I had an 11:30 appointment for an oil change over my lunch hour. After an hour I got up to walk around and saw my car in the parking lot. When I asked if it was done, I was informed it hadn’t been worked on yet. An hour past my appointment and ZERO communication of running behind schedule. Horrible customer service, communication and Zero apologies for wasting my time. I left and will not be back.

I trust this Firestone because of what great work they did so much that I took my Mazda there for its first oil change.

I came in with the shop on a Friday night with only an hour left in their day with an emergency- a nail in my tire while it was snowing outside. They took on the job, even being totally full, stayed late to help me, were so kind, polite, courteous, and overall a bright spot during a crappy time. They have my business for life. I cannot thank these two gentlemen enough for their kindness in a really rough time.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this Firestone location. About a month ago, I brought my car in because the air conditioning wasn’t working. They said they checked it, recharged it, and also recommended replacing a hose from a completely different system that they claimed was cracking. I trusted their advice and agreed to the repair, which cost me around $600. Now, just one month later, the air conditioning stopped working again. When I brought it back, they told me they “found a leak” in another hose from the A/C system — something they should have identified and addressed the first time when I brought the car in for the same exact problem. Instead, they are asking me to pay another $400 for a new repair. This feels like poor diagnostic work and upselling unnecessary repairs. If they had properly inspected the A/C system during my first visit, the issue should have been fixed then. Instead, I’ve spent over $600 and still don’t have a working air conditioner, and now they want more money. I do not recommend this location. Customers should be able to trust mechanics to correctly diagnose and fix the problem they bring their car in for — not be charged repeatedly for incomplete or misleading repairs.

I made the mistake of allowing them to work on my brakes a year and a half ago. Had issues ever since they worked on those brakes and nothing was ever done about it. Brakes started to grind and took it back to them and I was informed by the store manager my Calipers and hoses were going bad. Quoted me 1300 dollars. I went and got other quotes only to be told by two other auto shops it was the brakes and rotors were bad and that firestone informed me they were fine. I called the store to make things right only to be told by the store manager they never mentioned anything about my calipers. Don't fall for there scam. Only allow them to work on your tires. With my father working for them for over 20 years in there factory and retiring a firestone employee this was the treatment we have received. I can only imagine to what they do to other customers.

This location is the only place I go to. It's not that I have had bad experiences elsewhere, it's just that I only trust Scott. He has helped me whenever I have needed it throughout the years and he has yet again. Scott and his team are very honest and extremely fair with their pricing. They definitely value their customers. No frills, just honesty and skilled work. When everything seems to be going wrong, at least you can trust this location to help guide you to a more secured future.

We had an emergency trip out of town, but couldn’t leave until our truck was serviced. It was late in the day and we knew finding an auto store open might be a problem. When we walked into Firestone it was near closing time yet they did not hesitate to work us in. All of the employees were so kind and went out of their way to make sure our truck was safe and ready for the road. They were quick, efficient and knowing we were headed for a trip went above and beyond to make sure the vehicle would be safe. With employees like like this, they absolutely have our business..

I recently had my vehicle serviced at Firestone Complete Auto Care location in Des Moines Iowa. After leaving, I discovered that a swastika symbol had been drawn on the inside of my windshield directly next to the Firestone service sticker placed during my visit. This symbol was absolutely not on my vehicle before my appointment. Finding something like that on my car was shocking and completely unacceptable. I have already contacted Firestone corporate and expect management at this location to investigate what and WHY this happened.
