Today was my first time ever coming to this facility for an oil change what drew my attention was the express oil change And also the fact that I can get a tire rotation. I was there for at least an hour unfortunately,I unfortunately will not be returning due to the fact I paid $97 for a full synthetic oil change and everything on the service checklist wasn’t checked off. First, he mentioned my car had leaks, which I never heard before on my five-year-old car that never had issues Prior to coming to this place, Second, there were things that were not checked off on the service checklist, and I asked about it those things where the coolant reservoir check, air filter check and the transmission fluid check. it seemed like my servicer didn’t want to check it and then he asked me if If I want him to check those things and I said yes, he came back and let me know that something was missing on my car to where he wasn’t able to check it Like a dipstick. ( I’m a 28 yo female and no car expert so I’d expect the professional to extra resources to still be able to provide the service I’ve came for) I told him not to worry about it because at this point, it is going on an hour plus that I’ve been sitting there. I also left without getting a tire rotation because they let me know that it would possibly be another 30 minute wait. I honestly wanted to get out of there. I left feeling a little bit of regret leaving here and immediately went to look at reviews. I pray nothing crazy happens to my car, but I just thought I’d share my thoughts in my experience.

I usually change my own oil, but I was busy so I had my oil changed here. When I got home I looked under my vehicle and saw that the skid plate cover had been left off. I called and was told I could come back and they would look for the cover. I asked them to look for the cover before I drove back, but they would not look for it. The gas and lost work time for me to return was more than the cost of a new cover so I just ordered a new one. The technician said the cover may have fallen off on its own. I have changed my own oil for 170k miles on this vehicle and all four cover bolts have always held tight, there is no way it just fell off.

If you ever need an oil change or routine maintenance on your vehicle, I strongly recommend this location. They are efficient, friendly and reasonably priced. My technician was Mike and he immediately identified a problem and within 15 minutes, had the issue corrected. This is my go to place for routine maintenance and I couldn't recommend a better location

This is MY 5th year in a row with Express Oil Change and LAST YEAR COMING HERE EVER AGAIN. I walked in December 22, 2025 & asked for an oil change with my own filter and oil. The man with white/grey facial hair & beard quoted me $41 in the front office, they did the service and everything went perfect. The man that worked on it treated me just fine and gently as a Black WOMAN. But at the END OF THE DAY, not in the very beginning, another younger black man aka “a hood technician” that was eating food the whole time and NEVER worked on my car at all came to me with a higher price of $42.98 acting extra aggressive and manipulative about the price increase. I told him No way, I stuck to $41 and I DID NOT pay them $42.98. I had to argue him back down to the original price of $41 from the grey facial hair man in the very beginning when last year, 2024, it was $40. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THEM FOR YOUR OIL CHANGE. He insisted it’s due to taxes when they should have said that IN THE VERY BEGINNING. I AM NOT NEW TO THIS BUSINESS AT ALL!! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY AND NOT YOU, AS A PERSON!!! THEY ACTED HORRIBLE ABOUT MONEY ONLY, Not the service of my vehicle, as if I would submit. HELL NO! Do not pay these black men extra like they want you to because they are guilty. They are not innocent. I am as a customer! P.S. Right after this worthless experience, I went online to see what other customers had to say about this location and I see they said they were inconsistent with pricing and aggressive with attempts to sell. Obviously, I am not the only one. This is unacceptable and I will not be returning ever again.

They have big sign saying 10 min oil change. I waited more than 30 mins before even getting in the dock but then assumed they would go quick. But it took them about 40 mins before even to change my oil and it was really just because they were moving slow. They could have done it in 10 mins if they wanted to. Also, they initially told me it would be $57 but it came out to $70 after the fees they added on, and that was just for conventional oil.

I came in for an oil change on January 26th. On February 13th, I noticed my vehicle was leaking oil. I am aware that my oil pan is stripped, and as a temporary solution, two washers had been added to the drain bolt to help prevent leaking. Without consulting me or obtaining my authorization, a decision was made to remove one of the washers. When I addressed this with the service technician, I was told they would not replace it because it was “wrong.” Whether it was considered correct or not is beside the point that decision should not have been made without communicating with me first. As the customer, I expect to be informed and given the opportunity to approve or decline any changes to my vehicle, especially when I am already aware of an existing issue and using a temporary solution. I value transparency and communication, and unfortunately, that did not happen in this situation.

This review is long overdue. I moved to Atlanta from NYC at the end of 2021, and since then, the only people who have serviced my car have been the team at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers (Howell Mill Rd location). As a woman, it’s easy to worry that mechanics might try to take advantage of you, especially when you come in alone. I actually made it a point to bring my car by myself every time because I wanted to see whether this location operated with integrity and treated customers fairly. It’s now 2026, and I can honestly say I’ve had nothing but great experiences. Al, Karl, James, and the entire team have taken excellent care of me and my 2015 Honda Accord Coupe. They’re professional, consistent, and trustworthy. On top of that, they take the time to explain what’s going on, what to expect, how to avoid getting overcharged elsewhere, and even give helpful advice about future car purchases. I truly respect the team here and I recommend this location to anyone looking for honest, reliable service.
