Took Lexus to Tom for a/c repair. Called on Tuesday and first appointment for a/c was Friday. The last shop that looked at a/c recharged with dye to detect leaks. Craig said they could find the leak using the dye already in the system and repair the leak. So took car on Friday and Tom says he will call by noon with an estimate. No call from them at all. I call at 4:00 Friday to hopefully get car back for the weekend. The shop said they are working on it now. I get a call at 5:30 telling me which parts need repair and it cannot be repaired until next week. I rush to get car before 6:00. I tell Tom I have waited since Tuesday to get this fixed with a promised a/c appointment on Friday and now I am stuck with no a/c for another several days. Tom says he has a problem with employees and gives me a bill for their time and putting in more freon. Tom looked at me like I was crazy for being upset and expected to be paid. The place cannot deliver on promises and clearly doesn't care about keeping customers. I guess it's my fault for not learning from the first time I went to this shop. The first visit was routine maintenance with a $400 estimate. I showed up and the bill was $700 and no one could explain why. I hoped to make this a regular shop for all our cars but this is obviously a place that can't deliver on promises and will take as much money from customers as possible. Save yourself money and headach and find somewhere else.

The bad reviews of people talking about Tom. I believe it is... It's true... Took my 1986 Toyota 4Runner last year rough idol with blinking check engine light.. Told me it needed a computer. Put computer in... light Still blinking and rough idle. Charge me over $200. Told me before I left four cylinders. Supposed to shake around at idle like that!

I cannot begin to express how amazing my recent experience was with Craig's shop. I live very close to his shop and decided to bring my car in for a second opinion after some questionable information from the Rick Hendricks Toyota of Sandy Springs. I have a Lexus Rx 400h that I have serviced with Rick Hendricks for several months and in that time frame they bilked me out of thousands of dollars for the cost of a new water pump, new timing belt (ahead of replacement schedule), and a new radiator on a car with less than 90k miles. When I took my car back in for my 90k mile service, which I expected to be significantly lower due to the previous investment, I was told that now I need a new oil pan and another $800 investment. I called Craig's shop due to the numerous good reviews to have him take a look. Imagine my surprise, when I found out there was nothing wrong with my car! Craig took the time to squeeze me into his busy schedule to ensure my car was safe to drive. He even assessed my vehicle for FREE and I was a new customer straight off the street. He took the time to explain to me what the true situation was with my car....it turned out to be that during my oil changes the Rick Hendricks shop didn't do the clean-up required of the oil pan which is what lead them to assume there was a seal rupture. When I left and shook his hand for all his help, I told him he had a customer for life! I meant it and if you have a Toyota or Lexus and live in Atlanta, this is the only shop you should visit. He's fair, helpful, and doesn't take advantage of his customers.

I don’t take my family’s Toyota’s anywhere else. Been going there for the last 15 years. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very fair prices and fixed right the first time. The owner and his 2 employees are the best in town for Lexus and Toyota repair. From oil changes to motor overhauls, everything but bodywork.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Tom did a pre-purchase on our family's 2008 Lexus RX350 back when we purchased it used in 2010 with 25,000 miles. Since then, he has done a variety of normal maintenance repairs including oil changes, brakes, new struts front and rear, spark plugs, radiator fluid, transmission fluid, serpentine belt, air filters...you name it! Always gets you in as soon as he can, has job done in time he says it will take, and always does GREAT work. I'm convinced he knows Toyota and Lexus cars better than the dealerships and will always treat his customers well! Our family car is about to hit 181,000 miles and I know it will keep going with his unmatched service!

A little different from all the other reviews, but I just bought a 1997 Lexus LS400 from the owner, Tom, who had the car listed for sale. It was as described and well serviced since the mid 2000s from the shop. Communication and negotiation was timely and fair. I’m in the auto industry and you see a lot of these guys are burnt out, jaded, and just overall bitter about automobiles. I get it. It’s a thought industry. However, talking to the owner, he was enthusiastic and still had a jovial air of happiness about him when talking to him about Toyotas, Lexus, and even classic Mercedes. These guys care. The shop was clean and orderly as well and they knew their stuff when I had somewhat esoteric questions about my new LS400. These guys are the real deal. You want someone who loves the brand working on your Toyota. Bring your cars here!

I don’t own a Lexus or Toyota, but my Honda Civic had a flat (more like destroyed) right front tire right at this business’s driveway. I limped into the parking lot, and was told they don’t do tires there. A very nice young man who worked there (wish I had gotten his name for this) said he would be glad to put air in it to get me moving. I was 5 minutes away from my dr’s office where I was heading. When I first got out of the car and looked at the tire, it just looked flat. When he and I went back to it, the rubber was twisted and smelled like burning rubber. I have no clue what I did to cause it! Of course air would never help THAT! So he kindly put my spare on for me, and recommended a tire place nearby to get a new tire. I offered to pay but he wouldn’t accept one cent. I was very upset about the situation and missing my dr appt, but I’m so very thankful for what was done to help me. I highly recommend this business!

KUDOS---I just had a fantastic car repair experience! I heard great things about Craig Automotive and took a chance on them after my mechanic retired and sold his business. Based on my experience today, now I KNOW they are awesome! If you own a Lexus or Toyota, Craig Automotive in Marietta is the place to go! When I was getting ready to pay, the couple behind me told me they've been taking their cars to Tom Craig for close to 15 years. Tom treated me so well, and the cost was no where near what a dealer would have charged. When I left, it was like I was driving a new car---my Lexus ran better than ever! (New alternator) Please give them your business---great, honest people! I'm happy I found a mechanic I can trust again!

We bought our 2006, 200k mile Sequoia at the end of last year and were looking for a good local mechanic we could trust. I’ve taken the Sequoia to Craig Automotive 3 times this year for various repairs and maintenance and all 3 times I’ve been impressed with the workmanship, honesty, speed, and cost of this shop. They are personable and always able to get us on their schedule in a reasonable amount of time, and 1 very involved repair (SAIS for those who know) was completed quickly and for a fair price. Every time I’ve had an appointment they’ve made sure to thoroughly explain the repairs that were done when I come back to pick up my vehicle, in a way that dealerships and other shops I’ve used don’t (showing me failed parts that were taken off my vehicle and going into depth about what could have caused the issue). That level of communication and honesty with the customer is something I value very highly and will keep me coming back to Craig Automotive.
