I was having a bad experience with my previous car and was in need for a reasonable auto shop. I came across Gary at freestate auto , told him my issue and he checked it out. Instead of taking my money he was completely honest and let me know the vehicle I am trying to fix is truly not worth the money and the hassle of keeping the car up (it was that bad) but he'd do whatever I needed him to do. I honestly took what he said into consideration turns out he was right. I respect the fact that he was honest and told me the real deal instead of just taking my money knowing it was a waste! I have gotten another car since then, which is way more reliable and is on the road for the long haul. All thanks to Freestate auto ! Gary and his workers are my mechanics and will be as long as they are around. I highly recommend this business, I have sent alot of my friends their way and all have been satisfied and consider Gary their mechanic. THANKS DUDE !!!!

vere nice small local owned shop. They did a wonderfully job replacing my ehxaust manifolds on my 2013 ram 1500. They also fixed all my ehxaust leaks and installed a new muffler. They didn't use clamps it was welded all the way around with very nice clean welds. The owner is super nice and very helpful and doesn't try and over sell you on stuff you don't need. Highly recommend for your ehxaust work.

The people at this shop are very honest and good at what they do. My wife and I were searching for a new repair shop after moving to Frederick and after trying out several shops (with mixed results) we finally got a recommendation from a friend to come to Freestate. I couldn't be happier! The first time I came for an exhaust issue and saved $650 compared to the nearest quote! New Cat was far less expensive than the dealership and they have tons of integrity - they didn't need 2 sensors they ordered and I never would have known if they'd replaced them or not and they took them right off my bill. It’s a struggle to find a decent mechanics. One that doesn’t feel like they are trying to rip you off. This place is full of honest and caring people. I never once felt I was being talked into doing more work then Needed. They gave me realistic and fairly priced work that needed done. I recommend this shop to everyone in Frederick looking for a good mechanic. They will be my mechanic of choice for life now. I was sold when my brake light went out and a man ran out to replace it. I asked him how much I owed him? He said don’t worry about it you’re good to go no charge. This is a mechanic with integrity and I appreciate that a lot.
