As long as you are able to pay fast, this guy repairs things fast, are always repaired right the first time & although he's not cheap, thank goodness the cost is reasonable & less expensive than most other mechanics.

One reliable mechanic shop I would recommend to anyone I had got a car out of a lot at automax and not even a week later transmission goes out and etc and I took it to Carlos and he had a new transmission and everything else it need done in 2 days now my car is running like brand new if you want the same don't hesitate and take your car in and by the time you now it your car will be running in no time

First Call Automotive or the one man show Cordell Salter worked on my car and told me the work would be done in 2 days. After 2 weeks of literally begging for my vehicle it was ready. The car shook really bad when I picked it up . Mr. Salter said I needed a wheel alignment. Took it to another shop where they found that the motor was missing. I called Mr Salter and informed him of his actions. He just laughed and said he had the mount at the shop if we needed it. This place is a joke !!!! You should think twice about using this place

It's a little bit cheaper than other places. I don't blame the owners for an issue I had with them, but an employee they fired messed up pretty bad on my car on a count of not doing anything and being charged for it. They are a decent place on quality of work with my past issues needed done.

Nope never trust shaddy mechanics that lie to my face. Don't trust these guys they tell you they buy new parts but they paint them, bunch of bsers with the excuse they give you as to why it's painted. Cordel especially is the biggest bser of all the good reviews on here are probably friends but the integrity of your buisness is based on facts and mine are facts overcharged , kept vehicle for weeks on end with sorry excuses one after another. Until I made it a point to show up in person and bring attorneys into light of it all. And even after it was said and done vehicle was never right. Just went ahead and sold it no thanks to them . Worthless play mechanics because they are not real.ones.

My alternator went out while on family vacation in July. It happened on a Saturday and most places were closed. I called these guys because of some of the reviews i had read and I'm glad i did! I can't say enough about Cordell and Carlos. They treated me like family and had me back on the road that day. They aren't on the "main drag", but the few extra miles you drive are worth it. Thanks again guys. If I'm in Corpus again I'll have to stop by!

First Call should be your last resort, as it was mine. I had the misfortune of having to have my car repaired here because it died in the garage when I brought my car in to have it checked out. I was not offered all part availablity options available to me, rather just the most expensive options. I only paid $100 less for a battery because I insisted that they look elsewhere. I was charged $71 to install a battery. At $90/hour, it hardly took 45 minutes to complete that task. I know this because I watched the installation take place. And I only paid the $71 to install a battery because that was part of the cost of getting my dead car out of there. It's unfortunate that some mechanics can't see the value in a lifetime customer. If First Call were to contact my normal mechanic, they would learn that their integrity and honesty has earned them my business and thousands of dollars over the last 19 years. If I ever need a mechanic in Corpus Christi, First Call will not be getting a call from me.

First Call Automotive turned my family’s horrible situation into a wonderful outcome. Our car started to stall at red lights and/or driving at low speeds which is not only annoying and embarrassing but very dangerous. With only one vehicle in my family we couldn’t afford to be without a working vehicle especially having three children. Both of these fine gentlemen met me at First Call Automotive even before opening for the day. They listened intently as I described the issues my vehicle was having and got my vehicle in right away to diagnose the problem at no charge. Cordell and Carlos ensured we had our vehicle up and running in less than one day! I highly recommend First Call Automotive to everyone. Carlos and Cordell and their staff made me feel like a member of the family, and it’s because of that and the top level service I was provided, First Call Automotive will always get my service!

I will definitely use them again in the future, and I highly recommended this shop to all my friends & family without any hesitation! I was treated with dignity & respect.. Sometimes as a woman, its hard to get honesty from auto shops, simply because there are bad people out there that like to take advantage. I'm very pleased with the service I received. My fuel pump burned out and the mechanic worked with me, took me every step of the way and explained to me everything he was doing. He told me honest and fair prices about the parts and he found them for better pricing then buying outright the parts from the dealership themselves. They even accepted taking a part if we gave it to them to do our car and not many mechanics do that and like to take as much money as they can out of you. The day right after they received the part, the next day my vehicle was fixed! But it was an easy fix so everyone's vehicle may have a different story. They are out there and not easy to find, but I always think the best mechanics are! Thank you so much for your honest service and always answering calls and staying in contact with me, some mechanics you have to call to see what status your car is at! I really appreciate everything and will be coming back if ever my vehicle needs servicing! Edit: The next day my car stopped working and I tried to jump start it without any luck. I called the owner and he offered to come out free of charge! He came and looked at my battery and readjusted it. I didn't use my vehicle for near a month and he figured out the battery has been misplaced. He didn't charge me anything and didn't ask for anything in return. I've never had a mechanic work so well with me and make me feel secure I know my vehicle is in good hands. I can't thank this place enough!
