I had traded with these guys for over 15 years....with few issues. Yesterday I brought an original part in from my chain saw and asked for a replacement part to match. It was about an hour before they were to close. They sold me the part and I went home to install it...but when I held it up to the original part ....it did not match. I guess I assumed they got it correct at the store. So, today at 8am I took the part back to exchange it for the correct one...and the manager told me they have a "no return or exchange policy". I asked for an exception...since I had brought them the correct (original ) part to start with and they handed me the wrong one. The manager was unmoved and she was not sympathetic at all. I will no longer trade with this company....EVER. They stole my $50 as far as I'm concerned. Mainland tool is a much more honest company as are most.

I second Mikes review. Was price Gouged around the same time and will never go back. They are making out like bandits when it’s under $ 20 to get an exchange at Home Depot! You should be charging what is being filled not a tank minimum. I would drive off island to fill before ever using you again. Now more then ever with that rude a$$ and unprofessional response to Mike ! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it………..

Nice people and convenient location for RV’rs to get propane fills. However, their prices are WAY too high. They do NOT charge but the pound or gallon, they charge by the tank. I had 2 of my 30lb tanks filled and both were completely empty. They only put in 12 gallons total (I looked at their gauge before {133.5} and after {145.7} to verify). They charged $30 each tank, so $60 total. That came out to $5.00 per gallon. Last time I filled at TSC about 3 weeks ago it was $3.29 per gallon! So, I paid easily $20 too much for the fill up. Also, when I got home and put my sensors on the tanks one shows 92% and the other shows 94% full. So, I didn’t even get a full fill…which jacks the price up too. I will be driving off island to get my propane in the future. Shame on me for not inquiring before hand and not planning better, but it won’t happen again!

3 stars because it's conveniently located on the island and the guys are usually polite and helpful. I am Not Happy I paid 29$ to have a 30gal tank filled that lasted less than a week. We had it filled week of 11/15. I hooked it up on the 17th and it was empty by the 22nd. They were closed black Friday and they are always closed on the weekends so I went to Marty's located off the island and paid to have both of my tanks filled for 20$ each. Also excellent service and it is actually easier to get my bottles filled. FYI to the gentleman whom said he and his partner had over 20yrs of experience filling tanks when I told him my tank lasted barely a week and I've been through longer harsher months of cold and I do not use stove much or hot water heater. You told me it's totally unnecessary to purge a tank ....?? """"Why should empty propane containers be purged of air?""" Failure to purge the air pressure will prevent the tank from being filled completely. This can also happen to used tanks that have been completely emptied. ""Well Allen it still Does not explain why the 29$! You charged for my 30lb tank barely lasted less than a week.... ? ""

Great Family owned company. Extremely friendly/courteous Staff. With Our last week of Extreme Winter Conditions, they were there to distribute propane to the best of their ability, as it came in of delivery to them. Once propane was obtained Galveston Rentals put notice out to the public. No complaints of the employees being there to assist the public in such harsh conditions. This Family Company most definitely looks out for its' community . Most Definitely recommend Galveston Rentals, Inc for your rental needs. Amazing Staff!!

We purchased a Generac portable generator (17,500 watt) from Galveston Rentals after hurricane Beryl and we are 100% satisfied. It runs our whole house - 1,150 square feet. Justo Reyna and the folks at Galveston Rentals were great to work with. No issues, no hassle, and friendly. I needed to rent tables and chairs for a wedding on Saturday and especially like that since they’re not open on the weekends that they don’t charge for 3 days, only 1 day. Highly recommend and would use them again, should the need occur. Thanks again!

Bad service here and experience. They will NOT accept anything other than a credit card (even if you debit swipes as credit.) .. the lobby worker seemed offensive about it and said this is why I told you on the phone which he did not. Wasted 45 minutes of job time. If it’s post off the policy it needs to be clearly laid out for you and it wasn’t for our team. Never had this issue at any other place where I rent equipment. And the total was literally $120. No need to cause a bad experience over such a low amount. I won’t use this place ever again.

I came in today, wanting to rent a pressure washer to jet a hole underneath a sidewalk, the knowledgeable staff helped me out with a different option of using air, which made my project so much easier. When a business has people who understand all of the capabilities of the machines that they rent, it can seriously change the outcome for the customer. I would recommend coming here to rent anything you need for your project and don’t hesitate to ask him for tips or helpful advice They definitely helped us and the rates were more than reasonable as well

The folks at Galveston Rentals are the best and they’ve got some great equipment. I had a brick/cement pad in my backyard and was able to demo it thanks to their jackhammer. Quick and easy to pick it up and drop it off. Wish the price listing on the website made it clear that the attachments were an additional charge but all in it was still a fair price for a quality tool. I’m renting from them next time we have a project that requires their equipment. Love to get my propane tanks filled up here too.
