Doesn't know what a Timing Belt is. Does not work on Volkswagen. False advertising. Don't bother. Inexperienced and unprofessional mechanics. He literally said "Screw Volkswagens. I don't work on them."

I've been going to Peter for the last year and a half. I bought my 2003 330i new and it was time to start maintaining my car my self, but I needed the help of a trusted BMW specialist. As a kid I worked on BMW muscle cars in my friends garage and we would always enlist a wise old mechanic on our rebuild challenges to get us out of trouble. 20 years later I have a current 330i and I wanted someone who cared about the quality of the work they did but didn't waste time or money on bells and whistles. I research south florida and found some good options. Most of the other good BMW shops were more on the performance tuning side and I just wanted a no frills specialist that wasn't going to up sell me on stuff I didn't need. I know the difference and some shops just can't help but try to make you pay for stuff you don't need. Peter is an excellent no nonsense mechanic who runs a small shop. He tries to talk me out of spending money on things I don't need. I have recommended him to several people from work that have older BMWs need work done. They have all been happy with the service and I continue to recommend him. Its a small shop. Call ahead and let the phone ring because sometimes their under the car. Your not paying for someone to answer the phone on the first ring your paying for the work you want to get done and and that it. Each time I leave my car with him the work is done on time as communicated. Once there was a one day delay on getting a part that we didn't know we needed but he quickly called to set expectations. I would recommend him to any realist. If your used to getting a free loaner car and hot chocolate at the dealer than and thats what you expect than this might not be the best shop for you. If your in a pinch and don't want to get ripped off go to Peter for sound advice and service. JJ

Peter Brolman, the owner at German Autos, has taken care of my now-22-year-old 325i convertible for over 4 years. I can't possibly say enough good things about this shop and his work; he does more than he promises for less than you expect to pay. Especially on an older car like mine, Peter is a wizard at seeing a small part that's failed, going off into the shop to rummage in a box of parts, and coming up with a replacement, usually from an old donor car, and always for pennies compared to what it would cost at an online site like Bavarian Auto, or from the BMW dealer. Because he is held in such high regard by his loyal customers, it sometimes takes a wait of a few days to get on the schedule. It's worth it. Trust me, I have no interest in saying such good things other than the fact that it feels so good to find someone I trust. My old car is my friend, and so is the man who treats it like one.

I have relied on Peter Brolman for 2 years to service my 2008 BMW 328i convertible since the factory warranty expired. The car has required relatively normal attention (oil changes and replaced an engine gasket at 105,000 miles) to more unusual issues (replaced passenger airbag sensor - parts available only from BMW - OUCH, and replaced heat damaged windshield moulding). In my experience, he is a well qualified and capable mechanic who charges very reasonably. I hate to recommend him because he will get busier!

Peter is THE BEST BMW mechanic in Pompano Beach/ Deerfield Beach. If I lived in Miami I would still go to his shop to get my BMW fixed with Peter. His prices are fair ( lot cheaper than BMW dealerships and other BMW shops) and he's honest.

Pete and his employee Clem are tops in their field. I chatted with 3 other customers who came in while waiting for my oil change. 1 customer of 3 years, 1 customer of 7 years, and 1 customer of over 30 years. And all said the same thing. Pete is very knowledgeable and honest. And I found the same to be true. I am throughly happy with the work performed and the BMW knowledge shared with me. We will return. Thank you Peter.

I used to go there before I moved out of town. Peter is a great guy and knowledgeable. He is a one man show (mechanic) and is a little disorganized because he has to answer the phones sometimes. He knows his stuff. A real good BMW mechanic. The prices seem fair to me at the time. He will tell you if something doesn't need to be fixed or other ways to save money. I would recommend this shop to a BMW owner.

Great mechanic for BMW. Peter is a certified Master Mechanic for BMW. Have been taking my cars to him since 2001. Be does a better job than the dealership at much more reasonable prices. Best of all, he is HONEST, an unfortunately rare quality these days. I've brought my car to him after going to another shop that said I needed a long list of repairs. Peter examined it and told me I really needed a small fraction of what the other shop said. It really feels good to have someone who's recommendations I can trust. The location is no frills; but don't let that fool you. They do top notch work. If my BMWs are out of warranty, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
