Took three days to replace our radiator when they said it would be one day, they broke a part while replacing the radiator then charged us for the part and the labor to install it. They replaced our radiator at the end of the day the second day they tell us that we can pick it up but they broke a part while replacing it so we need to bring it in the next day so they can replace the part. I picked up the car and paid $1,250 for the service but before I reached my destination just a few miles away the engine coolant low warning light came on and the car was hot. We took it back in the next day letting them know that the car was still overheating with the new radiator. They said it would be done at noon, at 3 in the afternoon they said we can come pick up the car but made me pay for the part they broke and the labor to install it another $150! $1,400 to replace a radiator! I'm not a happy camper!

Took my car to check out a small fuel leak - it would leak a small amount (roughly the size of a quarter over a day) on the front right side. Not an emergency but not something you'd want to ignore so at a friend's recommendation I took to Deano's. Long story short it didn't go very well. Seems like a knowledgeable shop but with bad customer service and a large amount of disorganization. Initially all was well, as a shop they appear to be very busy (which is good). I scheduled to drop my car off in the morning about a week out (because they're booked very tightly) and dropped it off at 8AM, re-explained the problem and was told I would get a call about 10AM with an explanation/estimate. I didn't get a call at 10 and wound up calling them at noon, but no one was available to talk. Called again at 2, and at 3 and finally got someone who was able to talk specifically about my car. That conversation was where the whole situation started to fall apart - "do you need this car back today"? I was a bit puzzled, it wasn't busy when I dropped it off several hours ago but we're just starting it now? They didn't have an estimate either, but instead a general idea of what could potentially cause the problem (fuel pump, gas tank, or a seal) but they would need to open it up (labor intensive) and put together an estimate around that, $300 for roughly 3 hours labor to get a specific idea of what was causing the issue, and if it would be easy/cheap to replace or hard and/or expensive. My car is a fair bit older so expensive would be a no-go for me and the mechanic agrees with my assessment (not worth $600+ parts for a sub $4k car). The next weeks rolls around and I drop it off at 8AM again and am told I'll get a call before noon. Once again I do not get a call at that time and have to call them at 2 where no mechanics are available but they're working on it and again at 3 which was another "did you need this today?", but they mentioned that could happen so I leave it there. Tomorrow comes around without a call so I'm left calling them a few times until a mechanic is free to talk to me and I'm told the issue is main fuel pump ($600) and I let them know that's out of my price range so no thank you, to which the mechanic sounded annoyed - even though this was the plan going in? This call ended with a "do you need this today?" which I did. When I get there at 4:50 they're still piecing it back together. The work comes in over estimate by about 25% but they're estimates for a reason - I'm annoyed the parts cost so much but I can't blame Deano's for that, so it is what it is. I settle up and wish them well and go on my way. When I get home I notice that gas is now leaking from the center (not the front right, which was the initial problem) and way more of it was leaking (it used to be about the size of a quarter in a 24 hour period) and now it was leaking about a full three inches an hour. Way, way more than when I brought it in. I'm still not mad at this point. These things can happen, it might just be residual gas from when they took it apart and put it back together and if it persists I'll just give them a call and see if they want to take another crack at it. It persisted, it is now way worse than it was initially so I give them a call and explain the situation and offer to bring the car in and drop it off so they can take another crack at it. But they didn't want to, saying it's probably the same problem, despite the fact that wasn't anywhere near this bad before I brought it in. I'm left with the feeling that I'd be way better off if I never brought it here in the first place.
