I don’t typically write reviews but Gerber is so lucky to have Justine on their team! As some reviews have already mentioned, Justine is the BEST. She truly cares about each customer and Gerber provides excellent attention to detail. She even stayed open past 5pm so I could pick up my car! Can’t say enough on how pleased I am with the work and the knowledgeable staff. If you’re ever in the need of car repairs be sure to ask for Justine and her team!

I would not use this business to even wash my car!!! I wanted to pick my vehicle up on Friday 12/23/2022. I called to see if my vehicle was still there because it was supposed to be towed back to my house already. When I spoke with Bobby, he was walking out the door at 4:30 pm. I explained to him that I could be there in 10 minutes but he didn't care. Was too interested in getting his holiday weekend started. Meanwhile he tells Me I can't pick it up till Tuesday even though I had given a release over the phone earlier for it to be towed. Worst customer service experience ever. If they don't care any more about their customers than that, why would I trust them to do anything correctly to my vehicle?

I had an appointment made to have an estimate for damages done to my truck. The appointment was made by my insurance company 8:50AM. I received an automated response that the appointment was confirmed for 11:00AM the same day. After arriving I was told that they were overbooked and could not evaluate the damages. There was a scheduling issue with the system; understandable! What was not, is the fact that they knew they were not going to be able to honor the appointment and made no effort to contact me. I was greeted with "That is the other one from Traveler's" so, obviously they knew I was coming. A simple phone call would have been nice but instead, I had to take off work and be turned away in person. Not very good customer service.

Customer service was amazing! Mysti and Jerry were great to work with...but the front bumper job was not completed at 100% the first time. So I had to take it back for 2 more days of service until they got it right. They did a great job, the second time. The were able to drive my car to my house when it was finished, which I greatly appreciated.

My car was in the shop for over 3 months. They gave me 7-8 different completion dates and when I finally got it back it still wasn’t fixed fully. They left a big gap in my bumper and left a gap on the passenger door. NEVER TAKE UR CAR TO GERBER!!!!!

Had our 2022 Toyota 4Runner repaired due to the vehicle being rear ended. After a year the paint on the rear bumper started to fail. It was no fault of Gerber Toyota made a bad batch of bumpers and the pair would not adhere to it. Brought the car in and Gerber was on top of it! The general manager personally dealt with my case and I had the vehicle back in 2 days, along with a new OEM bumper from Toyota. I highly recommend this place for all of your collision repair needs, top notch service!!!!

Can't rate this place highly enough. I had low expectations of a nationwide chain, but was completely surprised. The customer service was amazing, from the polite front desk to my technician, Matt, who was flexible with my schedule and gave me regular updates on my vehicle's status. The quality of work and attention to detail was also top notch.

If you have a vehicle, scooter, hell, a skateboard that needs repair… DO NOT TAKE IT TO GERBER COLLISION in North Charleston on Azalea drive! My car was hit in downtown Charleston on October 11th. Today is February 6th, and repairs were just completed yesterday. My completion date was pushed back multiple times, and they only communicated through text. The woman over my case does not return phone calls. They lied several times throughout the process! My windshield was mysteriously cracked during repairs. And, they told me on Tuesday that my car was being cleaned before pick up, which was a lie as well! There is no evidence of being it cleaned inside or out! And I forgot to mention there are scratches on the back of my vehicle that were not there prior to the accident. They said the damage could have possibly come from the accident (mind you, I was hit in the front)! If you have other options, please explore them. Gerber is not it

Once they got my car they took care of the paperwork fast. Don't expect them to keep your car secured and with power. I had to clean out my car as my insurance totaled it. I get the keynfrom the front desk and they tell me it is outside somewhere. I find it and there is no power to the car as the battery was most likely drained. I had a tool box in the back when I left the car and when I went to clean it out no tool box. I also had CO'S in the player which I could not retrieve. No one is there to help you out when you have to do this. Very disappointed as I live 2 hours away from where my accident happened. I expected more security of my vehicle, but I guess you don't get good care of other people's property any more.

Absolutely terrible!!! They had my best friends car since October 11th, 2024. The repairs were just completed on yesterday 2/5!!! Her damage was nowhere near that bad for it to take that long. Her completion date was pushed back multiple times, even causing her to take off work multiple times just to get to Charleston and the car wasn't ready like they stated. They don't even have the decency to communicate over the phone, only through text. What company does that when it's concerning a vehicle someone is paying for with their hard earned money? The young lady doesn't even return calls when she did try to call and communicate. Her vehicle was supposed to be cleaned inside and out per what they told her, she just received it and it is DIRTY!!! Scratches are even on the back of her car and the windshield is cracked which we know for a fact wasn't there prior, she recently got the vehicle! They told her it was possibly from the accident, she was hit in the front, so how in the world could it have came from the accident when they weren't there prior on a NEW CAR! I would not recommend them, this has caused her so much stress having to travel when it wasn't ready, improper communication, and them "working on it" for almost 4 months UNNACEPTABLE!

Complete incompetence with respect to their customer service. Communication was non-existent. Apparently their technicians don't check to make sure they have all the required parts before beginning, which leads to unnecessary delays and poor customer experience. I would strongly recommend another body shop like Caliber Collision. These guys need to do a complete overhaul on their business model. It sucks.

Gerber has excellent customer service from a knowledgeable staff especially Dwayne in ‘estimates’. I was sent to Gerber by my insurance company, who'd been giving me the runaround for two weeks. Eddie helped me for over an hour, advocating for me to correct the insurance issue. This was truly above and beyond service, and was in stark contrast to the absent and robotic service provided by my insurance. Eddie made a returning customer for life with his competence and kindness. I highly recommend their services.
