running like a dream now.

Met Chuck in Auto Zone when my daughters battery had died. He took the time to do the research and tell us which one she needed. Then we went to his shop and he installed it making sure not to reset the computer. He even hooked it up to check the computer system. Thank you Chuck for your kindness.

Chuck and his staff have serviced my car 3 times in the last 5-6 years. Once for a fouled spark plug at 90,000 miles. They did a complete tune up. The second time was for a melted spark plug wire at 174,000 miles. They offered to replace the wire, but recommended another tune up. I did the latter considering the mileage. The third time was to fix a leaky oil pan. They did a good job on all three. Yes, the place looks like a junkyard, and they don't have a spit and polish customer area. 1 star off for that. However, I will continue to have my car serviced there. Chuck, his wife, and the staff were courteous all 3 times.

We have been using Chuck since 2011! Anytime we go somewhere else we just end up regretting it and coming to him to fix what they half way did. I have definitely recommended him time and time again to friends of family and very proud to. He is fair and just. He works with you and explains anything he has done.

Chuck is the go to for any automotive issues.. If I have a major problem, or just questions, he's always dependable and honest. Iv been taking my vehicles to chuck for years. He's worked on at least 5 vehicles for my husband and I. He gives me honest advice on repairs and pricing....and has even corrected mistakes that other repair shops overcharged me for.

Chuck's auto repair is outstanding!!! Best vehicle service I have ever had. Chuck was the only repair shop who did not try to over charge me for a minor repair on my 2014 BMW X5. He was honest and straight forward in his diagnosis of my problem and gave me a very fair quote. He completed the job just as he said he would and did it in less time then I thought it would take. I highly recommend Chucks to anyone who wants a fair and honest repair of their vehicles. Him and his wife were courteous and professional. He has earned my business and my trust.

I brought my car to Chuck’s Automotive in Feb of 2023. I received and towed my car back to my property on 4/8/24. I brought my car to him 14 months ago with an idling issue in hopes that he could get the car running normally—the idle was sporadic and would eventually die. Over these 14 months, Chuck, the owner and mechanic of this shop, contacted me rarely with updates. I would contact him probably 9/10 times we spoke to see what was going on with my vehicle. Every week or two it was the same story of “We are so busy I will be getting around to it soon”, “I lost someone I recently hired”, “It’s raining this weekend, we will get to it soon”, “I’m working on installing this item (said the past four times I checked in)”, etc. Over this time period he adjusted the timing chain of my car’s engine, recoated my fuel tank, and put a new fuel pump in. I looked up how many hours of labor this would take for the average mechanic and it came to around 31hrs. Let’s be generous and double this time to 62hrs. If he were so busy that he had to spread 62hrs of work over 14 months, he should not have taken on my project. As the customer, I very much felt in a bind because my car’s engine or fuel system was torn apart and to have it towed to another mechanic to pick up the pieces would very inconvenient and probably cost me more. On top of this, every time I would call he made it seem as if the car was going to be ready in just a weekend or two. He at no point gave me an indication that it would take 14 months for him to finish. He said before I brought the car to him that he was an expert for the particular make/model of car I had, and when I picked up the car he said my car was in “race mode” and he didn’t know how to work with that. If he had told me from the beginning that my car was in “race mode”, I would have taken it somewhere else. I paid car insurance, taxes, etc. on the car over this time because I was being made to think it would be ready very soon. He also stated he didn’t test drive my car to see if it was running properly. I had also noticed some damage to my car and before I picked it up brought this and the fact that if my car were not running properly, I would not want to pay in full over phone. He became very irate with me over the phone and stated he was not responsible for any damage to my car because it was parked outside (in his lot). He was not to be reasoned with or challenged. I feared for the safety of my property (as he stated it was not his responsibility) and myself, and therefore paid in the hope that I could settle this elsewhere. This whole situation has been a very big waste of time and money as when I got the car home the idle was unchanged, and I would never consider bringing it back to him. Most recently, I did have the car repaired and the mechanic provided information on his invoice stating that the timing was off (which Chuck supposedly fixed), my new fuel pump was installed incorrectly and not the model/type appropriate for my engine, and I had a leaky fuel injector which had filled my cars engine to the top with oil/fuel mixture. He was not able to spot a leaky fuel injector having replaced all other parts of the fuel system essentially. I have been treated very poorly by this business owner who did not help at all what I brought my property to him to fix.

I suffered an accident 5 minutes away from this place with a fallen branch destroying my windshield. This place was the closest where I took the car. Chuck really tried to get me the best price even with trying to hunt down used spares without asking if I have the budget for OEM which we end up putting in. He took a great care in replacing my windshield and cleaning up all the glass debris. I received a great service with a great price in a timely manner. I am very satisfied.

We have used Chuck's for years. He has been able to affect repairs that other shops said "couldn't" be done. He may not be the fastest, but at his prices and trustworthiness, it is worth the wait.
