I went to freedom transmission twice. I was very satisfied with the work done on my car. The prices were good, owner has a very good attitude along with professionalism. I have been dealing with mechanics and never satisfied. I don't have to worry about that anymore. I am so grateful that I came across Freedom transmission and to know that it is owned by a good patriot. Thanks alot Clint!!!!!!

Amazing expertise and knowledge!! My car had a sensor going off and it completely died, I had no idea what the issue was and Clint was able to diagnose the issue in minutes. He replaced the part necessary in a timely fashion and for a reasonable price. In addition he let me know of other potential issues going on as a heads up so I could plan accordingly. Huge help! I would recommend this shop to everyone!!

My car was having difficulties shifting and I was so worried about a giant transmission repair, they had my car in within 2 days. Diagnostic took only an hour ( and is free if you get it repaired there), and came with pictures and a phone call about what possible options to fix the problem. Thus far , this is just what decent mechanics do; but what made this a 5 star experience is hiw patient and informative Clint was. I know SO little about cars, and mechanics have taken advantage of that in the past, dissmissing my questions and being overall condescending. Clint is the opposite of that, super down to Earth, explains things at your level, transparent and honest. 👍 It ended up being a minor repair of something a previous mechanic had messed up, fast and affordable repair. This place rocks, and I will be here for future issues! Thanks, guys!

I went to Freedom Transmissions because my 4Runner was stuck in 4 wheel drive and wouldn’t go back into 2. I stopped by and Clint was very knowledgeable and explained what could be the possible issue. He went to look at it and already had oh fixed when he returned. He did this all in the matter of minutes. Not only does he know what he is talking about he is very reasonable and willing to explain what’s going on and communicate with you the entire time.

I found this shop online and boy am I glad I did. I called Clint due to the fact I thought my 2017 Jeep had a transmission leak which was diagnosed from another place. He had an opening that day which was a relief as I am moving out of state and needed it done quickly. I was under the impression that in order to fix this alleged leak Clint would have to separate the transfer case from transmission. I dropped jeep off that morning and Clint gave me a ride back to work which was so helpful and convenient. I got a call from him later in the day stating that he did not think it was a transmission leak at all. It was an engine leak coming from the top of the motor by the oil galley. I went down to shop and he showed me exactly where it was leaking, and also put some time in to find out that this make and model is notorious for that particular leak. Although I only thought he worked on transmissions he told me he would be able to fix this leak as well as service the transmission, which was also needed. He completed the job in 2 days and the cost was absolutely reasonable and beyond fair. He made sure to stay in touch with me thru the entire repair and keep me updated, which is rare now days. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of repairs on their vehicles. It is rare to find a technician with the knowledge and the customer service he provided during this repair. Thank you Clint for an outstanding job and being a solid person!

After my last 10 years of mobile mechanics & shops with 2 ranches and half dozen trucks, i can finally put my stamp of approval on only 1 truthful, knowledgeable, amazingly patient & listens to what issues are,,,, shop, and Clint has done this at Freedom Transmission! He is NOT just a transmission pro, but he is a true all around mechanical educated mechanic. After a young boy (claiming mechanic) had dropped my Allison 1000 years ago, and supposed to only remove transfer case,,, a truck i owned from new, has never run right and A & F Trans, had put back together,,,, It did not take long for Clint to diagnose, and repair not only a transfer case, complete, for almost 1/2 any other shop, but my ignition was repaired, wiring to Allison repaired, all that goes into making that truck, that sat for 5 years, and a dozen other mechanics just saying i need a new TRANSMISSIOn!!! i knew better,,, This shop and owner is run with the best in Reno knowledge , fair pricing , timely , and business ethics you will ever find, and i am proof after dozens of posers. Thank you Freedom for regaining my confidence in mechanics!

Freedom Transmission is the epitome of honesty and transparency. Have known Clint for over 20 years now and we still like each other, so one of us is crazy. My truck would intermittently quit shifting, locked in 2nd gear, and he….. Fixed a 1996 gmc 4l80 in limp mode in 5 minutes a long time ago in a galaxy far away. Great transmission shop! Went in with what seemed to be a transmission leak, Clint verified the suspicion. He was able to get to it the next day and even recommended some issues the needed to be looked at in the future. If all goes well, I'll have it back before winter time so he can address those issues. Overall I'm satisfied with the workmanship, price and overall work ethic of this business. 10 out of 10 in my opinion!

My Fiance and I just got our jeep back from Clint and he is AMAZING!!!! I will forever tell people about how amazing this man and his business is. Honest, caring, and hard working are the best qualities in a mechanic and he has them all and then some. If you need work done on your transmission this is the place to go. Clint is awesome ! I came here because of his good reputation with the victory outreach church, I know alot of mechanic shops are quick to rip off a girl who doesn't know much about cars , but not this guy. He is honest and patient and let's you know if problems occur when he is working on your vehicle! I stumbled upon this auto repair shop through my coworkers. When I faced some car troubles, I reached out to the owner for help. He promptly responded and guided me through the process of scheduling an appointment. During my visit, he took my car for a comprehensive test drive. He patiently explained each aspect he examined and addressed every concern I had. His shop is well-equipped, and I appreciated his thoroughness in detailing everything he looked at. Surprisingly, the issues I had pointed out were quite minor. Since it wasn’t a major issue, the owner didn’t charge me for any work. This contrasts sharply with other places I’ve been to that charge for even the slightest repairs. This shop truly prioritizes helping its clients, unlike those that exploit every opportunity to make a profit.

My check engine light came on in my Audi and I scanned it myself and learned it was the turbo over-boost valve, which is a common problem on my model. I took my car to Freedom Transmission because I've heard so many good things about the shop. Clint, the owner, confirmed the diagnosis. We ordered the part, he charged me his cost for the part and had it repaired and running perfectly in a day or two. He charged me what I thought was a very fair price for his labor and expertise and I've never had an issue with it since. I highly recommend Clint at Freedom Transmission to everyone. I want to thank Clint for doing a great job on my 1999 F250 rebuilt transmission. Clint was honest and upfront with everything that was targeted to be completed. My 2017 Tahoe transmission quickly went out on me and I was in a bind! I stopped by to speak with the owner and was instantly assured that made the right choice with Clint at Freedom Transmission. Clint walked me through the entire process of my repair and was incredibly detailed and transparent about pricing, parts, time for repair etc. The new parts would be under warranty which was a relief to us in case anything should happen again. We received follow up calls when parts had been ordered, delivered and when we could pick up the vehicle after he completed programming and testing. I would highly recommend Clint to anyone looking for transmission services and would use his services again if we ever need transmission work on our other vehicles.

Clint is rare find in today's world. He is the owner and mechanic who did an excellent job replacing my transmission on a 06 Ram 2500 5.9 with the 48RE. He tells you straight up your issue and what it will take to repair the problem. He gets right on it and stands behind his work. He also was able to fix other issues like radiator leaks, the shift column and drive shaft at a very reasonable price. Thanks Clint. Anyone reading this do no hesitate to give Clint a call.

Not sure where to begin because I have never experienced 5 star service before. I was greeted at the door and my Audi was on the lift within five minutes. I was only there for transmission service but they took time to answer all my questions. Knowledgeable, and would highly recommend to anyone. Freedom transmission only gets five stars because six is not an option. Also, the the price was more than fair. Clint is someone you can trust.

Honesty, integrity, excellent quality repairs, unparalleled customer service and fair prices! A rare Gem indeed in Reno. Clint, the owner/mechanic puts the competition to shame with their con games. (Not enough space to list these experiences here.) He pulled the transmission and transfer case, serviced them, replaced the flex plate, pinion seal, starter, and coil pack and had it all buttoned up in just a few hours. This 2003 Ford F-150 now runs like a new one. Thank you for a job well done.
