This shop looks a bit rough but they are great. Have been to them a few times and they have been timely, friendly, and reasonable cost. When a new part failed they were quick to replace and install it without a hassle. While they don't make reservations, they have been quicker than two big name tire shops where I had an appointment.

Look. This place isn't a day spa. You aren't going to get a pedicure and a cookie here. What you will find is value. Excellent service by trained, hard-working and multilingual staff. No run-around. There's a reason why this particular establishment is always busy. You'll get fair and regionally affordable new tires and wheels. Not only that, but these guys have seen everything ever related to suspension problems and will fix it for way less than the other "big companies" in town. Definitely had a top-of-the-line experience. Make sure to set an appointment as they are always busy. Also, they'll let you pay it off in 3 months same as cash. Totally solid and cool buisiness. I'll be back in the future.

This is the best place to get your tires at. They are easily the most affordable place in all of northern Nevada. Plus I got my brakes done here as well and they do amazing work. The entire staff is incredible, especially Stephanie and Vanessa!

Got brakes replaced. Started driving and noticed the lugs were put on hand tight on driver front. After a month when I brake the vehicle started to wobble. The rotors have hot spots as they were not done correctly. Dont waste your money here.

Was passing through on a trip, ABS light went on and stopped at this business. Was told it could be fixed & waited for hours. Once I was told it was done, I went to the front desk and was told that they weren't able to fix it. All they did was change the front brake pads and rotors. The lady at the front desk told me and my husband they would need to order another part and it would cost more money. She said she would order the part for the next day and so we took the truck the next morning to get worked on. Later that afternoon, we get a call from the front desk telling us that they may not get to fix our vehicle and we could leave it over night so they could fix it the next day. But they weren't even open the next day. We decided to take our chances on the road and drive it home. The drive back was worse than the drive towards our trip! Before, the brakes already had kicking back issues, and after taking it to the shop, I'd press on the brakes really hard and still skid 25ft before i'd be able to come to a complete stop! We took it to our mechanic back home and he told us they put the rear brakes in the front! The rear brakes don't fit in the front because they're not supposed to go there. This messed up the braking system even more and also resulted in issues with being able to press the gas pedal and drive. That really makes me question if they are incompetent mechanics or scammers who couldn't care less about the safety of their customers. AND NO THIS WAS NOT OLD MANAGEMENT, THIS WAS NEW MANAGEMENT!

Cheap and great service!! Administrator was very kind and master's did their work really great! I was replacing my rear pads, that I've bought in Advanced Auto Parts. Labor costs $120 total for 2 rear pads. that is cheap - while I was searching for best place - $120 was the minimum for labor for 1 axile.

My brother went to get new tires. Arrived at 10am and didn’t leave till 5pm. He got less than a mile down the road before the front left tire CAME OFF OF THE CAR AND ROLLED DOWN THE STREET!!! He then had to run back and tell them and they picked up the tire and put it back on. Allegedly the tire came off because his studs were too rusty. Which is not how that works really. They clearly forgot to torque the tire putting my brothers life at risk allowing him to leave without any proper checks. Absolutely incompetent behavior. DO NOT GO HERE. They also tried to charge him 900$ to replace his front brake pad. An absolute scam. Do not give them your business under any circumstances

Let me start off by saying I don't take time to review anything, so here I go.... Affordable Brakes is awesome! Jorge and his team treat you like family. I found out my calipers failed on the front right side of my truck and ruined the drum. I ask if he can fix it, says it will be done before the end of the day and, do I need a ride somewhere? Hell, yes, I could use a ride, but it is 15 miles away. No problem, says Jorge! Drove me home and said if i couldn't find a ride back, he would come get me. Where else can you get great service and treatment like that. Not many places anymore! His people work hard, they are very nice and go out of their way to help everybody! Absolutely avoid this place at all cost! After having simple service done on my truck brakes I’ve had countless issues. They refused to warranty my brakes stating that they weren’t the ones who replaced the pads despite me having the paperwork saying they did. If I can save one other person from these crooks I’ll be happy.

Used them in past with moderate success. Quoted me $100 for alignment with 30 minute wait. So I waited one hour for them to tell me they couldn't give me a alignment and the new price is $150 since my car is low if they were to do it today.

My wife and I came there on March 1st a little past 9 A M.for an oil change. We were given an estimated time of 1 hr. An hour later we called to verify and they said it'll need an extra 30 minutes to complete and they were just pulling the car in. So we waited for another hour and stopped by. The car was still in the garage unattended with just the hood propped open and lifted. As my wife just saw them pouring in the oil, she confronted them about the matter, she was told that they were under staffed and busy. A total of 3 hrs have gone. We're not totally upset about the wait, but the inaccurate time estimates and how this was handled is unacceptable. They were professional enough to compensate half of the price, but that's not the case here, if they cared enough about their clientele, then they should focus more on delivering proper time and work estimates than just have the client wonder and wait. My wife and I have our cars serviced here all the time due their decent price and great quality and service. Not sure if it's still the same owner from before, but it has gone downhill. I really liked this place, but these are our last services and won't be coming back.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Please save your money and go somewhere else. I originally took my car in Tuesday they said it would be ready on Wednesday. It’s now Saturday I picked up my car and the check engine is still on and not only that but I also took the car with a full gas tank and look at how they left it.

I can't thank you guys enough! This 2020 was a difficult time. And my alignment went out which made my tires get eaten up. I didn't realize it till it went past the metal. Tires on a truck is way expensive and I didn't have the money every other place was asking for. I called at the last minute to affordable brakes and tires and couldn't believe the price. Drove down there and they were able to squeeze me in. When I got my truck back I was shocked on how good the tires are for the price! If you’re the type of person who does a ton of research and reads reviews and are looking to get some work done on your vehicle, save yourself some time and read this review. I know it’s long but it should give you a sense of what this place really is. Last week I purchased a used Ram 1500 that needed new brakes, tires and an alignment. I doubted that I could find somewhere that would be competitively priced that could do it all. But I was going to try. I didn’t want to set appointments and drop the vehicle off at several different places. My first goal was to find the right tires and price them. I checked everywhere from Walmart to tire rack. I called every local shop from Reno to Truckee and the lowest I could find them elsewhere was $350 each. I asked that place what they would charge for all of the work I needed and they quoted me $2,500. Which was more than I wanted to spend. Plus they said I’d have to wait till the following week for the tires to come in. Luckily I found Affordable Brakes and Tires on google. I was immediately hopeful because affordability was in the name. Not only did they quote me $750 less than the last place but they told me I could bring the vehicle in that day. All of that was exciting. But what would I be sacrificing going to this shop instead? I read some of the reviews from when the shop had a previous owner and thankfully I didn’t let any of the less than positive comments stop me. They far exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond for me. The work was done right and in the time frame I was told. They even had these digital reports I’d never seen at any other shop before. Very fancy. Stephanie and Vanessa were phenomenal. They know their stuff and were very knowledgeable and helpful about some of the other stuff going on with my vehicle that needed to be addressed. And it never felt like an upsell like you experience at every oil change spot. I will definitely be taking all my vehicles here from now on. What more can you ask for in a shop. The best prices! Quality work! Honesty! If at this moment, you are doing the google till your mind goes numb trying to figure out where to take your vehicle. Your wallet will thank you for coming here.
