This was the second time I took my Dodge truck into Davis Diesel. They didn't disappoint again. I was so impressed with how thorough they were with my trucks. The guys are always professional, their shop is always clean and they're reasonably priced based on their quality work. I will continue to take my diesels to Davis Diesel.

Michael communicates clearly with what needs to be done, the timeframe it takes, and the cost to the penny. Very wonderful and easy to work with Davis Diesel, and the work they do is really good. Moved from California 4 years ago, where I had a most wonderful relationship with my mechanic, and Michael and staff have filled that in Spokane Valley with spades.

Work is performed correctly and on time. Mike always calls with estimate first and there are no surprises later. Honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend. Subsequent visits have compelled me to drop a star. Prices are a little too high and some of work performed on my rig wasn’t taken care of like it should have been. Had been having a problem with a non OEM part being installed and going bad. Was being covered by warranty of part seller and labor. Had same problem again and Davis Diesel just replaced part and charged me exorbitant price for labor and glossed over issue. I mentioned high labor charge and they cut it a little but didn’t discuss whether problem part issue was resolved or not, almost as if they just didn’t want to deal with it anymore. Like they didn’t really try very hard to figure out issue and just said oh well. They spotted another part on my truck that needed repair and gave me a quote. I declined and received a quote from another shop with same quality part replacement but their quote was 1/2 of Davis’s. Don’t think I can afford this shop anymore.

These guys are outstanding! I was pulling a trailer with my daughter's stuff following her marriage from Oregon to North Dakota. Unfortunately, I blew an injector line on the way. Fortunately for me, it was within towing distance of Davis Diesel. They had my truck in their shop in no time. My truck was repaired, suprisingly fast, and at a very fair price. It is hard to find good diesel mechanics and these guys are the best.

Although they were seemingly courteous and kind, I got a quote that was extremely high. I looked online and called another mechanic and learned that Davis Diesel's price was nearly 3-4 times what it should cost. When I asked what the diagnostic fee was, I was quoted $450!!! Outraged, I asked them if they took apart my vehicle to do the diagnostic. The courteous facade dropped and the employee told me to come get my vehicle and that they would not be taking me as a customer. I immediately retrieved my vehicle and got the work done at another shop that day for the more reasonable price that was expected. Do NOT get any work done here!

Tim, Michael and the staff were amazing. I walked in after Dishman Dodge refused to work on my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. Tim accepted my truck and repair without hesitation. My issue was diagnosed, repaired and I left with a high level of confidence. Pricing and time frame was very reasonable. I highly recommend this facility for your diesel repairs.

Davis diesel will lie to you about the price of parts and they will rip you off. They told me a part that was $401 was $1600 dollars and tried hard with that lie to convince me why it was $1600. I was told it was a kit thats why. Yeah well i got the same kit for $401. They were gonna try and charge me $3100 for a job that an honest shop did for $780 dollars. They said that someone put an aftermarket part on my truck when in reality they are the ones that did it last year, on top that they told me a sensor was bad that was not so they tried to sell me me something I did not need as well as charge me labor for it. dishonest lying thieves. Never again will they get business from me. And my reply to Davis diesels reply is they are full of bs. They do to put aftermarket Chinese Parts on Trucks because they Put one on mine when they put a new turbocharger on my truck last year and charged me over 7100 for it and I found out that an honest shop would have done it for $3,000 less. When they put the turbocharger on my truck they put an aftermarket turbo speed sensor on my truck. I have the aftermarket Speed sensor sitting here right next to me. I now have an oem turbo speed sensor on my truck that has a harness around the wire unlike the aftermarket green wire that they installed and it did not cost $1,600 like Davis diesel tried to tell me. Now I can't help but wonder if they put an aftermarket turbocharger on my truck. I'm going to check into that. On top of that I did not need a coolant sensor like they tried to tell me. They were going to charge me for a coolant sensor and the labor to install it and it did not need to be done and my driving habits have nothing to do with them being dishonest about the prices of parts and them putting an aftermarket turbo speed sensor on my truck when they installed the turbocharger last year and my driving habits have nothing to do with them trying to sell me a coolant sensor that I do not need. Dishonesty is dishonesty any way you look at it. If you don't like to spend thousands of dollars extra for repairs then I would not recommend going to Davis diesel. I would recommend that everybody take a look at their one-star reviews. They have allot of them. Now that I think about this even more Davis diesel says they will not put Chinese aftermarket parts on your vehicle but they lie because they put one on mine. An aftermarket turbo speed sensor was removed from my truck by an honest shop When they put a new OEM Speed sensor on my truck and Davis diesel is the shop that installed my turbocharger last year and I know a speed sensor comes with a turbocharger so now I bet you they put an aftermarket turbocharger on my truck because an oem turbocharger is not going to come with an aftermarket speed sensor like what was on my truck. I will be checking into this.

After a horrible experience at another shop getting jerked around for 9mo I felt pretty confident after talking to davis diesel about bringing my truck in to have them figure out its issues. First being told it would start at a regular diag then once they got into it. They said it needed advance diag and eventually told me it would be something like 21k to replace an ecu Engine harness and transmission harness in my truck and ultimately couldnt guarantee that was the issue. The harness is discontinued through mopar but even used the quotes were astronomical. Ultimately I had the ecu tested and it tested perfect. The tipm was bad (1200 new) and the engine harness was sourced from a low milage truck for $350. So I feel the ~$1600 for a diagnosis that ultimately took less than half a day of work and was ultimately BS. Deserved this 1 star review. I wish anyone luck finding a legitimate diesel shop in this area.

Well where do I start...... So Davis diesel is ridiculously over priced. I went there once to get my turbo replaced and was quoted really high for a stock turbo replacement. Had to look around there isn't many diesel shops in the valley so it was hard to find another shop, but I did and the job they did was fantastic and $3,000 dollars less with a great 5 year warranty for all work completed cause the they do good work. My truck still drives fantastic thank god I went somewhere else!!!

The crew at Davis Diesel is absolutely wonderful and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I brought in a 1995 7.3L Powerstroke that had sat on a farm for 10 years and smelled awful, and had many issues to resolve. Davis Diesel went above and beyond to rectify all of the problems. They were prompt and efficient, and very cost effective. Their waiting room is beautiful and clean, and all of their staff are prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable. They do super quality work and are always up front and honest with their pricing and estimates. I would enthusiastically recommend them for work on any vehicle. I have found my new one stop shop for my diesel truck. These guys are the best!

Always quality and friendly service. A service app on my phone stated my differential was supposed to be serviced but Michael looked up the history on my truck and recognized that it wasn’t actually needed yet. He didn’t push any unnecessary service on me. I simply waited in their nice, comfortable waiting area during the maintenance service. Davis Diesel is where you want to have your vehicle cared for!

Davis Diesel was suggested by another shop I had contacted to due some maintanence on my F250. I contacted Michael and we discussed my needs. He described how they would handle the work along with the a time estimae to conduct the work and a cost estimate. I liked his none pressure approach and we agreed on the project. I arrived early on the day scheduled and he was able to start early. The work was done as agreed, completed on time and cost less than the estimate. And as a bonus I received a well written review after they inspected many systems on the truck. And I must comment on the very clean and confortable customer waiting area. I will return for service and repairs as needed.

I brought in my older Dodge Ram for a check engine light and sluggish performance. found and fixed a turbo boost leak and also noticed my transmission fluid was low. They topped it off and didn’t charge extra. Good service by them.

Everyone at Davis Diesel went above and beyond at every step. From the owner, to Micah my service manager, to Harrison the tech who did the wrenching, I’m really impressed with how they treated me and went the extra mile, in not only fixing my big problems, but really Improving my F350 which was a very complicated case. TRUST in a quality mechanic is always (unfortunately) hard to find. These.guys are the real deal, trustworthy and quality! Thanks for working with me.

I have worked with 3 other Diesel specialty shops plus the dealer. Davis is absolutely the best of all my experiences. They underpromised and over delivered. Really. Then, to top it off, Michael Met me after hours to get my truck back to me. This is a 1st rate operation. Clean, organized and professional. You just don''t get that kind of service anymore.

They have never failed me in the years that I have been coming here. The staff explains issues clearly, doesn’t push unnecessary repairs, and always finishes on time. From routine maintenance to unexpected fixes, everything feels professional, honest, and fairly priced. You can tell they genuinely care about customers.

Whatever you do, stay away from Davis Diesel Automotive on Sprague in Spokane. This shop charges extremely high prices. My husband is a diesel technician and is very familiar with standard parts and labor costs. We were initially quoted $1,600 for transmission rebuild parts for a Ram truck, but later received a work order showing $13,000 for parts and $7,000 for labor. In addition, we were charged $1,441 for diagnostics. These charges are far above industry standards based on our firsthand knowledge. While my husband has the experience to do the work himself, he doesn’t have the time due to his full-time job, which is why we brought it in.

I took my truck to Davis Diesel Automotive for diesel diagnostics and was impressed right away. They quickly found the problem, shared photos from the inspection, and walked me through the repair options. My truck has been running flawlessly ever since, and the work and communication were excellent.

I was just out driving my truck today. 1 day after Davis Diesel did an “all fluids change”. I’m very happy with their knowledge and attention to detail. I appreciate the dumbed down version of explanations, due to my lack of knowledge and experience with diesel engines. Thank you! My truck had never driven so nice. Finally drives like a broken in truck. Cummins 6.7, 90,000 miles.
