Probably one of the worst auto shops I have been to. I took my car there because it was having battery issue, it won't start. The battery was pretty new, which was replaced 1 year ago, but started to have problems. I took it to the battery shop and had it looked, there was no problem with the battery. So I took the car to this auto shop on a Friday, I wanted to get it fixed Saturday so that it won't affect my schedule at work on Monday. I told the guy I work at the VA hospital as a provider and I didn't want to cancel any of the veterans' appointments while I mentioned that I was also a veteran. He said come back on Saturday morning, and they will be able to fix it. I took it next morning, and was told that they would need the whole day to diagnose and fix. I said it's okay, and they could change the oil while they are checking on the starting issue. After waiting 1.5 hours, they told me that it is a starter issue and it would cost me $900. I was skeptical but I trusted the professional. Then I was told to come back before they close to pick up the car. I didn't get a phone call about the work and I went back at 3:30 but it wasn't done until 4:30. If they couldn't complete it on time, they could have given me a phone call. Long story short, $900 new starter didn't fix the starting problem. My car didn't start on Monday, and I called the VA clinic that I wouldn't be able to go to work on time. I took the car back to the auto shop. There were different staff on Monday, who were nice at least. They said they will take another look. Later they told me they replaced the battery and cleaned the battery cables, that took care of the problem so far. That's why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I spent over $1000 including the starter replacement and engine oil change. They told me that veterans get 10% discount but I didn't get the discount on Saturday, and they would apply it next visit. OK I appreciate the offer but I already spent over $1000 for something that wasn't even the problem. And the staff on Saturday didn't offer the 10% discount even when my car has Veteran plate, my ID has veteran status, and I personally told him I was a veteran. Very interesting...

Meineke at 2825 Kietzke lane in Reno NV I went in for a free break Inspection left feeling deceived, dismissed and disrespected. They never asked for my lug key, which I had in my purse. So they couldn't have removed my wheels to inspect the brake pads or rotors Properly They did not answer any of my questions like, how much pad is left. Can you see the ceramic pads I previously had on there ? Can you tell me the shape of my rotors? How much pad is left on the front and back ? Nothing no questions answered, they gave me a quote though From $1200 to $1300 and told me they don't know exactly how much more it could cost until they get in there and start working on the vehicle. But don't worry, we'll take care of you.instead of doing the inspection, they opened my hood and charged me for an air filter. Facts were not explained. No one showed me measurements of my rotors, or how much was left on my brake pads They just kept me waiting like a fool. They took my car for a test drive for I don't know how long after the inspection which made no sense. Now my car is shaking at high speeds, something it never did before. I felt like I was treated like a joke. No transparency, no respect and no real inspection. I will never return and I urge others to be cautious....!

Took my pickup in for an alignment issue. Was quoted nearly 10 thousand dollars worth of work for "front end damage". Paid cash in full up front, waited weeks to be finished then Drove it home and it was still out of alignment. Bought new tires hoping it was that, and discount tire said it was completely out of alignment. Told meineke that and they said having the new tires put on took it out of alignment. They offered to redo the alignment anyway but canceled when I showed up for the appointment. I'll change my review if it gets resolved.

Meineke Reno is unsafe, unprofessional and should be AVOIDED at all costs. While my car was in there shop one of the mechanics informed me that the salesperson was a registered sex offender. He repeatedly hit on me and asked me when I was going to have him come over to my place. When I immediately shot him down his entire demeanor did a 360. He became agitated, hostile, and passive aggressive to say the least. I was quoted my car repairs would be no more than $2,500. Then it went up to over $3,300. Aiden informed me that I was quoted $2,500 because, the employee had it in his head that he was going to get “something” out of it. I was given the run around with my car for a few days. They were literally keeping my car at there shop and not doing anything to it. It was just sitting there. If I had not kept texting Carla to find out what was going on with my car and calling the people she told me to call because, she decided to play the dumb card and mind games with me I never would have been notified by them. In one of Carla’s many texts she had stated “Be clear about what that will risk”… I will NOT allow anyone to threaten or disrespect me. When I was finally able to get a hold of the owner Aiden he was rude, unprofessional, belligerent and just an overall Donkey. He told me to come get my car immediately. I already knew how this was going to pan out. Before I went to get my car I had called the Reno Police Department and explained what was going on. Upon arrival when I stated to Aiden that I was the owner of my car he was visibly furious. It took everything in him to not lose his composure. He was “spitting mad”! He would not give me my keys until I signed his paperwork. I declined. He kept refusing until I signed the paperwork. I knew then that it was time to get the police down there immediately. 3 patrol cars arrived. While I was explaining and discussing everything with one of the officers the other two went into the shop. The two officers returned with my keys and the paperwork to sign. I declined yet again. They explained that Aiden wanted me off his property immediately and I informed them that I’ve been trying to do that. I didn’t want to deal with that. I should not of had to. The officers were completely helpful and did not make me sign the paperwork. They gave me my keys and I left. Let me be crystal clear as to why I am leaving this review. I do not want anyone to have to experience what I unfortunately had to. Especially being a single woman and to be treated the way I was. Please be careful and selective as to where you conduct business. One last thing. I was informed that they repaired one thing on my car. They did NOT repair anything. Out of the 3 1/2 days they had it in their possession.

Had an appointment at 10am on Saturday. Got multiple texts reminding me of appointment and when I showed up at 9:50am, there was no one there. The hours say 8am-4pm on Saturday. I called and heard the phone ring inside, no answer. No heads up. The open sign was in the door. I’ll try the sparks location, but never this one again. A simple heads up call would have been nice. I know stuff happens, maybe too many people called in, idk. But some communication would have been nice.

We paid for a diagnostic, only to have them tell us EXACTLY what Autozone told us for free. Then they wanted 6x the diagnostic amount to tell us what was wrong with the vehicle. I thought that was what we paid for the first time. Take your vehicle somewhere else.

Mark Did a great job on our challenger. Very happy with his work. He made sure the job was correct and that we were 100% satisfying before leaving. I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here if you’re looking to get exhaust work done!

Takes advantage of women and people who don’t know how to service their car. They saw me coming into the shop and assumed I was an idiot that didn’t know how to physically inspect my own rotors. Gave me an estimate ($500.00) to replace the rotors. Before even arguing over the condition of my rotors, I asked for a veterans discount, all of the sudden it became an issue with the front desk guy to go back in the system to discount me 10%. I asked for my car keys back, took my estimate, and went to Dolan Toyota. I DID NOT NEED ROTORS!!! Y’all are community crooks! Dolan hooked me up! Changed my brake pads, washed my car and it was much less expensive.

Good experience, only issue is they didnt know they had the wrong part to my car until it was already in the air with a tire off. Thankfully i didn't need that much done but it caused me to wait another week until my car could get properly fixed.

BEWARE! They absolutely will take advantage of you of you don't know much about cars. I have an outrageous story that just happened within the last two weeks. My dad (82 years old) recently purchased a 2018 Toyota rav 4 and was hearing a suspicious sound with his breaks. He took it into their shop and was given a $3200 quote for breaks and ball joints. I immediately called a trusted shop who said it sounded very suspicious for that vehicle and that he would do a quote for free. My dad was going to take it in anyways until his neighbor said it sounded ridiculous and to take it to Schwab. He turned around and did so (THANKFULLY!) He showed them his quote, which he never usually does, and the mechanic said he could do the same work for half the price and get it done that day. He was relieved and accepted that immediately. Shortly after the mechanic calls him into the shop to show him something. He pointed out to him that his breaks were BRAND NEW, and the ball joints were completely normal nothing alarming and to BRING THE CAR BACK WHEN SOMETHING WAS ACTUALLY WRONG WITH IT. My dad was floored beyond belief at how unscrupulous and deceptive this shop was. He definitely didn't have the 3 grand and was going to put it on his credit card. He was saved being utterly scammed by Meineke! If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. I am so angry and disgusted about this fraudulent business. I will warn everyone I meet and copy and paste this story everywhere I can think of. They used a lot fear mongering w him and seemed so trustworthy so seriously go to Schwab or anywhere else and bring someone with you who is skeptical to avoid being scammed like my father almost was.

Amazing honest, Rick and his team, could have told me my breaks were needing replacement. As I truly thought it was time and why I came to them for the free inspection with my oil change. When Rick called with an update as promised, not moving forward unless I approved. I was expecting a quote for breaks, which I did get however he said it wasn’t really necessary at the moment and that I had at least 6-10 more months. I am grateful for their honesty and professionalism . Definitely going to be my cars shop from here on and when my breaks need to be done ,they will be the ones I trust with my car. Thanks guys! They had great customer service. Hey listen to me talk about the problems with my car. They gave me a comprehensive quote. They didn't start any work without me authorizing it first. They were quick to contact me when my car was ready. I'd say this is a good business.

Friendly and professional service Right when you get on site. Make sure when you get there to go slow I missed the front door and garage where you drop it off on the left where they prefer you stop and park on the right I had an issue with the way my battery was installed, and they really helped me out. I was in a tight spot. Honestly, they went above and beyond and showed compassion for someone who was struggling. They can move very fast I was watching them it’s an efficient shop.

I am writing this review to document a serious concern regarding the integrity of service at this location. I brought my vehicle in for brake service, noting that my rotors were replaced only last year and were in excellent condition (no dents or scoring). Despite my request to resurface, I was told this was impossible and was subsequently charged $1,213.00 for brand new rotors. However, upon inspecting the work (see attached photos), the rotors installed appear to be resurfaced parts, not the 'new' parts I was invoiced for. To make matters worse, the vehicle was returned to me with a new mechanical issue—a squealing noise when accelerating—that was not present before I dropped it off. Throughout the process, I was subjected to aggressive upselling for thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs. This location appears to rely on predatory sales tactics, specifically taking advantage of women or those they assume lack mechanical knowledge. I warn other customers to verify the parts they are paying for.
