I have visited many mechanics in my life. I was able to do a lot of work on my own vehicle, but there's always that job that is very humbling. Taking my vehicles to Colchin over the years has been one of the best things I've ever done. The entire staff makes you feel like you're part of one big family. No matter who you get on the phone, you are always made to feel like their number one customer. Every time I recommend someone go to the shop I always tell them to ask to get a tour of the service bays. These folks maintain an immaculate working environment. I don't think one ever has to worry about the inside of their vehicle being ruined by someone walking through a puddle of oil. I have had my vehicles at their facility for many different things. Some items were major and some items turned out to be super simple. On those simple items, I expected to be charged a lot and multiple times was very surprised to find they didn't charge me what I thought they could have or even should have. In fact, I had a situation come up recently that was a bit of an emergency. I had a small window to sell my vehicle and a warning light showed up right before. I called them, somewhat frantically, and they offered to help me first thing the very next morning. They looked over the vehicle found a simple issue that caused the light to come on, cleared it, tested it, and sent me on my way. When I called back later to settle up and pay for what I thought was going to be an hour of troubleshooting, they let me know that they appreciated the service that I had provided them over the years and thanked me for bringing my vehicle in. I just can't get over Josh, John, Colin, and all of the other associates who work here. You can't go wrong by bringing your vehicle to these people.

I had Colchin Automotive do a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle I considered buying, and I was very impressed by their quality of service throughout my entire experience. They worked me into the schedule last minute, were very upfront about the inspection, and I got to spend some time afterwards talking to Colin, one of their mechanics. He gave me some great advice about Lexus/Landcruisers and pointed me in the right direction. When I do buy a vehicle, I’ll be coming back!

Colchin Auto exceeded all our expectations. They came under quote somehow on a complicated repair on my Audi Q5, it runs beautifully and Jason even noticed my visor was broken and floppy, so he grabbed an extra part he had and just fixed it for me. :) I was SO happy! That visor was driving me nuts- it’s the little stuff! The Audi repairs went so well we brought in my boyfriend’s Ridgeline and same thing- excellent service, runs great and he got it back on time as promised. We are so grateful for how knowledgeable they are and their quality repairs- they really take the time to explain what’s going on with the vehicle and why each repair is necessary. I absolutely recommend Colchin Auto!!

Colchin Automotive is next door to my gym, so I decided to give them a try for an oil change during my workout. Before this, I had stopped by for auto advice on several occasions prior over the past year and a half, and they willingly provided information for free (I even tried to throw the dude some cash for his time) even though no service was performed, and he wouldn’t accept but seemed happy to help. They have truly always been a delight in any dealings. Their employees are tenured and it feels like really care about providing an enjoyable and productive experience. Took my car there upon my dads request for years. Not once do I think they were honest with me, 4 starters in as many years? I think you'd be better off taking your car to the dealership, what i plan to do from here on out. MAYBE trust these guys with an oil change, but anything beyond that they're gonna scam you! Avoid this place at all costs tbh

Went to Colchin after a horrible experience with another mechanic over a Prius battery. My friend heard me complaining about the horrible experience I was having with an awful mechanic, and she suggested Colchin's since they did a good job working on her Prius. At one point the previous mechanic claimed that our ABS control board was bad and needed to be replaced for $2300. We refused to let them touch the car further and brought it to Colchin for a second opinion. Colchin found air in the brake line and blew it out for $300. They also helped track down the error codes our car kept getting after the going to the previous bad mechanic. It was mostly error codes proving that the installed battery was bad and needed to be replaced, so they helped us prove to our bad mechanic that the battery needed a warranty replacement when he wanted to charge us more to replace sensors and control boards instead of the bad battery. Without Colchin, I might have believed the previous mechanic's lies and spent thousands chasing down a non-existant problem. Colchin was usually able to fit us in their schedule within a few days, and always kept in communication with me, letting me know what they found or if they needed more time. They were easy to contact, kept clear lines of communication, were respectful with both me and my husband, were honest about what they found or didn't find, and were overall a pleasure to work with. They are our new trusted mechanic that will be our first choice for our problems with our cars in the future.

I love coming to these guys. They always explain everything and will work with you at your price point to prioritize work in a way that works with you budget. In a day and age where everyone seems to be price gauging they remain honest and up front. All the people I have interacted with are incredibly kind, knowledgeable and eager to help you understand what your car needs without trying to upsell you (unlike every dealer). If anything they actually undersell (I think that's a thing). I had some heavy work done and was expecting a significant tag and it was $300 less than they quoted me. They could have charged me anyways and they didn't! That speaks to their integrity. I also want to highlight the super high quality work; I never doubt that have done what they say they are going to do or have to bring it back within a few weeks because my issue wasn't resolved. I want to highly recommend them.

Prices are quite reasonable and are always on point with the quote. Jason calls to update work status so there are never any wait and wonder periods- which I appreciate.
