This is a great shop. I take both of my cars there all the time when there's a problem and they do a great job taking care of it. They're not expensive and, most importantly, they're honest. It's nice to find a shop you can trust to not gouge you on your car repairs.

I have used Discount Tire several times now. I was referred there by another local shop that I trust. They are great, getting most jobs out in short times. Getting my car out quickly has been wonderful because I'm usually pressed for time.The treatment I've received by Jonathan is top notch. On top of that, the prices are beyond fair. They've earned my business. I will use them again

Excellent customer service and really detailed explanation of what I needed and why. Took my car in for a “re-alignment” after the Mazda dealership did it wrong and nearly ruined all 4 of my new tires. The mechanic showed me that my toe settings were way off and were causing my uneven tire wear. He quickly adjusted it and even warrantied the work for 3 months, and they beat the stealership price by nearly 40%. Will definitely be back for any future suspension adjustments/repairs as this place was very honest and fair.

Was given a coupon from Discount Tire for Front End Alignment $55. Called to arrange time. When I got there they said price went to $75, (36% higher). I asked why they hadn't picked up the coupons from Discount Tire or given them new ones with the correct pricing on them. The response was they just hadn't. I get that costs and prices are going up. But, if you can't take the time to go pick up coupons from a major tire dealer up the street that is referring you, and you don't want to honor the rate, it feels like bait and switch to me. I have a hard time putting trust into a business that operates like this. Seemed like nice enough folks on the phone and in person, but trust and honoring your word is everything. Now it is some negative marketing and work of mouth over $20.

Dominic exceeded our expectations for customer service and knowledge of the repairs we needed done to our vehicle. I highly recommend him to everyone especially people who do not have a lot of knowledge when it comes to repairs. Wrong diagnosis and problem was never fixed! Don’t go here! I went to another shop and they got it right the first time. Also, don’t even think about getting a refund because supposedly it’s never their fault. Bad integrity and business especially when the owner talks about being a preacher of Christ. The Hispanic young sales guy in McKinney is nice though. By the way, I’m a multiple shop owner and have an idea of what a shop suppose to run like.

Discount Auto Care has done great work for me in the past. But today, when I really needed assistance, Justin was there right away. I had a flat on 75 and it was not a safe situation. My insurance wanted $95 to send somebody out and it was going to take 89 minutes for anyone to get to me. I called Discount Auto Care on the off chance they could help, and help they did. Justin came out in no time. He was so kind and efficient. He literally said my safety was most important. Who does that? I meant it when I told him I'll never go anywhere else. And, fyi, Progressive roadside assistance is a joke. Thank you Justin. You're the best!!

UPDATE: I am and the pistons are messed up on my a supposedly brand new motor after they had it rebuilt cause they kept messing up the pistons when improperly installing the motor according to the warranty company! Then when you call them, its like I'm bothering them when inquiring about a vehicle that they messed up. At this point I'm just going to file a lawsuit because I take care of my vehicle and get the oil changed when I'm supposed to and take care of the maintenance. I paid for a brand new motor but found out that I wasn't given a brand new motor. The mechanic pointed out the parts that were rebuilt. I basically paid for one thing and was given something different that has now gone bad. Update 10 months later and I still do NOT have my vehicle that they messed up. I returned my vehicle to them the same day and the mechanic cleared the code that clearly showed my vehicle was running hot. Due to a change in staff which was not my problem they tried to screw me. I paid for a brand new motor with a 3 year warranty but they are attempting to rebuild a motor and replace it with a 2 year warranty. I have been without my vehicle for 10 months due to their technician failing to hook my coolant line back up to my transmission. I was initially promised a radiator, motor and transmission by prior staff. I had to go through several conversations for them to honor this. Now Johnson is speaking of him being out of pocket having to pay for a motor that that they did faulty work on. The warranty company refuses to pay for the motor because they are not properly installing the motor. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYTHING AT ALL. THEY LACK ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE FACT THE HAVE LEFT A SINGLE MOTHER WITH CANCER WHO HAS TO REGULARLY TRAVEL BACK AND FORTH TO HOUSTON WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR ALMOST A YEAR BECAUSE THEIR TECHNICIAN DID NOT PROPERLY INSTALL THE MOTOR. HE IS SPEAKING ABOUT WHAT HE IS OUT OF THE POCKET FOR WHEN I AM OUT OF THE POCKET FOR UBER, INSURANCE ON A VEHCILE THAT I CANNOT DRIVE, NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS AND NOT HAVING A JOB BECAUSE THEY HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE FOR OVER 10 MONTHS. THEN GETS UPSET BECAUSE HE IS HAVING TO PAY BECAUSE HIS TECHNICIAN DOES NOT HAVE THE TRAINING TO PROPERLY INSTALL MOTORS. All I can say is that this place is very professional! They will fix whatever issue is wrong and they provide honest upfront pricing and will work with you. Their conflict resolution is awesome as well. They take the time to explain everything to you as well as show you what is wrong with your vehicle. I had two of my vehicles fixed here and I'm very pleased with them. I have found myself a new auto mechanic shop. I am not sure how the pricing compares to others but I can tell you that you get what you pay for and they are fair. They do NOT guess and assume what's wrong, they are true mechanics that will pull your vehicle apart to find the issue while working within your financial budget. True honest mechanics with knowledge and expertise in the area they work in!

**PLEAS READ BEFORE YOU WASTE MONEY** First I dropped my mustang off less than 3 months ago and asked them to do a complete run through on the car and fix what was wrong with it. the work they did was no good and a hose they replaced came off and sprayed antifreeze everywhere. I asked them to check out the electrical connection from the temp sensor because it was not working properly after spattered with antifreeze. They said they could not check the electrical continuity/integrity of the temp sensor unless I paid them to fix a mechanical thermostat. Costs $10 at the same place they buy their parts from even with a 100% mark up that’s only $20. The repair is simple. It’s only 2 bolts and it is visible and very easy to get to. It takes 10 minutes and They charge less than $100/hr for labor so even if you up charge me for a full hour. Total $120.They were trying to charge me almost $200 for that, on top of the $95 to troubleshoot. All this because they did not install the heater hose correctly which caused my temp sensor to go bad so I’m guessing they’re trying to recoup their money. But the funny thing is I never asked them to warranty the work I was willing to pay Just to get my car back but they wouldn’t even look at it unless I Got other extremely overpriced work done. Horrible business, and the manager Raymond has zero integrity. Then they told me I had to leave work in Dallas to get my car by today or else or would be towed. I do not recommend

Very nice, professional, honest, no pressure, patiently explain options and prices. Very fast (often same day), quality work with warranty, at half the cost of dealership. Great communication keeping you informed of progress. Comfortable waiting room with free Keurig coffee, water bottles, and TV. I highly recommend this auto repair shop. I am so grateful for having come here. They were so so helpful. I needed to get my valve cover gasket replaced as well as my thermostat, and they went above and beyond in helping me out. I only write reviews for companies that deserve it. I will tell you this place deserves it. Never in my life have I experienced such amazing customer service. I’ve been here 3 times and each time I was given solutions that were in my best interest. This place truly cares about helping the customer and not taking advantage of them during a vehicle crisis. I went there just to get a second opinion because I had some doubts about some oil leaks I saw at the parking area. Those guys did a thorough inspection and told me there was no oil leak and did not charge a penny for doing the inspection. Only a day before at another car shop, I was told a number of issues in my car which was causing that oil leak and I paid good amount of money just for the inspection. Definitely will come back for any other car related issues.
