Fair price, fast service! I came in at 5:50, thinking he closed at 8(as it said on an old sign at the front) when he actually closed at 6, and not only did he still check out my car, but he stayed open half an hour later to take care of the problem! Nicest, most honest mechanic I’ve ever met. Highly recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE. owner "fixed" my car and then it didn't even make it home. Called just to let him know this, and he started arguing and laughing at me. This place looks sketchy and is. All the good reviews are very minor things like oil changes which everyone should be able to do themselves. Will be reporting the the better buisness bureau.

I've been going to Drake Auto Service for years and I've never been less than happy. Even when it's been an expensive job I've done the research and know that I'm not getting hosed on price or sold things I do not need. On a few occasions I have had to go to other shops when there was no other choice and I paid the price. No pun or joke of any kind intended. James always politely asks what they charged, refrains from rolling his eyes as he's a professional, and then says something to the effect of "I don't mind that they they make money, but it's not good they do THAT". You can tell he's not happy about the reputation con-artists and dealerships give the industry. I really like that about him.

NOT RECOMMENDED: Please read more reviews on yelp. I was charged over 150$ for replacing a door handle. After he fixed it (took 4-5 days for the part to arrive) I couldn’t believe that this is what I paid for. He charged me at least 60$ for parts but the new handle seemed really cheap; it was like a very bad copy of the original one. I checked the prices online and I’m sure that its actual cost was around 10$. In the next day I also noticed that a screw and a small plastic piece from the door were missing. He charged me 90$ for labor... Truly disappointed from this person.

This guy went out of his way to repair my car after a small accident. Got it back fast and for LOTS less than two other places. Don't look around, come here first! 2024 Recently went back for a headlight out. He had the bulb and I was on my way in 15 minutes. Still great service

****WARNING- Please read carefully before you deal with Jameson at Drake Auto****** I recently bought a car from him and noticed it was a fully total vehicle. However, it was working fine and I decided to bought. But later I noticed that there are few maintenance that needs to be fixed soon. I went back to him and asked him to fix. I had to wait around a week to get relevant parts and he took almost all day to fix it. But what I noticed even though I PAID for this repair he had put some old parts not even from correct car's parts. I have Toyota and he replaced from Hyundai. I believe that he took those parts from Junkyard. For reservoir tank replacement he requested $270. The quotation I got from Metrotoyota dealer was $215. For this part, I may go somewhere else. I just mentioned so you can understand how he tried to get your money. Based on my understanding, he is buying full total vehicles from auctions and selling after fixing what you visibly see. (Just touch and based not correctly). For example, I noticed that he used some nylon cable ties to tight rather than using correct screws. So be careful, if you really want to deal with him. I will never stop again and never recommend. He is literally greedy for money.

Recently had a wheel bearing and spindle replaced on my '08 Civic. The owner gave me a price that was much better than the other shops in town (I called 6 other places). Bought a car from James at Drake Auto and I absolutely love it. The process was super quick. I bought the car on Feb 14th and had it for two days and sprang a really nasty oil leak. Took it back and they fixed what they thought was wrong. Got it back. And couple days go by and my oil was leaking again. About 2 quarts every couple days. At this point I was frustrated and really upset that I had spent 6k on a car that kept leaking oil like a faucet. Fast forward another two weeks and two more trips back to the dealership they worked with me and got the car fixed. No more leaking and super professional. Never charged me for any of the services even though I bought the car used and “as is”. I’m happy that James worked with me, even offering me other vehicles on his lot if they were not able to fix the one I fell in love with. Overall I believe I paid a fair price. And I appreciate how helpful they were with getting the car completely fixed for me.
