I like this shop. They do good work and don't try to push stuff on you that you don't need. It's always busy and that might bum you out, but in my mind, that is a sign of a good repair shop. People go here! So chill out. Take a breath, they know that you are tense and freaked out. Your car is broken! Relax, they will fix it.

I’m from out of town and had an issue where my car put me in “limp” mode. Not only did the technician explain to me what was going on but they took time out of their busy schedule to assist me. I am extremely grateful and they didn’t try to give me the “woman’s” special where they try to get money out of me. Would definitely give 10/10 if I could.

Great service (and fast)! Called on a Monday afternoon, dropped my car off at 7:30am on Tuesday morning, and picked it up by 3:45pm same day with the problem solved. Very fair price for the work done. This was my first car issue since moving to the STL area and I’ll definitely be coming back to this shop for all my future repairs

THANK YOU Columbia Auto Repair for a fast emissions test so I could renew my plates. I called ALL AROUND TOWN and no one could fit me in unless I dropped off in the morning... certainly makes things difficult if you need your vehicle to get to work! Special shout out to Brad who helped me out and let me bring my vehicle in on my way home from work to better accommodate my schedule. I wish I had found this spot sooner. Highly recommend!

My car broke down Friday night during rush hour on the side of Kingshighway after hitting a pot hole. I was able to get my car towed to Columbia Auto by AAA and they got me in right away to determine how bad the damage was. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue, give me an estimate and said the repairs would be completed by Monday afternoon. I got home barely late for dinner and first thing Monday morning they called to say the car was ready to be picked up and they charged me less than the estimate. Fantastic experience, will be taking all of my vehicles there in the future.

I have lived in South City for five years and am so glad I found this local repair shop. Over the past eight months, I’ve had several repairs done, and their communication has always been excellent. They clearly explain the necessary repairs and provide estimated costs before proceeding. A bonus is that they’re within walking distance from my house, making drop-off and pick-up very convenient. Recently, I ordered a new vehicle that won’t arrive for several months. When I mentioned this to Joe, he offered to complete only the crucial repairs, knowing I’ll be getting rid of my current car soon. This saved me money and really showed that they prioritize their customers’ best interests—a rare quality in many automotive shops. I highly recommend this place!

Last week, I found my 2020 Jeep unexpectedly malfunctioning and had to use my Triple A Service and this was one of the first car repair shops that was close to the area. I have had several cars to Columbia Auto repair several times. Several of those cases were for trouble areas i think are more complex than average to diagnose and to repair. Over the course of near a dozen repairs they've done, I've always been happily surprised at how reasonable the repair costs were ... less than i expected based on my experience with other repair shops. On two of those repairs, i had to take the vehicle back because of failed parts. They took it back in right away and fixed it quickly at no additional costs to me. They stand behind their work.
