I have never been so excited to write a review. I am not even a person who writes many reviews, as for me to write, it has to be something very spectacular, or something very awful. In this case, this is so spectacular that I want to share this information for anyone who is looking for a mechanic who specializes in German cars. I first took my 2011 VW Jetta to a local mechanic, who tried his best to repair, but informed me that I had to take it to the VW dealership for service. The nearest VW vehicle, I had already heard from several and also another one who recently went to it of being overcharged and having to go back for the same item. I Googled & Yelped to find one with reviews and came upon German Precision Auto. I knew no one who took their car there, so my choice to go there was through reading online Google Yelp reviews and praying first this was the right place. I went there for a misfire, which was the initial reason. I asked how much would it cost to change the belts, which I was expecting to do in a few months, as I was already waaayyy overdue for it to be changed along with the water pump. To my surprise, the mechanic opened up to show me my timing belt. He opened up my hood and after some testing and evaluating, he showed me everything that was wrong. It was worn so, that the belt was like a piece of paper. It was miraculous I made it there without it breaking on me. He changed all my belts, water pump, spark plugs, coolant, a new manifold, for more than half than what the dealer would have charged. Not only, he added a couple of other things extra I really needed done which would have caused me $$$ elsewhere. When I picked up my car, I was soo surprised of how fine tuned it was. I put my hand on the car when he cranked it up. He asked me what I was doing. I told him I was trying to see my hand shake .My hand did not shake nor vibrate. It remained FLAT WITHOUT MOVEMENT! Amazing!! My car is running better now than even when I purchased it brand new. I was so surprised of how smooth and how fast it accelerated as a zooommmed down the highway. My car has never ran so good, so smooth, and have the ability to accelerate so rapidly than it is now. I want to stress, German Precision did not ask me to write a review, nor even hinted for me to do so. I feel as this place is a hidden treasure and should be shared so others too can save from the rip off rates from the dealerships and also receive quality service. It is very hard to find a great mechanic, especially one that specializes in German-engineered vehicles. Fyi, the mechanic also used to live in Germany and also specialized in working on German cars there as well as here in the U.S.. I hope this review helps others that you may go in confidence and save. :D:D

This guy that works here is a freaking saint of a man. Comes in on his day off and charges way under price to fix my mother's car. On top of that fixes 3 separate items for mom free of charge. This man has a happy go lucky personality to go with being so nice. Totally recommend him for anyone.

I brought my 07 mercedes in for a spring replacement and was so happy with the customer service. I brought it in, they ordered the part, I came in (20 minutes later) it was repaired. Benz wanted to charge me close to $1,000 and this shop charged me less than half the price. I will bring my car here from now on and have been recommending this place to other people!

Great service and very knowledgeable. Fair pricing. Most importantly honest and dedicated to customer service and explaining what repairs were needed and why. Doesn't throw parts at problems. Honestly the best experience I’ve had with a mechanic. He’s professional, honest and has a fantastic personality. I was having a bad week with my car and he fixed it up in no time and had me laughing the whole time I was in the shop. If you have have any issues with a Volkswagen or any other German car this is the man to go to.

I can't say enough great things about this mechanic shop! Ali, the owner, knows his stuff. He recently worked on my Audi A4, which needed all kinds of work. My car came in just needing a new starter but I had mentioned to him that my check engine light was on and he hooked it up and found out that there was more wrong with my car. Unaware of the amount of issues going on with my car, Ali took the time to go over every detail that my car needed work on and explained to me how he would go about fixing these issues to make sure it was running tip top. Even with the amount of work he had to do, Ali had my car ready in no time. He is very professional and very knowledgeable. If you are looking for someone that knows his stuff with Audi and VW, I would recommend Ali! He is the best!!

Ali is the realist mechanic I've ever encountered. He is very professional and will always run through all of the mechanical issues with you, so you understand what needs to be fixed. He provides double the quality of work, in half the time, for half the price of any other mechanic or dealership. I will forever bring any of my German vehicles to Ali. I suggest you do the same.

I've been going to German Precision Auto since it opened almost 10 years ago. Ali, the customer service/mechanic/one man shop owner, is one of the most honest and upstanding guys you will meet, let alone a mechanic. I used to have him work on my stage 3 2002 GTI 337 edition for the time that I owned it and now I have a Toyota Corolla that he was MORE than happy to help me get fixed. He replaced the serpentine belt, some seals, did a complete cleaning of all the gears & sprockets (no other mechanic would do that), and an oil & oil filter change. All for an unbelievable price. Seriously... you will not find a better mechanic, who is more likeable and HONEST, than Ali at German Precision Auto.

Ali is a very knowledgeable mechanic, and I trust him to perform any maintenance or resolve any mechanical issues with my VW passat. Yes, it can be difficult to get a hold of him by phone because he doesn't have a receptionist and is normally working hard on the shop floor. The best way to get a hold of him is to drive there and meet up with him, but you won't regret it.

Ali is amazing. I got hit by a school bus on Wednesday that ripped up my back tire and bumper. He put it all back together as much like new as possible and changed out my tire (I had a spare in the trunk). He doesn't answer his phone but was in the shop working on cars,so I went in there. All done in less than an hour. Only place I'm taking my Volkswagen.

I will never allow anyone else to work on my German car than this place. Every time I’ve brought my vehicle to another shop, I knew right away they were scamming or jacking up the price, plus there would be days of waiting, but this guy at German Auto Precision has me in and out the same day most of the time, unless parts need to be ordered. Even then, it’s usually a day or two, then I pull in and wait in the lobby and back on the road in no time. This is hands down the very best place to bring your German vehicles.

I mean no disrespect by this review this is just my experience. I met with the owner of this establishment, I showed up with the part I assumed I needed based on a reading of my engine light. The owner was very knowledgeable and let me know that I had a more extensive issue and gave me a pretty fair pricing compared to the Audi dealership. However, he was very booked and busy and gave me his business card and told me to send him a text around the beginning of the next month because he would be out of town and assured me that he would remember who I am and that I would need to re-explain the issue with my car. The next month rolls by and I sent a very detailed conversation to the telephone number he provided me with and because we both have iPhones I was able to see that he read my message but never bothered to text me back or even call. And I just want to clarify that the owner told me he doesn't answer phone calls because of spam calls and that his preference is texting. Overall, I feel like he is missing out on business because his establishment is not organized or structured at all. A receptionist at the very least would be able to take phone calls and schedule in appointments. It would avoid situations like this. I rearranged my work schedule and made myself available in order to bring my car to him which he didn't even bother to reply back. And the fact that he made me wait for 3 weeks to get my vehicle fixed to not even bother to reply is bad for business.

Ali is a man show, but he does excellent work, is a certified Volkswagen and Audi mechanic, and offers his services at a fraction of what you pay at a dealership.
