Our family has been going to Ken Davis Auto Repair for over 15 years now having been reccommended to us by another family. He has helped keep my husband and I, 3 kids, and 6 cars on the road. Two of the cars we drive everday, are over 18 yrs old. What else can I say? You have to invest in the maintenance of your vehicle, much like your health, to get the maximum value from the cost of your automobile. Ken and his staff are professional mechanics. A/C on car struggled, made noise and didn’t work great until one day it decided to stop. I brought it in to the dealership, they looked at it for a full week, charged me thousands of dollars (plurality). They recommended and replaced things that didn’t need replacing. A week later the same problems were back. If you are in the area and are looking for an honest, no nonsense and yet thorough check, I recommend you see Ian at Davis Automotive Repairs. Ian mounted and balanced new wheels on my Lexus GX470 and completed a number of service items on the vehicle. The work performed was professionally and promptly performed. He kept all of the take-off unserviceable parts for me to look at without me even having to request that. He recommended repair/replacement of some service items he discovered without being pushy at all. I proceeded with several of those because they were obviously necessary, but I would have never known had he not pointed them out.

I took my BMW 228i to a shop I normally use and they told me my catalytic converter was bad because of a check engine light. I'm not going to go into the details but it appears that they set my car up for failure because of check engine light. So I took my car to BMW afterwards and they say that they never saw something like this in 30 years. And BMW pretty much wanted to put a new cat on along with O2 sensors and many other parts. Coming in at over 6k and they told me that it might not fix the problem. So I did a bunch of searching because I wasn't happy with what I was being told and it didn't seem to be accurate to me. Just guesses.. I found Davis and checked the reviews, which I was happy with, so I called them and spoke with them and explained what happened and what I was being told. They told me something seemed off and that they could get my car in for a diagnostic test. Keep in mind I already spent almost $400 in testing already. But something felt honest and truthful this time around. So I brought my BMW in and it turned out to be almost nothing wrong with my car. I didn't need a catalytic converter or any expensive repairs. Davis went way above and beyond for me. Honestly it cost less for the repairs (which i think another shop did to my car on purpose in order to get me to do the expensive repairs with them) than they were charging for the diagnostic work alone. I'm am so satisfied! Keep in mind that it's Christmas time and because of what I was expecting to spend on the car my girl wasn't getting a Christmas gift, just a working car. Now I can get her a belated Christmas gift and her car is running tip top. I've been so stressed out all December because of false information given to me from shops looking to take advantage. Davis saved me from having a not so good Christmas and new year to being able to do the things I wanted to do for my wife. He now has a lifelong customer.

I can’t say enough good things about Ian and his shop. It’s rare these days to find a mechanic who is both highly skilled and genuinely honest, but that’s exactly what I found here. Ian’s experience with BMW vehicles is outstanding, and it shows in the quality of his work and the way he explains every detail clearly. He walked me through each repair with photos, diagnostic reports, and straightforward explanations. He never pushed unnecessary work — in fact, he told me when something could safely wait. That alone says a lot about his integrity. His pricing is also far better than any dealership, yet the workmanship is top-level and precise. I had several major services done, and the difference in how my car drives now is incredible. Ian clearly takes pride in what he does and truly cares about his customers and their cars.
