this service department and sales department wanted me to pay for 60k maintenance on a vehicle that i bought from them with 63k miles, these should have been done before sale and should not have asked me to pay for it 1/2 star if i could

I normally go to the GMC dealership in Killeen, but was in Temple, so I decided to try it out. I love the atmosphere of the waiting room. There were snacks available and some drinks. I would suggest that having a hot water button on the Keurig, and no hot tea in the showroom or service area, is a no-no for me. The service advisor was very polite. The restroom was clean and spacious. They offered a military duscount, included a tire rotation and a free car wash with an oil change. It was easy to get into the dealership lot, but hard to exit due to the traffic light and much traffic. I would say, give them a try.

The salesperson lied to me, claiming that my car, which was being serviced, needed a new transmission during a potential sale. Additionally, they tried to give me a lowball offer for my trade-in value. When the manager came out to justify this, my experience became even worse. To make matters more complicated, they said there was a “mix-up” with another customer who had the exact same vehicle and first name. It was unbelievable!

I have brought my vehicle in several times for emissions check engine light. Finally after the 4th time you guys replaced the catalytic converter. I picked my truck up Wednesday and drive approximately across the street to the Valero and check engine light comes on again for emissions. Called Gene told me to bring it back on Monday as he and the technician who worked the issue was off. Monday come I drop my truck off and was then told the coolant control valve is bad and it will cost $2898 to repair. I asked why did the technician have drain and replace the coolant just to replace the catalytic converter. The service advisor said he should not have serviced the coolant but ironically my coolant valve is not working now!

Not to happy because I don’t know if you guys really did anything to my truck. My truck still shakes and my app shows me that I have 19% of oil life left. I had a 2:00 appointment my truck was the last to be touched

I’ve been a customer at Garlyn Shelton GMC & Cadillac since 2022, driving the same vehicle with the same aftermarket wheels. Never once was tire rotation an issue—until recently. Last visit, I requested a standard oil change and tire rotation. Instead of service, I got an excuse: “We can’t rotate aftermarket wheels for legal reasons.” That’s nonsense. Legal liability is a weak cop-out when these same wheels have been rotated during prior visits without hesitation. Even worse, during a previous visit, a technician loudly complained about having to service my vehicle—in the customer waiting area—after I paid for a premium package including an oil change, tire rotation, cabin filter replacement, and alignment. Totally unprofessional behavior for a premium-brand service department. This time, I specifically asked for the tires to be checked—especially after they refused the rotation. I was told an inspection would be performed. It wasn’t. I left with two nails still in my tires, and the air pressure hadn’t been adjusted. Meanwhile, I watched a tech tell another customer she had a nail in her tire and that it would be $35 to patch it. So clearly tire inspections were happening—just not for me. I’m extremely disappointed with the inconsistency, poor communication, and lack of effort from this service team. If you’re paying premium-brand prices, you expect professional, consistent service—not selective attention and excuses.

Wouldn’t even give a 1 star. Cannot say I am impressed with the service department on my brand new car. They ordered a part and we took car in to service decided to wait since told only about Hour and a half. After 3 hours several inquiries later they had gotten the wrong part but it took 3 hours to tell us they got the wrong part! Not happy. Then they offered to drive us to get something to eat okay specially asked if they would pick us up answer yes. Upon finishing our meal we called several calls and waited almost 45 minutes outside in the extreme heat for someone to come get us. Unfortunately my husband cannot walk that far. No one in town to come get us and we don’t live close by. No I think we might find a different service department. Still have been unable to get some accessories to work on the car. And honestly not taking it back to Temple’s service department. Unfortunately our salesman left so no one to go talk to them except us. You buy a Cadillac and you expect quality service not what we got.

if you want my honest opinion, you are a rip off. I should have never gone back to a dealer for repair. they are over priced, and they could not get it covered under my Endurance extended warranty. all you want is for your sales department to contact me to get a newer vehicle

Scam. ZERO clue what they are doing! Even their notes on the service report state they called service tech for direction on what needed to be replaced. Told me my $1200 was to replace two sensors. I get my receipt back AFTER paying it shows I paid over $300 for an oil change i DID NOT approve. I stated this and she said because it was done I had to pay for it. They only look at what comes up on their sensor instead of your concerns. Their sensor needs to be updated. I have way more to say but will leave at that. Just go somewhere else.

Service went well as usual everything taken care of and seamless . Only odd thing that happened which my services member was also confused on, is an employee asked my wife who was there with our child to move the car forward at one point. One he could have moved himself instead of waiting for my wife to buckle in the kiddo to move it forward a few feet. Second why was he even concerned or talking to my wife when it is being serviced by y’all? Talk to your coworker who is handling it seems like what should have happened
