Mind you I don’t know anything about cars but I feel like they gave the best customer service ever. They were super nice. Omg I am just thrilled ! Not only did they asses my vehicle timely they were straight forward and affordable. After they told me I needed to replace the struts the price and time frame to be finished was just amazingly perfect same day service . It is rare to find a group of mechanics that you can completely trust! This is literally the only shop I will go to. I don't even live close by, but I drive both my vehicles there any time I need repairs. They have never done unnecessary repairs or overcharged me. This business operates with wicked, dishonest, manipulative approach. My experience shows lies, cover-ups, poor customer service and they cannot diagnose mechanical problems properly. May God’s judgment and wrath fall on this place and all participants involved with their corrupt behavior until they make their wrongs right. I don't care how their appear here in google Raymond Bendert became aggressive, defensive, rude and combative with me. Instead of professionalism, I was told to “get out” simply for holding them accountable and asking questions for their dishonesty, manipulative tactics, disrespect, and inconsistent diagnoses. I have it recorded. I discovered Family AutoCare & Repair in March 2025 through a gentleman who works at Discount Tires in McKinney when I went to get new tires regarding front-end work that was eating the inside of my tires. March 25, 2025 — I dropped my car off early morning for them to inspect why the inside of my tires was being eaten. They kept the car for ~7 hours. March 25, 2025 — Jack Adoklye (manager) called and said the car was leaking power steering fluid from the rack-and-pinion and I will need a new rack and pinion assembly; He did not mention any oil leaks. I asked specifically about oil leaks and was told no oil leaks. Their initial estimate for parts & labor (front control arm, 4-wheel alignment, front struts/shocks, taxes & fees) came to $1,971.31. I declined because it was beyond my budget. They later quoted me $1,411.32 and brought it down to $1,206.88 for the rack and pinion assembly they discovered. April 2, 2025 — They performed a wheel alignment and oil change after front-end work was completed by one of the mechanics who have been dealing with for years whose price was much lower in Cedar Hill, TX who understand I will be transitioning out the car so it’s no need to put all this money into the car while I am going through life transition. The next day I reported a noise; one of their mechanics from Kenya rode with me and heard it. We drove by my place not far from their shop and I pointed out spots that looked like oil on the ground where I had my car parked but I was told again by Jack Adoklye (manager) that I had no oil leaks. 4 Months later (after surgery/recovery time when the car was rarely driven but parked since my last visit. I returned because someone agreed to assist financially with mt car while I am recovering from a surgery . I dropped the car off early on August 18, 2025, because I wanted a re-inspection of the leaks. I wanted to know how many leaks I have, what’s leaking, and where it’s coming from. I wanted them to get down to the bottom of the problem because from May 2024 - January 15, 2025, I had 3 mechanics tell me that I had oil leaks and a power steering leak but Family AutoCare & Repairs is only saying I have a power steering leak. August 18, 2025 — They gave me a pre-multi-point inspection sheet that allegedly noted the leaks (power steering from the rack pinion, and now they have finally discovered an oil leak from the oil pan only). Raymond Bendert was the one who told me I had an oil leak from the oil pan, claiming it started within the 4 months from my last visit — this contradicts the May 2024 - January 15, 2025 mechanics who had already identified oil leaks from the oil pan and rear main seal. If these mechanics were able to discover the source area of the oil leaks from two different places and the power steering leak way before me coming in contact with this shop so why is he trying to tell it just started when the car was park. August 26, 2025 — I authorized the agreed services for rack pinion assembly, wheel alignment, oil change, and new oil pan because I took them at their word that’s all the leaks. So I am expecting there shouldn’t be any more spots on the ground after I get my car from them. August 28, 2025, at 9:43 AM — I picked the car up and they handed me a post multi-point inspection sheet that did not indicate any more leaks. I am so grateful that we came across Family Auto Care after having a horrible situation with another repair shop. The staff was courteous and they worked with my insurance repair coverage. They definitely know what they're doing. It has taken me time to find a genuine place that isn't trying to scam me. They are just trying to fix vehicles. Last year I went to fix three different things, and I'm back today to get my baby checked out again. My van is very important to my family and I, so being able to find a place where quality meets genuine work, is fantastic! They give free diagnosis, and will print off the work for you and explain in detail what's most important to least important for your car. They don't try to up-sell you for anything either. Something I can appreciate.

Helpful! We took my husband’s truck here. I had seen a review here on Google saying they do free diagnosis, but they do not. Had we known that, we would’ve brought the vehicle elsewhere and saved the $100... Either way, they were able to diagnose and let us know it was not an urgent fix.

I've been a customer of Family autocare for 4 years, and the service I received each and every time for my cars was a perfect reminder of why I keep coming back. A trustworthy mechanic is hard to find, but Raymond and his team are truly phenomenal.they saved me a few times even when my car broke down on another side of town. This shop saved me 7k. Literally. Let me explain. My wife and I have a Toyota RAV4 that we've had for sometime. We noticed since we moved to TX that the steering was having issues and it would constantly stall when gas applied. After two months it was time to finally get checked out. We took it to the "Other guys" across town in Frisco and we went to have them test our car and see what the issue was. After all was said and done, the "Other guys" and crew said we had complete Transmission failure and needed a 7.5K new transmission replacement. We were in utter shock and a loss for words. To put insult to injury, the dude then said he would like to "buy" our car for his family member. We were certainly suspicious. We then decided to get a second opinion with the AMAZING crew at Family Auto Care, in Mckinney. They did a check on the car and did see the transmission was having issues, but wanted to see if it just needed to be simply serviced. We worked with the amazing Miss Alyssa and Jack at the front and decided to leave the car on the weekend. We got it checked out and were waiting for their team to do their work. That next Monday when they were able to get to the car, after my approval for the transmission service, it was done. I got the call from miss Alyssa and she said the car is working PERFECTLY! My wife and I ran down to the shop to pick up our car and we were literately in TEARS. Total cost of all the services, including the transmission check and the services to replace some of the older parts of the transmission pan- $510! Our car was fixed and saved from the "Other guys" terrible unethical practices and was fixed by people who know what the heck they are doing! I WHOLE hearty have to recommend this place. The service, the people and the atmosphere is great here. I cannot say enough of the honestly and hard work the people who work here bring to their work. I will not not take my car anywhere else next time for something like this. These are wonderful people to work with and at very generous prices compared to the "Other guys" of the world. So thankful to God for the amazing people who have taken care of us and literally saved us 7k for a service transmission. Y'all are the BEST!!
