THERE ARE STILL HONEST MECHANICS IN SAN ANTONIO!! I was having battery problems. Bought the battery at O'Rileys so I took it there and they checked it and my alternator and said my alternator was bad. I called 3 places and Gus Mann gave me the best estimate for replacement. I dropped the car off in the morning and by noon they called me and told me the alternator was charging, but the battery was not holding the charge. They called O'Rileys and had the battery swapped out (it was still under warranty). The saved me over $400 and told me if I had any more battery issues to bring it back because there might be a draw issue draining the battery. They could have easily just replaced the alternator and charged me for it, BUT THEY WERE HONEST! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR AUTO REPAIR AND SERVICE! THANKS GUS MANN AUTO MOTIVE! P.S. Don't buy auto batteries from O'Rileys. I have had 3 swapped out!

I’ve used Gus Man Automotive for my vehicle multiple times. For a tune up, brakes and a gasket leak. I have little knowledge when it comes cars & Gus Man always gives me a fair estimates & affordable prices for great work. All work comes with warranty and smiling faces. The employees communicate well and break down the car talk to basic things a nonmechanic like me can understand. 🙌🏼 Definitely would recommend!

I don’t know anything about cars. My shifter cable wore out unexpectedly on a Wednesday afternoon. They called and checked all the extended warranty for me and did all of the back work while I was at work and kept me completely informed. He was completely honest with me and told me that if I took it to the dealer they would probably cover it but bc he was so honest and efficient I chose to keep it there. I had it back by Friday afternoon and he even answered my call after hours bc I couldn’t pick it up myself and took the time to describe everything they did and what to expect. Prices are also insanely affordable! 100% recommend this team they are amazing!!

Let me tell you. My name is Mark Escalera. United States Navy Veteran and 53 years young. I wish I would have found these guys 25 years ago. I’ve been doing business with them for a little over a year and a half now. I was blown away and impressed the very first time. Every time I go I continue to be impressed by the professionalism and honesty. They treat you like family and dishonest is not a word that is used in their business. These guys could have taken me for a lot the times I went to them, but they are honest and their work is on point. I’m hard to impress. And I’ve never been impressed by an automotive shop before. Until I did business with Gus Mann Automotive. Oscar and Mark are the epitome of what good, honest mechanics should be. I’m always recommending them to friends, now I’m recommending them to the public for a second time in less than a year. My only issue was I was supposed to get a free oil change, for doing a Google review, and they still charged me $18. And I took my own oil and filter. But! I’m not worried about it. I’m assuming they forgot and the next time I need an oil change, I won’t be charged. Again. I take my own oil and filter. I still cannot give them less than 5 stars! My first 5 star google review was last August. I’m sure there will be more. Go see them.

We've been taking our vehicles to Gus Mann for a few years now. Oscar and crew are top notch! Very professional and very knowledgeable, and we're very pleased with their service. Oh, and we live across town, so the fact that we're willing to drive 30 minutes to Gus Mann instead of finding someone closer speaks volumes! On another note, as a woman, I can honestly say that I feel very comfortable taking my car to them. I feel they are honest and trustworthy, which is why I'm willing to drive across town for any car maintenance or repairs.

I came from out of town and broke down as soon as I got near my hotel. Didn't know the area and saw he was closest with good ratings. I called and told Oscar I would not be there until they closed. Tow truck dropped off my truck and Oscar went back in to get keys. They found the issue and fixed in two days at a great price. I'm grateful to Oscar and Mark for helping me get on my way.
