So I drove down from California to Eugene to visit and my car started to act really weird and it was a Saturday so a lot of places were closed. There was one place I went to first, I won't name names but they automatically told me no, they were short handed and there wasn't going to be anyone to look at my car till Wednesday so I kept searching while sitting in a parking lot.. then Emerald Performance came up and I gave it a shot and called them. They were super nice and got back to me as soon as they could, they came out to me instead of me having to tow my vehicle to them! I thought this was super nice and they did the diagnostic reading for free as well, this never happens in California so I was super surprised. They did have to wait for parts they ordered but as soon as they got them the mechanic drove back out to me and got my car fixed in under 20 minutes! They go out of their way for people even of they don't know you, they are definitely a place I'd recommend going to! My car is now running smooth and better then ever before 💗 thank you to the receptionist and mechanic for being open and honest about the whole process and going out of your way to help me out, and not to mention the price was very reasonable 😀 thank you guys again, your the BEST!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. I've dealt with a lot of mechanics and this was the absolute worst. Don't ever take your vehicle here!!! I contacted Emerald Performance on July 4th after my vehicle overheated and leaked radiator fluid. My van was towed to their shop the same day. On July 5th they called me to tell me the repairs had been completed, which was a surprise to me because they had not called with a quote and asked for authorization before completing the repairs. On July 6th I used my debit card to pay Emerald Performance $127 for repair of a radiator hose. At pickup I noticed that the arm rest of the drivers seat had been twisted backwards, and I could not get it to pull forward. I asked them for help, and when the mechanic tried to correct it, broke the armrest off of the seat. He then denied that he had touched it and did not offer any repair. The next day after my vehicle had been parked for some time, it had leaked all radiator fluid onto the driveway. I contacted Emerald Performance and let them know that their repair had not been adequate. Initially they reassured me that they would guarantee their work, and that they would come out to me the next morning. The next morning I messaged them and called with no responses, until 12:48 pm when I was told through text message they had a family emergency, but would be able to receive the vehicle then. I immediately called the shop to set up the arrival, but I was then told verbally that there were no mechanics available that day. The woman named Marianne who took my call said she would call another mechanic and get right back to me. I made it clear to them that I needed the repair done ASAP. I never got a call back. I took my vehicle to a different repair shop and paid $160 to get the same radiator hose fixed properly. On July 11th I went back to Emerald Performance to ask for a refund. The mechanic had a very emotional reaction, and accused me of attacking him. I was told that the only way I could get a refund was for them to make an insurance claim. I asked them to please begin that process. I sent them documents from the other mechanic shop as they requested, but I never heard back or had any follow up. The office manager, Marianne, tried to argue with me that they had offered to receive the vehicle and I had chosen not to, but the truth was that she had told me there was no mechanic available and did not return my call. When I asked her why she didn't return my call her response was that I am not her only customer. Our last contact was on July 11th when I sent them the invoice from the other mechanic so they could file an insurance claim. I did tell them that if I didn't hear back in a timely manner I would dispute the charges with my bank. (This is a copy of the letter I wrote to my bank about this interaction)

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE!!!! Our car was first misdiagnosed to begin. They told us it was ready for pickup but STILL sounded like it should NOT be driven. But we did just to get it out of there only for the real issue to surface. We bought all the parts that they told us that was needed and again dropped our car off. This was in February by the way and still to this day almost August and still our car is not fixed. They have not worked on it. There’s zero communication, no updates. Try to get a callback from the owner but never happens because he is always OUT OF TOWN. Going to be reporting them and taking to small claims court. If they ACTUALLY did any work on the car and were commutative on the progress and solutions on what needed to be done we would have complied and paid the bill after it was done….however it has not been that experience what so ever. We keep checking in on the progress and nobody has a clue not even the poor new shop manager that has to deal with all of cars still there that still need to be worked on….one currently for 8 months??? Whelp we are at 6. We are not at fault. You did the simple jobs great but told us we needed to get a Cadillac converter so we did, but that wasn’t actually the problem because once replaced and when we went to go get it, the car still sounded like complete and utter crap and should have never been driven off the lot. We bought even more parts to have the engine rebuilt but they still have not completed the job. If it needs a crate motor instead then you NEED TO COMMUNICATE THAT!!! But we have gotten NOTHING!!!

The staff was extremely rude and dismissive from the moment I walked in. Instead of explaining things clearly, they talked over me and acted annoyed when I asked questions. Customer service is clearly not a priority here.

Truly Exceptional – Treated My Son Like Family My son’s car broke down and was towed to Emerald Performance over a holiday weekend with a failed water pump. I live 1,000 miles away, so I couldn’t be there — but this family-run shop went above and beyond. They stayed open late, kept him informed, offered him pizza while he waited, and treated him with honesty and kindness. He’s been to other shops before, but never received care like this. The repair was quick, fairly priced, and professionally done. Knowing he was in such good hands meant the world to me as a parent. We’re both incredibly grateful. Highly recommend Emerald Performance — not just for great service, but for genuinely good people

Emerald Performance is awesome. My water pump went kaput 200+ miles away from home at 5pm (on a Saturday) and they dropped everything to get a new part and get us back on the road by 7pm same day. Good honest work was performed and everything was communicated clearly. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a good experience getting my car fixed up, and I consider myself deeply lucky to have broken down so close to their shop. Do yourself a favor and go here instead of wherever else!

Very unprofessional and greedy. Staff is disrespectful and shows zero interest in doing the work properly. The lady there has a terrible attitude and clearly lacks experience. No attention to detail, no accountability, and no customer service skills. They rush jobs, don’t listen, and act like they’re doing you a favor instead of providing a paid service. Completely disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is awesome! I attempted to replace my headlights myself for my 2013 Juke, but was having a real hard time removing the old bulb. I called and Maryann answered and said they had availability today (Saturday) to help! I immediately drove there and they were able to replace both my headlights in about 30 minutes. She worked with me on the cost and it was such a great deal. HIGHLY recommend! They are one of the only, if not THE only, automotive places open on a weekend. (A holiday weekend at that!) I failed to get the mechanic's name who helped me, but he was really knowledgeable and kind. Will be back again when the need arises.

I can't say enough great things about Emerald Performance in Eugene, Oregon! We have a 2024 F350 Dually King Ranch and are hotshot drivers, and when we ran into issues with our front caliper, brake pads, and rotors, no one else could help. We had the OEM caliper from the dealership, but other places like Les Schwab, Firestone, and Goodyear wouldn’t do the work unless we bought the part from them. Even then, they couldn’t get the part for over a week and quoted us double what Emerald Performance did. Enter Maryann and Ken, the amazing owners of Emerald Performance. They went above and beyond, driving into the shop and staying late to help us get it done. Ken is super knowledgeable and incredibly experienced—he got everything done in just 3 hours, and it was perfect. They charged us fairly, and the level of service and care they provided was second to none. If you're looking for an honest, experienced, and customer-focused shop, look no further. I highly recommend Emerald Performance—these guys are the real deal!

I stuck with my family at the night with rear axel broke, I see the review and went there for repair. 1st they give me $1500 estimate to fix it. When they know I'm from California they made estimate $3000 next day. They said it's take 2 week , I booked a rental car and comeback California, after that they playing a game with me and said nead to change whole axel and send me $9000 estimate, I'm very upset then I talk to my friend who lived in eguean. I send him at the shop and let them know don't mess up. But they don't care they know I'm from California and hard to come there again and again. They took 2 and half month to fix my car. When I went there to took my car they again make extra money $2800 , I argue with them you give me estimate why you charge extra without my concern then they said it's ok give me $80 for gear oil. They're very greedy all of them. I paid them everything before start working I highly recommend don't go this place They're leaches.

Update: Yes, you are correct I haven't done business with you...... However, I have referred people to your business. Now due to her personal dealings with us I would not, nor will I refer people to you if as a business MaryAnn is associated to it. She agreed to do business with us then has ducked us now for months on end with out paying and without any communication which she agreed to. That is not only Dishonest but reflects poorly on her character. Anyone doing business with her does so at their own risk. Also, If she treats people coming to your business like she has and is treating us then you the Owner should be made aware. Which I've now done since you sent word to me that you are upset at my review. Thanks for at least reaching out. Ps. I revised your stars to reflect the communication.

Small family-owned auto shop. I really appreciate how they are open on the weekends. Took my car in for brake pad replacement. He was able to do it that same day. I was there a total of 3-4 hours. Got all 4 done for a reasonable price. I enjoyed my experience there and definitely recommend going there for your auto needs!

My car was hesitant in its ability to up shift. By the time you reached 30 MPH and above, the car started to drag with resistance. I thought it was a problem with my transmission. I was pleased to find it was a lesser problem, thanks to Ken. He found it was instead a Wheel Bearing Hub. He charged a fair price. Everyone at the shop was friendly and helpful. He was like a car whisper when we took test drove my car to let him feel for himself what I was explaining. He spotted the problem by sound and resistance. He felt it dragging from the back passenger side. He also help to alert me of my lower control arm and bushings going out on my front passenger side. Life saver literally.

The people here were so so helpful and kind, I couldn’t recommend enough! Here was my personal experience: My card broke down on the way home from work, and I needed a tow to a mechanic. The tow took forever so I needed to go somewhere open late. I called emerald performance since it said they were open until 10. I was helped out by the nicest lady on the phone, I had to call back multiple times with extra questions and she was happy to help every time. We arrived eventually and turns out the place is technically only open until 6, but she answers her phone and helps folks who are stranded until 10! She helped me out and said she would have the car checked in the morning. She asked how I was going to get home and when I told her uber, she offered me a ride home so I wouldn’t have to pay for an uber! They fixed my car the next day! They also helped educate me about the car problems and how to avoid them in the future. I have never experienced such kindness, especially when I was so worried about my car, and it was so late. They helped take care of little things that just made dealing with everything easier. I will definitely be coming back!

I had an excellent experience working with Emerald Performance With a model year 2000 Mercury Sable, (18,123 miles on it). This car had been parked for many months and briefly started but wouldn’t stay running. I had the vehicle towed down to them and they quickly diagnosed that it was the fuel pump. Within a day or two I received a call from Ken, one of the owners, and told me that the car was complete and running like new. The price was extraordinarily competitive and I want to thank them. We have older cars and take good care of them and plan on having any future maintenance or repairs done with Emerald Performance.

I’m a DSP and I was working on Friday evening. My car completely died with a client with me. My car was absolutely dead, on a Friday evening after five. Emerald performance helped me try and figure out what was going on with the car, and were willing to be there Saturday to fix my car so I could be back at work on Monday. They were amazing, and honest! They did a really great job and they were absolutely the kindest. I really appreciate Emerald performance for helping me. I had an alternator issue and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. They were honest about which parts would cost more and less and gave me a lifetime warranty for my parts. I felt like they were completely honest and helped me try and get the best price. They were very, very kind and helpful. I would Recommend Emerald performance to anyone who needs a trustworthy excellent mechanic. They worked fast and I got my car back same day. Emerald Performance is absolutely professional and trustworthy. I felt really good after we left there and my car‘s been running great ever since. I highly recommend Emerald performance to anyone with car issues and looking for a trustworthy mechanic, they will give you a fair prices for parts and labor.
