Had a flat and bought my car to the firestone in Bayonne NJ, Sorry if I spell his name wrong, but Ramu from this Firestone in SI was courteous and informed me about the warranty of my tires and was able to get me a new tire the next day. The warranty covered the tire. Just had to pay for installation and stuff. Good job.

Absolutely terrible experience with Firestone. I spent $2,000 getting my car “fixed,” only to bring it home and have even more problems starting it. My wife had asked right from the start if the issue could be the alternator, but they confidently said it wasn’t and that they had checked it. Fast forward a few days later — I had to bring the car back because it still wouldn’t start, and suddenly they tell me it *is* the alternator after all, and now it’s going to cost another $1,000! How do you miss something like that after charging me two grand? Either they didn’t check properly, or they just didn’t care. I feel completely ripped off. Their diagnostics are garbage, and their attitude isn’t much better. I’ll never take my car back there again, and I’d warn anyone else to think twice before trusting Firestone with their vehicle.

While we sat in the waiting area, their staff took care of my car. Arrived 3:45pm for a 4pm appt; my car didn’t even go up on the racks until 5:45p. 1.75 hours late to even take my car in. Then the rear cambers weren’t aligned and no reason nor recommendation was given. No even water to drink in the waiting rm unlike other places have a whole coffee bar. Personnel and the area v nice but will be trying another location with my lifetime alignment.

In all fairness I didn NOT have service here BUT I frantically called them at approximately 3:30 today to try to prevent getting a flat. I had a nail in my tire which is a super easy repair! The guy on the phone who sounded 1/2 asleep would not budge! He insisted I drop the car over night and they would fix 1st thing in the Am! Tire pressure was slowly leaking! Had to bring down the road to a spot that was just as busy if not more busy and my repair was done in 20 mins. I pretty much offered to pay double but they are not motivated by money nor care.

Went there on Wednesday for a routine inspection. When I got there they said it’s only $10 because of the newer car. I asked if I could pay. They said Nooooo not until we are done. My gut told me something wasn’t right. I went to breakfast right next door at the diner. Not even 10 mins into my breakfast I get a call that they found a screw in my tire and it was in the sidewall and I would need a brand new tire. So now my $10 inspection just became $300. I threw my food away and walked over and asked. What are the odds that a tire company at found something wrong with my tire and i needed a new tire The worker said I know it seems suspicious but that’s what they found. I went and looked at the tire which did have a screw in it but when wet it didn’t bubble at all. So they tried to play me. They probably didn’t like tha the job would only cost $10 so they found something else. I told them to give me my keys and let me get out of there that I’d have someone to lose fix the tire. Which by the way isn’t even leaking. The little screw was taken out and the tire is perfect. You should try to screw your customers the next time they come in for service. That was absolutely horrible. I will never ever go back there and I won’t ever recommend them to anyone.

Took my vehicle in for a simple tune-up and tire sensors. We waited 5 hours for the vehicle to be finished. Drove the vehicle out and immediately noticed it was shaking and hesitating as if the tune-up had not been done. We called the shop and were told bring it right back because timing needed to be adjusted. We couldn't bring it right back so the store manager said bring it back at 7a.m. the next day. Brought it back and was told no technician was available until 9 a.m. Waited 2 hours. Was told that the wrong plugs were put in. Another 2 hour wait after the technician came. Left with car still hesitating and shaking as it stood still. Burning gas like crazy. The vehicle was in worse condition than before we brought it in. The next day we Took it to a friend who is a mechanic and was told the cover for the wires for the coils was missing and parts were not installed for the tune-up that should have been installed. BTW, we paid $1300. Needless to say, we will never return. Filed a complaint with corporate. Take your car there at your own risk.

Completely messed up my alignment for my 2004 Tahoe. First time i went to pick up my vehicle they showed me the alignment sheet and the Camber was not in spec. When i brought it to their attention they said that it was good and it drove straight. When i pulled off the lot i immediately noticed the truck pulling to the left. i drove the truck straight back and explained to them what was going on. They had a tech get in the truck with me and he confirmed that the truck was still pulling to the left. I agreed to leave the truck overnight so they could fix the alignment. The next morning i went to pick it up and the sheet showed the same camber out of alignment. The service advisor assured me that the truck drove straight and that it only pulled to the left on one road because of a cup in the road but on the other roads it was fine. He then said to me "If you know anything about cars you would know alignments are just measurements, and if there is a problem it would require a front end check". After that i said to him well isnt the first step of doing an alignment to do a front end check because who would do an alignment on worn/ broken components. He didnt like that very much. I gave it a week of driving around and long and behold it wasnt just that one road that was cupped, it pulled to the left on all the roads. I bring it back for the third time after doing some research of my own and reading on different forums. It turns out that they went on the low end of the specification for the right "toe" and the high end of the specification for the left "toe", which this year Tahoe does not like. I explain this to him on my third time back, he completely disregards me and says to come back in an hour. When i come back the service manager said the car drives straight but we are giving you back your money. I said i dont want my money back i just wanted my car to drive straight, they refund me anyway, I look at the alignment report and everything is completely out of wack. I go to drive my car and need to keep my steering wheel half turned to drive the car straight. So now i really pissed because now i deem the car not roadworthy. I go back and explain that its not road worthy and they have a technician drive the car with me in it. He states that the car needs another alignment. so now i am really pissed off and tell them they refunded me my money just so they can say its not their problem anymore but you guys gave me a truck thats not drive-able. I refuse to go back to them for anything ever again. (The reason for the alignment was because i just replaced the upper control arms and the outer tie rod ends.) Its a real shame how down the tubes this location has gone.

I had a fantastic experience here. I had an emissions system issue and the workers here explained to me the step approach they take so that I am not overpaying for work I don’t need. I really appreciated this, not only was the work on the car done well but the service was great the team kept in touch with me and waited for me to give them the okay with every service. If I could give 0 stars I would….Dropped of 7 rims and and 5 tires to mount and balance for my e39. I specifically let the manager that was there on Friday evening that the two rims that had tires on them were going to be given to my son for his e39 the rims only as I needed the tires for my car. Saturday afternoon I showed up as they stated of the phone should be ready in about an hour. Look at the two wheels that were for my son and they were damaged on the lips. Let the manager know and he stated that’s how they came in. I let him know that I did not give him the 2 rims that were for my son like that. The manager stated his wheel mounting machine would not cause that damage then proceeded to ask me how much was I paying for the service then asked me how much I paid to get me 5 wheels refinished that they were working on. The manager ask me what would he want me to do. I told him you should know you’re the manager at this place. He proceeded to tell me he knew this was going to happen . I replied if that was the case you should have never providing me with the service and I could have gone else where. Let the manager know I have pictures and a video of wheels and if he wanted to see it he said no.Was told by some one at the place that Firestone is not the best place to have the wheel I have installed. If I would have known that I would have gone elsewhere. They also damaged the inner barrels of my refinished powered coated wheel. Aluminum wheels will start corroding if the finsh is compromised. I didn’t let the manager know as I was upset and just wanted to get my wheels a leave the shop. Pictures speak for themselves. The last two pictures are of the 2 wheels in perfect condition before they damaged them that were going to be given to my son. I have been a customer at Firestone since the late 90s but now will go elsewhere for my automotive needs….
