My van was making a mystery noise. I had already taken it to 3 different reputable mechanics in town, and spent over $2,000 in repairs, yet it was still making the noise!!!! JD's was the 4th shop I took it to, but it should have been the 1st! He took it for a test drive and immediately identified the noise as coming from the rear brake pads. He fixed it the same day and was very fairly priced. Thanks JD and crew!

Our neighbor recommended this place to us when our car started making a horrible grinding noise, as a woman I usually get treated like crap at most shops but not here!! They treated me just like any other person and were super respectful and professional they got my car in super quick and were open and honest about the repairs needed and what could wait. Evidentially, "O"rings only last 6 months and then need to be replaced! This means you have to get an oil change ever 6 months so your car doesn't leak oil all over the place! This is regardless of how many miles you drive a car. I did not know "O"rings were so delicate.

Fairway Auto Repair will be my go to auto repair shop as long as I live in this area. I took my car to the Honda dealership. They wanted $100 to look at my car and then $4,100 to "fix" what was wrong with my car. I called multiple mechanics in the area and they also wanted money to just look at my car to diagnose it. I brought it to Fairway and within 10 mins they diagnosed and fixed my issue. IT WAS A LOOSE BOLT. They were prepared to let me leave with my issue fixed for free. When I asked how much it would cost for them to do the same work the Honda dealership was going to do (it was preventative maintenance), they quoted me just under $700. I honestly felt like I was robbing them. Here's the kicker, I had work later that day and they did all the work on my car within 4 hours. They are worth every penny and then some (coming a federal worker during a government shutdown).

By far the best mechanic in KC area! Not only does JD know his stuff but he’s actually honest about what needs to be done and gives you a fair price! Both mine and my wife’s car has been serviced here. There was even a time where he couldn’t fix something and gave an awesome recommendation to a place that could. Don’t go anywhere else, fair way is in fact the way!
