This business was affordable and have the best staff. I am a single mother with 3 kids. I had no choice but to bring my kids in while I was getting my car fixed. The staff was understanding, kind, and generous. They helped me at one of the worst times in my life. Their rates were more then fair and they fixed my car for me and my young kids. I will forever be grateful to them!

I've been to this place a handful of times over the last couple years. At first I thought it was great, until I started working on my vehicles myself while taking them in for more complex issues. The shop people are always kind and looking to help, at least it appears so. However, upon simple tasks, major mistakes were made. After changing the lower control arms on my car, I brought it in for an alignment only to find the CV boot ripped next time I was underneath. The owner fussed, but he fixed it (its a 60$ part, not about the money, but the principal). Shortly after I began to notice a bumpiness, a wobble, in the drivers side. I took it in 3 separate times asking them to inspect it as I didn't have time. They claimed on every occasion the vehicle was inspected and was safe to drive. MONTHS later I ordered the parts to complete my suspension and lift the vehicle, and while I'm underneath I go to personally torque the components and the caster bolt in the driver side lower control arm is not only loose, but is cross threaded and stripped out. The shop had knowingly let me drive on a damaged caster bolt and knowingly stripped the bolt, and knowingly did not make it right. There is absolutely no excuse for this when the vehicle has been taken in 3 times and you claim to have inspected it! In the SAME span I had the shop drain and fill my coolant. Very simple. Charged me a hundred and then some! I open the hood a week later and the coolant reservoir is empty, not a single drop of coolant. There has been a handful of questionable things at Community Auto as well. Having my wife's AC fixed and DAYS after getting the vehicle back the blower motor goes out. Brought my wife's vehicle in after a low oil pressure light came on. They claim they fixed it and inspected it and it was good to go! Two days later the vehicle is on the side of the road with a cylinder misfire. Just too many coincidences if you ask me! The shop owner not only refused to speak to me on the phone during the time of handling these situations, he refused to come out in the shop and talk to me when I came to pick up the vehicle (and take it somewhere reliable for work). He did pay me 150$ back after being threatened to be taken to court, in which he had a new employee handle, so like I said, the staff are cool people, but the work is lackluster.

The entire crew at Community Auto were fantastic. They saved me a couple hundred dollars over a dealer quote and did great work. We will be coming back here for our service needs. Thanks for fitting us in so quickly.

There was a cost mistake, I had been overcharged, but they reached back out months later and fixed the error! That made me so happy. Thank you, community auto, I am very impressed with your dedication to customer service.

I was charged $828 for one ABS wheel speed sensor replacement. The sensor itself is a $30 part (I later bought the exact same one myself online), but they billed me $148 for it. On top of that, they claimed my $400 “diagnostic fee” would roll into the repair — instead, they padded nearly $270 in labor for a job that takes under an hour. They also quoted me $600+ for a blower motor and $400+ for a window switch, both of which I bought myself for under $100 total and could do myself under an hour. This shop hides labor charges in “diagnostics” and upsells simple repairs at outrageous markups. I expected to pay ~$500 max — not $828 for one sensor. Be very cautious if you bring your car here. Bring your own parts or get a second opinion, because they will try to upsell you heavily

This is my first and only experience with Community Auto following the recommendation of a driver/technician with an auto service (3 guesses all start with "A"). I'm moving to the Phoenix area and wanted to make sure that my two cars were ready for the drastic change in environment. I realistically never expect the "cheapest" service, but want straight diagnoses and attention to my concerns. Community Auto succeeded in this effort. They made suggestions of services to perform but never pressured me to have them done (other than critical issues). They were fair in their observations and were happy to tell me that some items weren't critical but would need attention at a future date. I am so happy I went here and only regret that they don't have a presence where I am moving . . . the search for another reputable, capable and caring auto repair facility awaits . . . wish me luck.

Really disappointed in this shop since they were highly recommended to me. I was given a quote or $255 for a diagnostic of my hvac. I agreed to the price and signed the quote. After the fact, the shop tried to turn around and say it was the wrong price and that it was actually $467, almost double. I was informed that the repair order I signed beforehand was legally binding and the shop disputed that. Whatever, don’t want a shop to be disgruntled and messing around with my car and damage it on purpose. The right thing to do is honor your word. You gave me a price, we both agreed on it. I was given the following advice: If the shop tries to charge more than the signed quote without your approval, you can file a complaint with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) or the Office of the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Section. You may also pursue resolution through small claims court if the dispute involves a significant amount. Bottom line, if you’re looking for an honest shop, look elsewhere. They’ll bait and switch you like they did to me.

From Oklahoma City, OK. We broke down in Fort Collins, CO at our hotel. We had to get towed by AAA and these awesome people got us in and done on the very same day. Service Tech was very honest and told us exactly what was wrong and even gave us a better rate than originally quoted. Highly recommend this place 100%. Outstanding job!

We have used community auto a number of times and they are ALWAYS honest and very fairly priced. I would highly recommend them to everyone. It’s so refreshing to be able to take my vehicle in and not feel like I’m getting taken advantage of.

This place is absolutely the best! I moved to Fort Collins 1-1/2 yrs ago and was so lucky to find this garage for all my car service needs! Friendly efficient staff, top-notch mechanics, easy in and out and fast service! Family-owned biz with honest people who give a detailed estimate and detailed report of service that tells you what was done, what should be done soon and what they'll keep an eye on for the future. Great pricing. I've been ripped off by service garages in the past elsewhere ~ this place can be trusted! Bring your car here and you'll never be disappointed!

I’ve been bringing my vehicle to Community Auto for over eight years, but unfortunately, my most recent experience did not reflect the quality and trust I once valued. I had to bring my vehicle in three separate times, and none of those visits resolved the issue. After more than $7,000 in repairs — some of which did address other problems — the main issue turned out to be the differential. I mentioned this concern twice when I dropped off my vehicle, but it was dismissed, until I pushed and a master tech drove with me and immediately confirmed this. Community Auto replaced the differential less than four years ago, and with under 30,000 miles on it, the repair should have been covered under warranty. However, I was told it was not. After seeking a second opinion elsewhere, I was informed that the previous differential work had been done poorly. Sadly, after many years of being a loyal customer, I can no longer recommend or continue to support this business.

They are great people that you can trust with your car. After having multiple problems with our former mechanic, we went to them for help fixing our cars. Not only have they walked us through the exact problems with our cars (along with how to fix them), they have saved us a ton of money due to the care and effort they put into repairing our vehicles. Special thanks to Justin for walking me through how he fixed my window, but also to Maria for being friendly and authentic when taking care of my vehicle. They even saved us a couple hundred dollars this time around. As I said at the top of this review, they are great people you can trust with your car.

One of my employees had taken my work truck to another mechanic while I was out of town and got an estimate on getting it in perfect running condition for a trip. I’m about to make. When I returned, I took my truck and trailer to community auto. They told me that none of the things from the previous assessment needed to be done and were able to fix both the trailer and the truck for $2000 less than the original estimate. Community auto is the best. Most professional nicest people to work with out of any mechanics I’ve ever encountered..

Excellent auto repair!!! I have brought my car to Community and my son's car. My son needed extensive work and they charged WAY less than the dealership quote, got all work done in one day, and his car is perfect now. After my son's wicked awesome experience, I brought my car for a minor repair. Fixed in 2 hours and under $100. Great work, honest, and friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend! 😊

After a scary slide off of the interstate, Justin expertly navigated with us the repairs and maintenance needed to restore the beloved Honda accord left to our teen when grandpa passed. The work was done in a timely manner and came in under budget. Justin's calm demeanor and willingness to educate with kindness is deeply appreciated. We have used Community Auto for years and are grateful for their service.
