We were having some starting issues with our 2014 Ford Taurus Limited. After our car would not start in the Marlow Heights Plaza Shopping Center, I used our USAA Roadside Assistance service (highly recommended) to try and jump start the battery. After that failed to remedy the situation they sent a tow truck to tow the vehicle back to Anacostia and Distad's. This auto service business is truly a hidden gem in historic Anacostia. I was looking for a place near where we live and found a great review about tremendous customer service from this location. I called them in the morning and spoke with Andre. He was very professional and took all of my information and the details of the history of the car starting issues. Some five hours later he had not only diagnosed with the problem was but manage to repair the issue which was a corroded positive battery cable. Further he replaced it with an actual dealer part versus an off-market /junkyard part. I was very impressed with Andre. He was very personable and detailed with his explanation of the problem for our car. I was further impressed with the exceptional speed and efficiency of their work. Although the business is not your typcal bright and shiny auto shop, don't let that dissuade you from using to Distad's. Andre and the mechanics are very professional and I must say quite affordable. I give Distad's Tire & Auto Service 5 plus Stars and highly recommend this shop for Auto Service Repair.

I’m visiting my son in Anacostia, with my 2017 Subaru, with air conditioning that wasn’t working too well in the Spring DC heat. They took a look at my car and said they wouldn’t be able to service the a/c since they didn’t have the correct equipment. They gave me name of local car repair places that may be able to fix our Subaru a/c. I appreciated their honesty and no charge.

This is the best Shop ever..I have been getting my cars serviced by Distad since way back in 2002 at the Capital Hill location in ward 6. I've been coming to this location for 3years or so now. The guys are professional and most of all Honest, I repeat HONEST.. After taking my car to Infinity of Suitland we're I was told I needed to replace all four tires. BTW they had my car for more than 10 days waiting for parts supposedly Waiting on parts. I stop work on the car yesterday then went to DISTAD'S on MLK they checked them out and said I only needed the passenger front tire replaced. He said they would order the tire and it would be in after 2pm tomorrow. Let me get your # and I'll call you as soon as they arrive. Total price, tire tax and labor at $205. This made my day.. The dealer was going to hit me just $400 per tire... Damn sure made my day..

My mom and I went there because our car was leaking antifreeze and overheating. We live in Ohio but we were in DC visiting my sister for Thanksgiving. The guy who looked at the car spent over 2 hours looking at the car trying to find the problem. He bled something and fixed the problem. He didn't charge us a penny. My mom offered and he said he just wanted us to have a safe trip home. He was really a sweetheart. I highly recommend this place to anyone in DC with car troubles.

I had a nail in my tire for the second time in a few months, so I googled a shop nearby at the time and this one popped up. They had fairly positive reviews, so I took a chance. I chatted with one of the owners, while I sat in my car, as he patched my tire. He showed me the nail and patched it right in front of me. I was out of there in under 10 minutes. Great customer service and great price! Cheaper than the other place I went to for the other tire. Highly recommend!!
