Took my son's truck here for a diagnostic. Staff was friendly. This shop attempted to sell my son a used motor swap. Saying the head gasket was blown. Took the truck to another shop for a 2nd opinion and all it needed was plugs and ignition coils. Truck is running great now. This shop tried to take my son for almost $7k. Would not recommend, period.

Economy is your shop for your automotive needs if you want a mechanic that diagnose THE issue at hand and do not try to add other issues or fixing what doesn't need to be fixed. They are reliable, reasonably priced, give military discounts and fast. I took my vehicle to another mechanic that tried to fleece me for unwarranted maintenance on my engine mounts. Economy checked all of my mounts and fixed the actual issue, when they could have provided the same feedback for more money. These are the folks you want working on your vehicle, if you are in Hampton roads.

Newport News hidden car repair gem!!! Shhh! Great prices, great mechanics, friendly staff. Came in for my oil change, they hopped right on it. Pricing is fair. I’ve used them for years, never a worry when it comes to service! Matt and Ayden OMG! They made my visit so relaxing. They offer a nice waiting area, with drinks ( coffee, tea, etc.) they are polite and will explain the process. I come here for most of my auto needs. They are also on the local bus route, if you wanna leave and come back. You will be pleased with the pricing and service. But hurry!!!!! Update: Last Friday, the affirmation services were accomplished with the same care and precision as before. Thank you Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Mike at the counter. He was able to get me in and out quickly for my vehicle inspection. This is a very professional establishment, and the customer service is excellent. Run right on past this repair shop. I should have known the first time we picked up the car after it was "fixed" that there would be an ongoing issue with this company. A gentleman who had just left from the shop, came back immediately with a check engine light now on. We went in for my AC which had stopped working, picked up the car and not five minutes down the road my check engine light came on as well. Took it to AutoZone and had it tested luckily it was nothing to do with the AC. In just one week the AC was out again, after having the compressor replaced. Took it back about 6 to 7 times. The last time we were told it was definitely the condenser. We let them do the repair and within a day it was back to blowing hot air. Gave them one last time to get it right, they replaced a switch saying that it was getting stuck in heating mode after we were told it was definitely the condenser. Again after picking up the car, driving home it went out again. When we called well bring it back, it's a learning experience for us etc. No, we will not be back. Had we checked the BBB first we would have never gone because someone else had the very same experience with an AC repair. While it may be affordable, we are out $1500 and still with an AC that doesn't work properly.

They got me in, offered me coffee and began the inspection. They were able to address the issue that would've kept me from passing and was on my way in less than 1 1/2. I come to this place all the time, and I've been coming here for a really long time. Everybody is really friendly, and nice. Chris is amazing, Mike is nice to. I needed help with my vehicle. I called and he was able to see me right away. This is an amazing place. They will work with you, and they are very nice people Chris is amazing and if I could give 10 Stars I would. 🙏🏾🙂🌅
