I don’t write reviews too often (in fact, I believe this is my first business review ever). First things first, take note of this business’s location. There are many “Exhaust Systems Hawaii” on O’ahu, but this one is proudly ran independently. If you’re not dealing with Roland, you’re at the wrong shop. Roland’s passion for success is transparent through his work ethic and customer service — and it showed today. Saturday evening, my mustang’s exhaust pipes broke off randomly.. it was so obnoxiously loud, I couldn’t return home and risk the complaints of my neighbors. After informing Roland, and despite him spending time with his family in a whole different city, he offered to meet me and store my car in his warehouse and he worked on it first thing Monday morning. A few hours later, he called me to pick up the vehicle and sent me off with a smile! I am one of the few coordinators for a mustang-enthusiast group out here that welcomes over 100 members. I have referred them all to Roland and only Roland. These guys have my business for life!

Drove up hoping to buy an exhaust gasket earlier. Roland was super helpful, even though they didn’t have what I needed. He point me in the right direction to buy one island instead of having to order online. Highly recommend due to his quality service and help even when he could’ve just said they can’t help. Definitely coming here if I need any exhaust work done.

Roland was so helpful. He lifted our car and let us look at the muffler system so that we understood what was going on. He was totally transparent, walked us through the process and gave us options. He even removed a rattling heat shield at no cost. He is genuine, friendly, funny and an honest man. Great prices and great work. I highly recommend him. He is by far the best mechanic I have ever met.

Did a lot of research and watched a lot of videos to see all the different products out there to upgrade my exhaust system for my truck. After finding out the shipping costs to deliver to Hawaii, which is insane, I figured to just go local. And the first thing comes to mind is ESH. I came across this website and called the first number that I saw. Roland answered in a professional manner and stated that I called the Kailua shop. I intended to call the Waipahu shop because I live nearby, so Roland gladly gave me the Waipahu phone number and told me to ask for Jason. Before we hung up, Roland told me that if I had any questions, don't hesitate to call him back. I called the Waipahu shop and Jason answered. I asked what kind of products they had in stock and what an estimate cost of what I wanted. We had a quick less than 3 minutes conversation because he kept insisting that it's better if I stop by in person, without really answering any of my questions. So with that, I called Roland back and we had a good conversation and I had a better understanding of the work they do and the products they offered. After the call, I did more research and shopping around. I called an exhaust shop in Kalihi (which they are not affiliated with) and was disappointed with how that call went, so I made a final decision and made an appointment with Roland in Kailua. The drive to Kailua was kinda far but it was totally worth it. I parked outside the shop and walked into the front office where I was greeted by Roland on the other side of the counter. Within minutes, he drove my truck on the lift and put it up. I told him what I wanted and mentioned that I was on a budget so he explained and showed me 3 different options. Roland was very informative, and hands on. We both stood under my truck looking up at the exhaust system and he went step by step on what they were going to do and gave me cost estimates for each step. After this estimate appointment, I was very excited. The day finally came to upgrade my exhaust system. The job was done faster than what he stated it was going to take. I was charged a great price and within my budget compared to if I was to buy an exhaust system online. Finished product came out way better than I imagined and I'm very happy that I came to see Roland in Kailua.

Great shop, I went in without an appointment and they were willing to see me immediately. Roland let me come into the shop and explain to me exactly what he needed to do and how he'd do it. Went in to get an O2 sensor bung welded in for an air fuel ratio gauge. I brought them the pipe from my truck and provided the sensor bung to weld in. All they needed to to was drill a hole and weld which is a simple and quick job. They charged me 78 dollars. The weld quality was not the greatest. It doesn't leak which is great but the weld is very porous and rough and will begin to rust quickly. For 78 dollars I expect better quality welding or at least try to clean up your work with a wire brush and some exhaust paint.

I decided to bring my 2nd truck here. My first truck was a 2006 Gmc Canyon now I brought my 1994 Chevy Silverado K1500. My old Silverado already been here 25 years ago with the previous owner they installed flowmaster series 40 system.. 25 years later here again upgraded the same setup to Flowmaster Delta 40's, I kept my Y and Tail pipes just replaced the old rusted muffler. It sounds good, the new muffler sounds tuned like a corrected sound compared to my old rusted 25 year old flowmaster muffler. Pricey compared to 25 years ago but I guess its worth keeping your old classic vehicles on the road and running good

Needed an exhaust leak fixed. Called, took it in, Roland gave me a price and I scheduled the fix. He was straight to the point and explained to me exactly what he was going to do. Took me under that car and showed me his plan. The fix was quick, a couple hours and I was out the door. I can't ask for anything else. Highly recommended, give Roland a ring!

Coming to this shop was a great experience. I sell luxury vehicles for a living and we are always very keen on the customer experience being great, and the business will come. Prior to coming in, I looked up the reviews and was surprised to see lots of good stuff. When I called, Roland picked up and scheduled an appointment with me to bring in my 2007 Trailblazer SS. Once I got there (Which I was 20 mins early because I thought it would be a longer drive) I was greeted and asked if I had the appointment. Once he was all ready for me (Which was about 5-10 mins before my appointment, so great job on that), he brought me in and went over the basics that most shops wouldn't. He showed me a graph with the volume levels shown of the mufflers he carries, and made sure I understand that a "Good sounding" exhaust is opinionated and explained to me how to make the most informed decision prior to choosing. Roland then brought me under my Trailblazer, as it was on the lift and marked what he would be doing and gave me options on how I wanted it done. While the guys were doing the installation, I had a few conversations with Roland. One of the things we discussed was that companies that sell parts online are just destroying locally owned businesses because they sell things so cheap. What they do at this store is very fairly prices and I must say I left happy. Please remember that these locally owned businesses need the community, and it is worth it. No matter how cheap you may be able to get your part online and install it yourself, that can't replace the welcoming and exciting experience you can get at a good old locally owned shop like this. From now on, anyone who asks me about a good shop for exhaust needs, they will be referred here where I know I can trust them.

Their work is phenomenal and the team there has the personalities to match the good work they do. Not only that, but their prices are extremely reasonable. Exhaust System Hawaii (Kailua) is very responsive, professional, and efficient. Hard to find these days but this is an old fashion, honest shop, won't charge you for something you don't need or upsell in anyway. I called a little after they opened to explain my situation on a potential exhaust leak w/ smell in the cabin. Roland was able to schedule me for an 11:00am inspection, same day (during Christmas week, WOW). No wait time when I got there. He was very knowledgeable and showed me my exhaust system underneath the car while searching for the leak. I appreciate his patience and explanation. Would return here for future work.
