Took my car to Elliot's for the first time as I'm looking for a new garage. Guess I have have to keep looking. Front brakes failed, ok. But $400+, just for the front, no way. I told them that I usually do my own brakes and would do the repair. As a result, someone in the garage must have been upset by that and torqued my lug nuts down so hard I need a 4' leverage bar to break them loose. Never use them again. You can go ahead take other customers to the cleaners.

Well, Elliot is a nice guy. For balancing motors a bit expensive, but it took him 6 months no call no text for us to have to give up all hope he was going to due the rest of the work he promised he could do on our car. We were more than patient with him. Would not recommend him for anything other than balance a motor but get ready to pay.

Car needed an inspection, oil change, and tire rotation. After recently moving to the Lancaster area, I decided to give Elliot's a whirl. Dropped off the car in the morning before opening hours, received a call not even an hour later stating everything was finished and I was given my final price. I stopped in after work to pick up the car, and asked how my brakes and tires were looking. The mechanic was happy to summarize the components and give me an estimate on the remaining life. All in all, I was charged $58 (used an inspection coupon). Everything was completed in a timely manner, mechanics were helpful and friendly, and most importantly, I was given a great price.

Bought a local flavor and went to get inspection. Wow unbelievable said I needed new rotors because there was rust on them. Took it home and set up appointment with them for a different day. Took it to two different inspection business, both of them said rotors were not needed. Took it back to him and he argued with me. I lost money in this deal because I had to take it to an honest place that passed inspection. I am writing this 3 years later and ready for this...... I still don't need rotors....hmmmmmm

I had been taking both of my cars to another garage and after a few visits I just lost trust in their repairs. I got a reference to check out Elliot's and it was the best decision I have made with cars. Elliot and his staff knows what they are doing, gets it done right and at a good price with no BS. I've started having all my family and friends go there and they are as impressed as I am. Bottom line, give them a call if you have any thoughts about your current shop and see the difference.

We recently relocated from Arizona and needed our cars inspected. Not having experience with local automotive garages, we kind of blindly choose Elliot's Auto Service and are so happy with our decision. We always kept up with car repairs but there is no inspection in Arizona so we weren't sure what to expect. In the past two years of dealing with Elliot, he has earned our trust and respect. Forgive me for so many words, but there are that many wonderful things I could say about Elliott, owner of Elliott's Auto Service. We have been getting our cars serviced by him for over 15 years; from inspections to replacing our transmission. Our Nissan Rogue needed repaired. After it was serviced, it continued making a noise. Even Lancaster Nissan could not diagnose the problem. Elliott refused to accept this. He said, "This is personal!" Working as late as 830pm, he and his crew eventually discovered it was a malfunctioning "Nissan" part. After convincing Lancaster Nissan to provide him with another new part and, making additional modifications, the problem was resolved to our satisfaction. What a professional, dedicated, sincere, thoughtful, and persistent man Elliot is. I would unequivocally endorse and recommend Elliot's Auto Service.

I have been dealing with Elliot for many years. He is always professional and a true gentleman. I had three vehicles that needed inspection by the end of August. Elliot scheduled each one a day apart. The last one was my wife's car. I brought it in on Thursday right before Labor Day weekend. That night Elliot called me and told me the car needed front tires and alignment. The next day the tires were delivered around 2:00. Now it was Friday his garaged was packed with customers cars they were trying to get done before the holiday weekend. Elliot promised me they would get her car done before they left the shop that night. At around 7:00 we got the call the car was ready. Most auto service centers would not have gone the extra mile to make sure my wife had her car for the weekend. Do yourself a favor stop in get to know Elliot you'll be glad you did. He and his crew are fair, honest and reliable.

Update 2019: This garage continues to exceed all of my expectations. The staff is always extremely accommodating, friendly and will try their best to work around our schedules as much as possible. They are a busy garage; as they should be, and they always go the extra mile to follow up when work is complete or to schedule your next appointment. You can feel confident bringing your car here, they will never steer you wrong! Original 2018: Good customer service. Honest. Reasonably priced.

This place is fishy. Do not waste your time or money. We have taken our cars here for a few years now. The draw was the cheap oil changes and inspection coupons they offer to get you in. First couple went off without a hitch and we were satisfied with the service. Then things changed... I brought my car in because my antifreeze was leaking and Elliot replaced the water pump. Over $800 later brought the car home and the antifreeze was completely empty again. Thankfully they towed it back to shop free of charge. Elliot said a hose came loose from the replacement which caused the leak. He fixed it free of charge. But no apology for the inconvenience or admitting the mistake. Well enough and we overlooked it... Then took my husband's other car for service and all of the sudden his water pump also needed to be replaced? Another $800. Coincidence? Who knows. Next I take my car in for an oil change. I use a coupon but they failed to tell me the coupon can only be used for standard oil change and that my car takes synthetic. So they put standard oil in my car...(even a quick lube place like valvoline would pay close attention to detail and bring that up with a customer. They look at your make/model and tell you what oil you need. Valvoline did that when I called. But Elliot's doesn't? They lack attention to detail and simply do not care) I bring the car home and a burnt rubber/ engine smell is coming through the vents. I call back and they tell me to bring it back in to look at it. Elliot said oil was all over some turbo part and they cleaned it up. That tells me they do a sloppy quick job on oil changes. I've changed my own oil many times and know it's a simple task to pour the oil directly in with a funnel to avoid spills. After picking my car up I realize my gas tank is completely empty. I KNOW it was not close to empty and there is now way they could have emptied it by just driving it around the block...fishy. Bring the car home and smell is gone but now my check engine light is on, my car makes an awful noise and the car vibrates when idling. I called back to let them know this and have gotten ZERO calls back. No returning my messages. No admitting fault for anything. Elliot's is dishonest and seems to hire sloppy mechanics. Having to take a car back multiple times after being service is NOT good service. I'll spare further details because you should get the picture by now. Take your car somewhere else. The cheap oil changes and inspections are NOT worth the heartache. Go elsewhere and save your sanity.

I had factory rims removed and custom rims installed using the same tires. When they removed the factory rims they ruined 3 of them. My plan was to sell them and they're now worthless. When I went in to complain the owner told me that it was road rash and not their fault. I just bought the car 5 months ago from a reputable dealership (Miracle). They're not going to sell me a car with rims that have road rash and if I did it the tires would be scratched up, which they are not. I highly don't recommend.

After getting a coupon from localflavor i thought I was getting a deal. On the contrary you will get a huge bill... Mine was estimated at 400$. With rotors which they said are warped...not bad just warped and light bulbs...so I didn't pass inspections! Which in March were inspected to be at a 7 from Mr. Tire.The person before me too got an estimate and didn't pass inspection. I will be taking my car to my regular person... Do not fall for the coupons... Buyers beware. I will not be returning here.
