Had some minor upsetting setbacks at first. Simple but key things to car enthusiasts, like a missing aluminum lugnut when I went to pick up my vehicle. Talked with someone in the office, and didn't get my problem resolved at first glance. I couldn't say if it was my fault or not due to just lack of communication in general, I suppose. But Eventually they (the store owner I believe) did get a hold of me personally though after I made a review on here and made everything better. So a good store with strong customer support and they will work with you if you work with them!

The WORSE body shop to take your car too. If your insurance company recommends them trust your gut and look elsewhere. Passenger headlight was out once vehicle was returned back to me. They stated that's how it was received. But I got cameras at my home (front, back, and inside of my garage) which clearly shows my passenger headlight working prior to taking it to the shop. Since Gerber doesn't feel liable for the headlight I was told to reach out to ins co, which they don't feel liable as well. Long story short, I got to come out of pocket to fix the issue when clearly this was not an issue going into the shop. Instead of making it right whereas I would continue to use them in the future, but they didn't and rather lose me as a customer this makes me spread the word of this experience to friends, family, Discord, Reddit, Google, FB, and any platforms I use. So everyone is aware of this body shop and their practices. If you do decide to take your vehicle to this body shop, make sure to video record all lights because if they blow a fuse or you get the vehicle return back to you and a light is not working they are going to say that's how it came in. Even if you have video proof that it worked before coming into the shop. Doesn't matter to them, they rather lose you as a customer then replace a headlight bulb. Lesson learned, trusting people recommendations. NEVER AGAIN

Some had backed into my Ford Focus while it was parked, and these guys made it look like a new car! Absolutely great service! I highly recommend them if you need to get body work done. Plus they work with a lot of insurance companies so it makes it really easy to get work done that would be covered by insurance.

Got sideswiped bacl at the beginning of June, and my insurance highly encouraged me to work with Gerber. Insurance company sent over the information about the accident that Monday, and I booked an appointment for an estimate. Due to a backlog, I couldn't get in for a couple weeks, which was communicated to me so I had no issue with. Got the estimate a couple weeks ago and really liked working with the estimator. Booked an appointment to drop off my car at the beginning of August, and they swore I would definitely have my car back to drivable before my school year started. This morning I got a call from them telling me that they no longer get Subaru parts, and therefore wouldn't be able to do my repairs after all. So it's now 6 weeks of working with them and I'm now starting back at 0 and having to find a new company. They knew from day 1 that my car was a Subaru. This wasn't a surprise. I feel like this was all very disrespectful of my time.

This facility is like no other! Excellent results. The Adjusters are very helpful and caring. Make NO MISTAKE.....there are other Gerber Collision Center in and around Fort Wayne, but from experience this is the BEST Gerber. #2 in the entire region which translate to #1 In Fort Wayne. Reduce the headaches and select Gerber on Merkle Rd.

After literally years of giving the benefit of the doubt I am writing this review. In October of 2021 a branch fell on my car hood & I called Gerber on Lima Rd (which is now closed) to fix it. They said it would be January 2022 before they could get me in, which is fine. The hood, some paneling, and some trim all needed replaced. The fix itself was ok at first, but then a piece of the trim just fell off a few weeks later. I called about once a week for months trying to get them to fix their mistake - trim on a car should not just fall off 2 weeks after its replaced. I was usually met with "so and so is not in right now, but we will have him call you back when he is here" - then I'd never get a call back. I'd wait a week, then try again. Whenever I COULD talk to a manager, I'd get told that the parts were on backorder, and they would get ahold of me when they came in. That never happened. I would wait a month, then call, then get one of the same 2 answers again - either "They will be in later & call back" or "We don't have the part yet." Any time they told me the part was still on back order, I would wait at least 2 months before calling back again. At one point when I called, the guy got audibly angry with me and told me to not call bother them again, and they would call me when the parts came in. So I waited, and over a year went by without hearing from them at all. So I called the head office to see if I could escalate it. I was once again left with a "we will have someone call you back" - that was a year ago now and I never heard back. A few months after that call I noticed the Gerber on Lima was closed, so I called the next nearest location (the one that I'm reviewing this on), and THEY ALSO said they would "have someone call me back" by the end of the week - which was over a month ago now. I have had it, absolutely had it. you want shotty work that will never get fixed? then feel free to try Gerber... they won't ever call back or fix their mistakes, then they will yell at you over the phone and ignore you when you have a problem with it.

Caleb took the time to make sure that all of my questions were answered, and all of my concerns were addressed. The work performed on my car was done well, and it looks like factory new again. Gerber's at 424 Merkler St. Fort Wayne (near Lima Rd. & Coliseum) was able to fix my 18 year old son's car when another shop told us it could not be fixed. And, they did it for a very reasonable price within 2 hours! We had purchased an older used car for my 18 year old son. The drivers seat wobbled and tilted toward the center console. We took it to a well known shop which told us they would not be able to help us. They said that it needed a part which was no longer produced, and that we would have to find one out of a junk yard ourselves. Seeing Gerber's nearby we decided to try them. I was thrilled when they told us they would be able to fix it. Within 2 hours, the part was welded and ready to go for a very reasonable price. My son and I were both thrilled!! They initially gave me an 8 day repair quote for the dent I had…then changed it to 16 days once they had had my car for a week. Unfortunately, since it’s my only car I had to pick it up and bring it back months later when more techs were able to work. However, they did compensate me for the trouble and even detailed my car for pickup when the repairs were complete. The manager, Austin, was great to work with.

I picked up my truck from Gerber today after getting the front end worked on for the last two weeks after someone backed into me in a parking lot first and foremost I want to say I think they did a wonderful job on the bodywork. Everything looks really, really good, however, driving home today after a 13 hour workday the weather was not the greatest and roads were slick. I went to use my windshield washer fluid so I could see and it wasn’t working due to Not being able to see much out of the windshield from the falling snow that dried on my windshield I did almost get into an accident on the highway. When I got home, I checked to see if maybe the fluid was frozen however I got home and tested it, but the pump was not working. when they worked on my vehicle, they never plugged the washer fluid pump back in so after working all day, I had to tear apart the front end of my truck just to fix this so I could drive in the morning for my job. I worked on vehicles for many years and missing something like this when you have the vehicle for two weeks in my opinion is unacceptable. The bodywork was great but the quality control on putting my vehicle back together Leaves something to be desired
