I was involved in helping my sister resolve a serious issue after she had her brakes serviced here. Within just a few days of spending over $1,000, a caliper bolt came loose while she was driving around 25 miles per hour. The car made a loud noise like it completely fell apart. It had to be towed to a Hyundai dealership, where they confirmed the bolt had not been properly installed. Thankfully she was only going 25 miles per hour because who knows what could have happened if this occurred on the highway. It could have ended very differently. This was a serious safety risk. The shop did apologize and acknowledge the mistake, and they refunded the cost of the tow, the replacement bolt, and a small portion of the original brake service. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I appreciate that they reimbursed some of the cost, but people deserve to know what happened. If you read through other negative reviews, you will see this is not the first time concerns have come up about work not being done properly.

Friendly staff, customer service great, it's the little things to me such as printing out images showing what was done, eg. Dirty engine filter. A complementary ride back home, while having my vehicle worked on. And if interested, they give you a breakdown of maintenance that we'll be required on your vehicle sometime in the future. The issue I was having has been resolved. Thank you to the technicians as well. And the office personnels took the time to go into detail when I had questions.

A while ago we used to bring our cars to Clarke Automotive for basic upkeep. We were VERY satisfied. Then we both purchased newer cars, and fell into the “dealership knows my car better” mindset. Well, you cannot be more wrong!!! The dealership is not out to help the car owners. They are out to prey on the patronage. They say you “desperately” need one service or another. Then when service is complete, it’s with sub-par products at twice the cost. Yes, I should have already realized this as an adult. Finding an automotive group worth trusting and not feeding you BS is difficult. Clarke is that group! I trust them with honesty and direct communication. I brought my car in to have it looked at. I know service for several things will be due soon. But, like most people, I try to save money where I can as funds are tight. I continue to bring my car to Costco for tire rotations. Why? They are free? What’s wrong with that? Nothing really, but no one strongly trained is looking at the other portions of my car that might need service soon so I can appropriately budget. Took my car to the dealership for oil changes because they offered a “special.” What did I get? Hounding to buy a newer car, sell back my older car. Hounding for additional services (that I didn’t really need!). Informed things were severely broken on my car (to the tune of $5,000) that were not really broken! How did I find out about the last one? After practically having a coronary at the dealership and asking for my “broken” car back, I made a call to Clarke to reinspect it, giving the information the dealership gave. Clarke gave peace of mind. They identified what was deemed “broken” but also said it’s not in need of repair. It’s not the “death” of my car- or pocketbook. I have severe anxiety about bringing my car into locations as I fear the knee jerk reaction that costs will make my already strained pocketbook disintegrate. Clarke is honest! They will tell you exactly what you need. The costs associated, and honestly tell you if you can safely wait on a service! The staff is friendly, and I do not get those slimy feelings from the staff that they are trying to rip you off. I feel they are just trying to be totally honest. My husband’s old truck had quite a few issues. Did they have to “chase” the repairs? Yes! You fix one thing, then another pops up. Or, the issue could be “this or that.” They were honest while chasing the issues. Did it get fully fixed? Yes! You know what else they tell you? If your car can be considered a lemon. Guess what? It was and we were compensated under lemon law. If you want to know what cars are generally good- go talk to them! They will tell you the troublemakers from the A listers. I trust this group implicitly. The recent service was to have my car evaluated for brakes as I heard squeaking during breaking. I was concerned the cost of brakes (again, practically no money exists in my account). What did I find out? I’m perfectly fine and the dealership placed sub-par pads on my car! Shitty product from the dealership was sending my ears, then anxiety through the roof. But, there is no issue! Yay! At the same time, they did let me know that I would be due for a few services soon, that could be broken up to several events to have these things addressed. Guess what? I’ll be doing these things as service is cheaper than a new car! Thank you Clarke Automotive!

One of my staff's car left her stranded. I searched Google for a well reviewed repair shop and chose Clarke Automotive and couldn't be more satisfied, Billiejo is beyond helpful and gave me a tow service that brought car to them, the cost was added to their bill. They diagnosed and repaired and did it without swapping out unnecessary parts. They kept me informed every step of the way. In the end it was just severely corroded threads on a side mounted battery terminal that advanced auto parts reused when changing the battery ( the wrong battery for car ) and then sent this woman on her way only to get stranded at night. My wife and I have been coming to Clarke’s for years and we haven’t ever been let down. I went to Clarke’s because I know I can trust them. I called and spoke with Billie Jo and she saved me quite a lot of money. I had gotten my battery tested at an auto retail store, where the associate diagnosed something was wrong with the alternator. I went in looking for an alternator, which would have cost me about $600 for a remanufactured one OR about $2k for a new one…welp glad Billie Jo recommended I get a diagnostic test done with Clarke’s just to double check. Cause it wasn’t the alternator after all! The culprit was the battery, and luckily I had that under warranty with Clarke’s. They also took care of my tires since it was about time. Again, I had it under warranty, so they saved me a lot of money. Grateful for the team at Clarke’s. I’ll be back later.

i went here about a year ago i was pregnant and my car wasn’t accelerating and i expressed to them that i need my car to be able to give my kids transportation. Anyways i asked them to do a diagnostic and to help me figure out the problem long story short they claimed they didn’t know the problem and then charged me 800+ for “cleaning my engine”. i took it to a shop that my people knew and they told me i needed a new transmission. any “good mechanic” would’ve been able to figure that out!! i wouldn’t recommend going here they only got serious when i sent my kids father & my dad up there.

My experience with Clarke automotive systems started at the bank when I had a flat tire , and A gentleman By the name of David Who is employed with Clarke Automotive Systems, was walking out of the bank and was Approached by me . I Informed him that I had a flat tire and without any hesitation. He came over and remove the flat tire and put the spare one on. He then proceeded to take it a step further and check to see if there was any availability for me to get my actual tire fixed . Mind you it was right before closing Time. He said the owner Bob , He said Yes !! I followed him to his place of employment location and He Fix the tire for me himself, put my spare back in my trunk and walked me To my car . He ended this Amazing experience by taking the time to pray for me . Wow !!! I can't express to You , how grateful I was for David 's helping hands and kind words. What. A blessing David is to this company!!! The Professionalism and excellence was Top notch from David , to The owner Bob, and the pleasant Ladies in office definitely Five. Stars all the way around. A battery they installed 1 1/2 ago went bad, the AC Delhi batteries they install have great warranty and they replaced battery at no cost including labor. This was our second repair with Clarke where the tacked down and repaired a battery draw. My local garage didn’t do this type of work and recommended Clarke. First and foremost, I want to thank Clark Automotive for their honesty and professionalism it’s rare these days. Heres a quick story about honesty…If you’re like me, you probably assume every auto shop is out to scam you. I took my car to two different places before coming to Clark, and both told me I needed an alternator. Needless to say, I was mad Halloween-mask-not-needed mad!!! I called Clark Automotive and spoke with Matt, who gave me a fair quote for the repair (about the same as other shops). When I arrived, Billy Jo greeted me with the same professionalism. After the actual mechanics at Clark examined my vehicle, they discovered the issue wasn’t the alternator at all just the battery. The fix ended up costing less than half of what I expected. They could’ve easily charged me for a repair I didn’t need, and I would’ve never known but they didn’t. Instead, they were upfront, honest, and even pointed out a few other things that should be looked at later. If you want a shop that values integrity over profit, Clark Automotive is the place to go. I’ll definitely be a returning customer!

I was simply amazed that they were able to help me with an urgent issue, not only same day, but within an hour of calling them. I was moving to Atlanta literally the next day, and the team at Clark resolved a suspension problem that would have otherwise ruined my moving plans. From front desk to mechanics/ tech . This place has been a great help . I had taken my car to another shop and who recommended me to go here . I was hesitant only because i figured i would be paying so much more to fix the car i just bought. . I went to a bush mechanic first to get there opinion (who told me something different) but something in me kept telling me to see what this shop would say and let’s just say I’m glad had that gut feeling . Billie Jo was very informative at the front desk and I’m sure I called her back a few times to ask silly questions. I ended up needing to replace my fuel pump, O2 sensor , tire rod and wheel alignment , compared to the bush mechanic who said it was just the starter (yeah right ). I was worried about of cost but once we narrowed down what was most important i ended up paying $1500 . My car definitely 100% better than when i bought it . Thank you guys so much

Brought my vehicle in for a clutch change. They did a fantastic job. They were quick in changing out the part. Ray was great at explaining things to me and not talking down to me. He and Matt answered all my questions respectfully. Ray allowed me to take photos of the old parts. Matt was great at sussing out the lose exhaust and fixed it under the warranty they gave me with the clutch. Front office staff was kind and respectful during the entire process. When shopping around for quotes this was the only shop that asked for my VIN, so I knew they would be getting the exact part I needed. Their quote was reasonable for the job and much more specific than others, so no hidden/unknown fees. And no ball park estimates! I would count them among the few repair shops I trust. I will bring my vehicle here again when it needs something else I can't do on my own.

First communication, detailed estimate and great price, honesty and genuine is a plus for me. Becky is great very informative. My son’s vehicle had an issue with the crank shaft and bad oil leaking from that seal. We looked all night for mechanics and shops. we found Clark automotive and just felt to go with them based on the reviews. We made a great choice, they took my son’s car immediately and estimate was quick.. considering all the other issues the car had that we had paid for to be resolved in the past obviously wasn’t done by our previous mechanic. Clark automotive fixed and the price was affordable. They said they said the car would be ready by a certain day and it was ready earlier which was great because my son uses that car for work. Let me say the car drives way better. If your looking and can’t seem find anyone these are your guys!! Definitely will continue to do business with them. Thank you so much !!!
