Worst experience and ripped off my father for $700 of non work. The mechanic kept for 2 months then said he needed a new motor and wanted to charge $3000. It only needed a distributer.

Recommended by a friend...took my Jaguar in to get fuel pump replaced. Parts used did not last a year when they should have lasted 15 plus. Not only that but my evap canister was damaged during the change. This mechanic used airplane glue as a fix...never took the accountability of breaking the canister. I would not recommend this mechanic...if they still call themselves mechanics.

Total rip off. My car turned off while I was driving. It would not crank over and start. Took it to EKG and was told it was my Fuel Pump.$650.00. Well I drove the car home and didn't make it. It was now obvious that it wasn't the fuel pump. They wanted to start over and recharge me to find out why it was not turning on which is why I took it there in the first place. I concluded that this was not a customer friendly business. All they cared about was how much money they could get out of me. Turned out to be that loom/wireharness had an exposed wire that was rubbing against the starter. Got that moved and tied so it wouldn't rub. Haven't had a problem since then. But it took me going somewhere else. I do not recommend this place. Not telling you not to go but go at your own risk. Thumbs down. They will not take responsibility for their shifty work.

I have had nothing but great experiences at EKG Gaston's. I have been a repeat customer because I always get great customer service. They are friendly and willing to talk to you about what is going on with your car and what options you have. They will look over your car and let you know what it needs. They will not push you into any repairs. The type of cars that pass through their garage doors should be enough proof that these guys are legit. I will continue to take my vehicles to them and encourage others to do the same.

I’ve been going to EKG for years, for all my tricky automotive problems. After a routine oil change at a LOCAL Honda Dealership, I realized how grateful I am to know about this fine place, with great expertise at a fair value. The local dealer was giving me a grocery-list of reasons that I needed to rebuild my engine or do an engine swap. Of course, my next call, was to Eddie at EKG, as I was freaking out. He was available at closing time, looked over my truck, and said I didn’t have anything serious to worry about. The next day that same Honda dealer called me, trying to warn me from driving out of town with my truck. It’s been 8-months, and I still HAVEN’T HAD any problems!!!! If you care about your vehicle, Beware of EKG: My porsche was running great and was only due for an oil change when I brought it to EKG. He recommended a laundry list of additional work that he wanted to do on it. But, I told him I only wanted the oil changed. He charged me $400 for the oil change, which is more than two times as much as everywhere else I’ve ever taken it. But worse, before I got home from picking up my vehicle, i had to pull Over because it was completely out of coolant. It had been running perfectly when I took it to EKG, But it has never even been drivable again since.

I've reached out directly EKG multiple times to resolve an outstanding issue regarding their failure to perform a service that was paid for in full. As the owner is neither a fair nor reasonable person, or one who can admit any fault, I cannot in good conscious recommend anyone to this shop.

I was needing to have a mechanic do a Pre Purchase Inspection for an older Toyota Highlander I was getting from a local San Antonio Dealer. I called Eddie and he was able to fit in the Inspection. He was thorough and discussed with me the issues he found. He checked everything and wrote a quote to repair the things he found deficient. We talked through each issue and he was correct that to have a family member in this car that these things were needed for their safety. Eddie quoted a fair market price for the different items and his labor costs were good. I'll share Eddie's information with any friends and family for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic.

Initially was referred to EKG by the courtesy driver at BMW San Antonio on a ride home after dropping my car off for something not only BMW blew out of proportion but also was going to charge me the price of a first born daughter to have fixed… And I have gone to EKG since then not only for my first BMW, but both of the ones I bought after that one. Mr. Eddie has been very insightful, diligent and transparent so for me to have moved here at 19 years old from Ohio and for me to have been introduced to him the way I was, as well as be taught by him EVERYTIME I come by for car troubles, just goes to show that if anyone has anything negative to say about Mr. Eddie or their experience with him they are a big fat liar and probably just mad about something within themselves or personal life. Most honest, fair and accurate priced mechanic I’ve ever met. He’s like an uncle to me now and I’m forever grateful to have met him !

Eddie the owner was extremely helpful. Fast service. Extremely professional. My rear bearings in my Ford F150 went out I have a friend that has a company across the street from EKG. Eddie called me the following morning gave me a quote, then called after he had the truck apart and told me that my axil was word as well gave me the price and charged no other labor cost other than what was originally gave due to that was part of the area that was being serviced. One full day of service. Truck broke Monday afternoon. Was in his shop at break of morning and was in front parking lot by that afternoon, I did not have funds until Thursday morning, was off work and dropped at his shop at 330 Thursday. Truly Thank you Eddie for timely and professional work 6*'s
