I had a slow leak on my rental car, the last thing anyone on a road trip wants to deal with, and Dakota tire was able to make the experience as pleasurable as it can be. Quick, efficient, great price and a charming location. Possibly the best waiting room I’ve ever been in for a car service business. The gentlemen were kind enough to check my fluids and other vitals to ensure I was set for the rest of my trip. Based on their call volume, I was lucky to get in when I did and I would gladly give them my business if I lived here.

I went to get new tires from another tire service center because they had a good black Friday deal but they couldn't put on new tires because the lugnuts were over-tightened and would just spin around. Dakota Tire is the only place to work on my tires for the past 4 years so it would have been an issue caused by them. When I asked if they could help since it was their fault, they said that's not something they would be able to help with and it wasn't their fault. I remember them telling me after my last tire rotation that there was an issue with at least one of my lugnuts and we could talk about it next time I'm in for a tire rotation. I'm assuming they knew a mistake was made and was trying to get around it without me finding out. They also do not have the best customer service most of the time.

They were amazing. I came in with what I thought was a bad bead on one of my tires. Turns out I had a slash in it. They replaced the tire with a new used tire that has 40,000 plus miles left on it with no charge. Their waiting room and staff are very knowledgeable and comforting. Very well priced as well!!!

This will be my go-to place for tires and oil changes for as long as I am in the Fargo area! Prices on tires for my truck with installation hands down beat any "chain" tire stores. The customer service was fantastic and they have a great waiting area if you are not just dropping your vehicle off. This business is well worth the effort to go outside of the main fargo area!

Dropped our van to have two new tires put on (until we could afford the other two next month) and specified they go on the rear. They put them on the front. This is basic knowledge when doing only two new tires. Easy to look up, even tire manufacture's websites and videos advise this and explain why it's dangerous - ESPECIALLY in winter conditions - to put two new on the front of ANY vehicle. You shouldn't work in a tire shop if you can't follow a simple instruction and don't know tire 101 info.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Dakota Tire. I scheduled an oil change for 9:30 AM and dropped my car off at 8:30, but it wasn’t ready until 3:00 PM, despite multiple calls for updates. After 70 miles on the interstate, my car began emitting white smoke. We had to pull over, and when I tried to restart the vehicle, it wouldn’t start at all. We ended up having it towed home. The next day, we had the car towed to Luther GMC, where they discovered it had been overfilled with oil—11.5 quarts, double the recommended amount! While the owner, Kirk, eventually agreed to cover the repair costs, his initial response was unhelpful and unfriendly. There was no follow-up communication from him; we only learned about the coverage after he spoke with the dealership in person. Overall, while I appreciate that they covered the repair, the lack of professionalism and customer care was disappointing. We never received an apology, and now we’re out of tows if we ever need them. I was without my car for a week while it was being repaired. It’s unfortunate, as I wanted to support a local business. Added: to Cassie who replied to my comment, Kurt was very rude and never called. If he did, he should have left a voicemail, but didn’t. I was never reached out to at all! Kirk’s exact words to my husband was, “I don’t know what to tell you” when my husband called. That doesn’t sound like good customer service! The ONLY communication we EVER received was from the dealership fixing the car.

Their professionalism is top notch ! Got my car worked on super fast and their recommendations to what tire I needed was much appreciated , on top of that I’ve never experienced a place like this where they offered to bring me a ride back home instead of me ordering a Uber ! I was mind blown , best place to get your car worked on or tire service!

Went in for a rim swap on my pickup and both sets I had given them came back in much worse shape. Decent price and turn around time, but if you want your property back in the same shape it was given to them I would pump the brakes (pun intended)

Was given a quote for a front end rebuild. Was charged $750 more than the quote. Asked about it and they said they had a young tech doing the work. Lack of training on your end should not cost me. Steering wheel was not straight after the alignment. I would not recommend this place.

Horrible customer service. Was there couple weeks ago to get tired fixed. Lug nut wasn't tightened. Went back and manager blew me off saying it has been that way for quite some time. Will never come back. And would give a zero star if could. Here is a picture of lug nut that you can tell they put too much pressure on from compact. You couldn't even do that with hand cranking. And only reason it is rusted is due to the extreme moisture that was had first couple weeks in April. Common sense is once you put a scratch in steel it rusts within a matter of time. On a 2020 pickup, there shouldn't be any rust.

Earlier this week I had a nail in my tire. Today I had a screw in another tire. Both times I was in and out in about an hour or less. This last time I had my kids with and the kids corner there was much appreciated! Such great service! I’ve been a customer for over 15 years, I’ve had several vehicles and I keep going to the same place because the service is great every time!

- Great quick friendly services - Professional advice on what you are searching - Clean facility with free fast wifi - Pet friendly - Walk-in service friendly ( if spot opens ) I like the fact that they have many selections of tires and services and how fast the service they are. Plus, they match with your budget to get the best quality.

Absolutely destroyed my vehicle catching the car on the lift rammed it off by pulling it with a truck and having a jack on my differential while smashing the gas using my awd to have the front tires push while the truck pulled. Manager did all of this to my vehicle and at the end screamed at me saying it was my fault I didn't tell him the car had modified suspension for ride height. Ran over bolts on the ground literally watched a worker stare as it got rolled over. You told me you'd talk to my insurance and body guy. We came in and told everyone you weren't going to be a man about anything. You replied to this comment saying you'd make it right but never did. The drama costed me the best body shop in town and I had to lose my car for 6 months while another shop took their time. I was hit and ran the week prior to this so now only you got away with fraud, I was hit and ran also. Had the car not even a month. The video doesn't show you pulling my car out with a tow strap and jack under my rear dif.

I'm a Fargo native but now live in Minneapolis and anytime I need work done on my car, I take special trips home to Dakota Tire and of course visit family. While the customer service at most shops really leaves something to be desired, the Dakota Tire team really goes above and beyond your expectations to help personalize the experience as well as make sure you are taken care of. I've recently visited and their new waiting area is incredible. They've got a fireplace and comfy chairs to make you feel relaxed as well as a nice kitchenette, play area for the kiddos, and clean spacious bathrooms. Overall, I've been working with Dakota Tire for the last 10+ years and they are and will continue to be my #1 pick for tire and mechanic work.

2008 kia optima they replaced both cv joints and put the wrong 1 on the passenger side. Speed sensor abs light comes on now and they said they had nothing to do with the abs speed sensor. I was charge 700 plus dollars. Not an easy mistake. My girlfriend even seen the difference when I showed her. You can see when I replaced the abs speed sensors. Is when I realized the passenger cv joint they installed. Was not even going in far enough for the speed sensor to read it. But how do you not catch that?? Because of their mistake I should of not had to replace abs speed sensors and have to fix their mistake. And they said they had nothing to do with the abs speed sensor. Well guess they need to find out who worked on this. Cause this is bad guys. Hope you can do better for the next person.. Best wishes!!
