I recently used John Harris Body Shop off of Broad Street and worked with Ashley. She did a great job setting expectations, providing estimates, and completing work ahead of schedule. I never was out of the loop and she was always available if I had questions. I will use them in the future if the need ever arises. They did great work and everybody was very friendly. I recommend using them.

Car was taken apart in July, parts won't be here to fix it until September, they won't be able to do repairs until October, so they put our car back together and now our doors won't even open. Now we are stuck like this until they can repair. This is where the insurance company sent us, but we would never recommend them, and the staff at the front desk gave us a couple more nightmare stories of other clients they had, just in case we weren't already sure they were bad at business.

I took my car in for hail damage from Texas after just moving to this the area. Took me months to get someone to look at my car elsewhere and only took them less than 48 hours to get me an apt and look at my car and deliver results. Top notch staff, professional, courteous, and friendly. More so, they did what they said they would do, and even called on my rental on my behalf to let them know I was there and waiting for the rental. Took the aggravation out of the experience for sure. I would definitively go back. 5 stars all the way around.

The ladies at the front desk were nice which is why I have to leave at least 2 stars but there's not much else I can praise them on. Over 5 weeks total in the shop when it was quoted to be done in 3. Delays happen, I understand but constantly we were told we would get a call if there would be any more delays and every time I'd call on the new day I was told it would be ready and they'd give themselves another few days, which made arranging car rentals extremely difficult. The work seems to be done correctly though there were all kinds of scuffs on the door and frame and a terrible odor in the car. I get being a mechanic can be dirty work but you could certainly clean up after yourselves. Bumping to 3 because of GM. Wonderful customer service. The experience still left a bad taste in my mouth, but most negatives happened because of insufficient staff and that's everywhere these days.

It has been a horrible experience with Gerber Collision and Glass (GCG)on Broad Street in Augusta, GA. Very Unprofessional. They took very long to work on my vehicle. They had to lift it on a frame machine and examine it. They call me by phone on Friday 11/3/2023 and said it may be it ready today or next week. Then called again and said come now and get it. I was out of town. They closed at 5 and not open on the weekend. So this meant that I would not have a vehicle on the weekend. They hadn't given me any paperwork until the day they said it was repaired. Never was shown an estimate before they began work. They were more concerned with me bringing rental in to them for the insurance company. Making comments about me paying extra for rental. The accident was from a customer of Liberty Insurance running into the back of me. It took about 2 months for Liberty to want to take responsibility for their customer. I had to contact the NC Insurance commissioner. I take it to their recommended shop, GCG nothing but drama. Try to avoid dealing with Liberty Insurance and their repair shop GCG. This is my opinion.

I brought my vehicle to John Harris because of an accident and they were listed on my insurance company website. I like the text message service. They gave me status updates each time my car went to the next process. The paint process was sloppy. I had white "paint" or it could have been primer all over my car seats and the sun shades on my windows. I had to throw out my seat covers and the sun shades. The pros are they are extremely friendly and helpful. The cons are they were sloppy with their work.

I had an appointment with this establishment at 1.00pm I arrived on time. I entered the building and there were two people at the desk. (can’t say gentlemen because they are not that). They saw me coming and did not even look up at me didn’t acknowledge me at all they continued to look down at there computer. I waited to see if someone else came in. A white male entered he was immediately acknowledged and helped. I called State Farm to let them know I would not be doing business with this establishment. This is the Augusta GA location.

I highly recommend Gerber. The staff was very friendly and their work repairing our car has it looking even better than it did before the accident that had us bring it in. Their text notifications letting me know where our car was in the process were a handy feature and we even got our car back a day earlier than expected. The overall experience with them was just great and we will be using them for any vehicle body work in the future. Bonus Points: When I got the car back I noticed a headlamp that had been replaced not working. I took it in the next morning and they took a look at it immediately, no questions asked. Turns out it was blown fuse and nothing wrong with their actual work but they replaced the fuse for me anyway at no charge even though my dumb@ss could and should have checked for that myself before bothering them with it. And once again they were very polite about the whole thing.

I had a very poor experience with Gerber Collision & Glass. I brought my car there for the glovebox to be repaired and was initially told it would take one day for the repairs to be completed. Two days later, I still didn't have my car back nor had I heard anything from Gerber. I called and was told that they found more damage and would need to replace the entire dashboard causing my initial quote to more than double. Furthermore, these repairs had already been started without my knowledge. I called back the following Monday for an update and was then told that they were having to take out my center console to replace the dashboard, and it "could take awhile" to finish the repair. The NEXT Monday I called again and was told that my car was STILL not ready because some employees had quit over the weekend leaving jobs unfinished. I was also informed that my windshield had been removed in order to replace the dashboard, and they would have to wait for the company they partner with to replace the windshield. My car was eventually ready for pickup after about 2.5 weeks with the final bill being over $1000 more than the original quote. While I know that situations can change once repairs are started, the lack of communication from Gerber was incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend anyone bringing their vehicle to this shop for repairs.

I was not going to be leaving a negative review of my experience from january of this year, but after a threatening call from cathy to my wife, it is now time to leave a review. Steer clear from Gerber! They perform SUB-PAR work. My truck was given back to me with new damage that was not there prior to arrival. I was told that the vehicle was inspected before being returned, that was a lie. My fog lights no longer worked when the inspector said she checked the lights. My fender had scratches down to the primer, and the paint work they performed could be seen through with a flashlight. They tried to blame it on bad employees that no longer work there and I should bring it back. No Way! I chose another avenue to correct the issues. I am an automotive professional of 25 years and was very disappointed in the quality of work. The only reason we went with them is because American Family referred us to them. Save your self a headache and avoid bad work and bad customer service.

The team in Augusta handled everything professionally, communicated well and often, and were available to answer any questions that I had about the process. 10/10 customer service but picking up my car with more issues than I left it with makes absolutely no sense. My condenser fans no longer spin, my tpms light won't turn off, and the alignment paperwork I was provided shows that almost nothing was done. My caster should not be 8.8 Proceed with caution.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Gerber Collision & Glass! From the moment I walked in, Erika and Harley were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. Dealing with insurance and car repairs can be so stressful, but they made the entire process smooth and easy. I originally took my car to another shop for an estimate, but when I brought it to Gerber, Erika immediately pointed out several things the other place had completely missed. Her attention to detail gave me so much confidence that my car was in the right hands. On top of that, I received weekly text updates about the progress, which was so reassuring and kept me in the loop the entire time. Harley and Erika truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, and I am so grateful for their professionalism and kindness. Gerber Collision is amazing 🤩. I went there to get an estimate on a dent I got on my car from being dinged in a parking lot. The receptionist was so friendly. The estimator was fantastic. I felt like I was treated like family there. They were able to give me a huge blessing by fixing my dent on spot - gave me the greatest discount!!! This is real customer service and support. If I could give 10 stars I would! 2 other repair shops gave me an estimated completion time of over 3 months. My insurance agent referred me to Gerber. My Lincoln Aviator with over 11k worth of damage was returned to me in PERFECT condition in 2 weeks. Amazed and 100% satisfied! Ericka was a dream to work with as well as everyone I spoke with. I'm so impressed with this bodyshop. They went above and beyond on my whole experience. All the little things extra they did absolutely top notch.
