Reliable auto service, been operating for 30 years. Steve's one of the front desk guys, friendly and knowledgeable. These guys are honest and it's what keeps them busy. No appointments. First come first serve. They open at 8 and basically are full up with work before 11, sometimes 10. And they'll call you with a quote before having to go into the labor. I live in Detroit, but I drive up to Sterling Heights here for any auto work. 5/5

Haven’t been here in over 10 years with older vehicles in the past when the father-in-law still ran the place. Just went here to get an exhaust leak on my 2010 limited Taurus fixed. I told Gus I’d like the least expensive repair as we are trading vehicle in to a dealer come summer 2021. They said it’d be a day before they could look at it, sure no problem. As promised they called early afternoon the next day which happened to be a Friday and said it would be only $200 but couldn’t get it done til Monday. I said ok with the price and asked if there was anyway it could be done today I’d be grateful. With an hour to spare before they closed Gus called and said vehicle was ready. Needless to say we were there within 5 minutes paid the fee and drove away with a nice quiet car. Thank you so much Gus and Classic Automotive Repair!

These guys are honestly the best. I live around mid-Michigan, but I will be sure to bring my car here for any technical issues. They provide excellent customer service at an affordable price. A big-chain company installed some parts in my car incorrectly, causing transmission damage, and ultimately making my car a death-trap. I was able to get my car into Classic Automotive Repair, and they fixed the issue no problem in a timely manner. I'm honestly so grateful for them, and look forward to working with them in the future. Keep up the awesome work!

This place is awesome. They are honest and have a fair price. The main thing I was worried about was being a single female taking in a car and being mislead or lied to but that was definitely not the case here. They are busy but they got my breaks done very fast.

Great customer service call me the parts that were definitely needed and gave me the option for the rest which I went for. There was a lot of rotted parts underneath for 20 year old Trailblazer Good Old mission roads they took the time their expertise and did a first class job and reasonable. Drives like a new car except $50,000+ cheaper.. thanks for everybody that worked on my car you did a great job

I've been going Auto Medics on Auburn Road for years, and lately they become rip offs in price. They wanted $270 for radiator flush and I had one done at classic automotive for 100. Classic automotive is clean professional and fast. I can't say enough good things about them and they've been in business for over 30 years, taking all my cars to them in the future for my business because they're honest and they don't try to scalp you in the price .

When the reviews say that these guys are honest, it is truly an understatement. I was referred here by my coworkers for my engine issue. I drop my car off and speak with the guys about the possible problem. I tell them that depending on the price for the engine repair, I may want them to take care of my brakes too while they have the car. Steve calls me to tell the issue with the engine and the cost. He then tells me that I don't need to get my brakes done right away as they were still good and would last me for a while. They could have easily told me different and charged me for the brakes. They are awesome, kind, fair and honest. They have a customer for life. :-)

I heard about this place through my Dad who was a mechanic in the Army back in his day, so if he recommended this place, I knew it was the place to go. Any issues I’ve EVER had with my car I’ve always come here and they’ve always been extremely helpful, educated and most importantly, FAIR. Most auto shops will try to drain you for every penny. Classic Automotive Repair will make any suggestions or recommendations needed, but will be up front and honest about if it’s something that can wait or if it’s serious and needs to be addressed asap. I’ve referred everyone I know to them and they’ve all had excellent experiences as well. They absolutely have a lifelong (or at the very least car owner long) customer in me! This team of kind and respectful people are the reason I drive out of my way to have my car repaired. Their prices are very reasonable, their work is always thorough and complete. I had an issue with my brakes after they had already repaired them, and they fixed it. Pre pandemic they almost always had our vehicles done before expected. I will never bring any of my vehicles anywhere else. As a young (and nieve) woman it becomes difficult to find a reliable shop that doesn't try to rip you off. These guys don't. I’m not any mechanic, not even close to that… For the guy who used to work with such “complicated” issues like grammar or literature, all technical problems and auto technology sound like a “cosmic” mistery… And suddenly comes the moment that you have to get someone, who will resolve a mechanical problem with your car… If you run into bad people and they recognize your ignorance, they will feel free to manipulate you and cheat on you (such common these days)! Then the most important thing is to find someone trustworthy and honest, someone who will do it for you the same way - no difference - the big genius or ignorant you are… And I found such place!
