Could’ve charged a lot more, but instead tightened up the suspension parts, that were making noise in the front of the car. They even stayed later to fix our car well past closing time. Very nice people.

Dropped my car off at 7:30 in the morning, called near closing time to see why I hadn’t heard anything back, only to find my car had just been completely forgotten about and nobody had even bothered to look at it yet. Was told a bunch of lies that made it pretty obvious nobody had looked at my car, and then given the option to leave it overnight so that could start working on it the next day. Several hours after they opened the next day, I still hadn’t heard from them, and I had to (again) call in to ask what work my car needed. Was left on hold until I hung up. Nobody called me back. Again called them an hour later and was placed on hold for a long time, for a second time. Was told that my car had a complex issue and the some of the parts that needed replacement were not available (dealer doesn’t make them anymore) and the guy couldn’t find any alternative parts to use (he suggested that he checked online) so they couldn’t do anything for me. If they had bothered to check my car on time, they could have told me all that the day before so I could go elsewhere instead of spending a weekend with no car. The first half of their recommendation was true, but they exaggerated the difficulty of finding parts. Took it to another mechanic who found parts for me and had an estimate in less than two hours. While these people took two days, lied to me, and just generally wasted my time. I don’t recommend them at all.

After having to return to Pep Boys 6 times for the same check engine light issue, I decided to give Ghassems a try and I was not at all disappointed. Nick was very friendly and willing to do anything to help me out. I drive a 2008 Mini Clubman and Ghassems is the only place I trust to work on my car. I brought my car in for new ignition coils and spark plugs and not only received the best price for the service in all of Long Beach but also quality German parts and friendly service. During the inspection, Nick also noticed that my valve cover was cracked and waived the labor cost when replacing it. When I opened the hood after picking up my car, I noticed a much more professional job than I had received from any other mechanic before. Ghassems had cleaned the oil that had spilled all over my engine and sealed a hose that kept popping off, all for free. It was a one and done visit and the job was completed in a transparent and timely manner. I brought my Mini Clubman back when its battery died, and again received the best service. During the inspection for this visit, Ghassems called me and informed me that there was an issue with my car's timing belt, meaning my car's life had come to an end. This was devastating for me because of how much this car meant to me but they delivered the news professionally and Nick did everything he could to make it better. Even though he had already inspected the car, cleaned the spilled oil off of the engine again, and replaced the old battery with the new one, costing them the labor, time, and parts, Nick waived all costs for me, going above and beyond to make things better. Nick expertly advised me on the next steps for getting rid of my car and offered to inspect the next car I would have to buy for free. There is no other mechanic I would trust to work on my cars. Ghassems is not here to make money off of you. My Mini Clubman and I felt genuinely cared for and were both treated very well by this mechanic. Although his life has come to an end I will 100% be bringing my next car here.

Had issue with bearings, where we had to get towed off the freeway. They got us in same day. They gave us honest opinions and professional advice. They even gave us a few options to help with or budget. Hard working, caring individuals. I would ONLY recommend this shop from now on. What an amazing group of people. I took my car here after having it serviced by Pepboys and feeling a bit ripped off by their prices. The mechanics at Pepboys also didn't put back my air filters after inspecting them and left a mess in my car.. anyways... that's for another review. Ghassem's service center is right around the corner from me and I was pleased to have Nick, the shop owner, give me a lower quote on the same auto parts/services than pepboys. Nick is really friendly, like other customers have shared, and he was transparent about the process and what my car ACTUALLY needed fixed... unlike other places that will tell you everything is broken and charge you an arm and an leg. The customer service here is top notch. Nick and his team really take good care of you and your car's health. Thanks Nick!

I love Ghassem’s Auto Center. I always wanted to find a friendly neighborhood auto mechanic for our two cars. I was seeking a business with honest mechanics, fair prices, and good communication with customers. Ghassem’s fits my needs completely. I actually hesitate to recommend them because I am afraid they will get even busier than they already are. But, hey, I want this business to be successful.

I brought my vehicle in for a clutch job. Gave the owner of the shop who said he was in business 48years my license plate number. He searches my car using the plate and somehow “ordered the wrong clutch kit”. Called me to notify me it appeared I have a aftermarket performance clutch installed and he didn’t know what he was looking at. He then notifies me that I could purchase the parts on my own or he could take it apart and replace the part casing my issue. “Most likely a return fork or release bearing”. I notified him I would be more comfortable having him order the clutch kit compatible for my car and if a stock flywheel needs to be ordered it is available through Mitsubishi. He continued to say but he doesn’t know what he’s looking at and he would need to take everything apart to look at it. I told the owner I would much rather you do the complete job wanting nothing other than 1 clutch kit, and a flywheel if mine couldn’t be resurfaced. All he kept telling me was I could get my own parts or have him order them. But he was not willing to order all the parts to complete the necessary tasks. Only wanting to replace the components causing the issue, basically telling me he would leave a burned clutch in my car and just replace a fork or bearing. I began getting frustrated after repeating the same thing to Eachother 4-5 times and enunciated more clearly that I would like him to order the 2.4l clutch kit and if needed flywheel, he claimed I was yelling at him which was false and told me to just come get my car. I am giving this man a one star for his business ethic. He ended up telling me he didn’t want to work on it because he didn’t know what he was looking at and wasn’t willing to go any further. He put his pride above his own customer and definitely lost any future business with me or my friends and relatives. If anyone reads this. Please do not take these words lightly, ANY MECHANIC WILLING TO REPLACE JUST THE CLUTCH FORK OR RELEASE BEARING AND NOT DO THE WHOLE JOB DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE WORKING. IT IS A SYSTEM OF MUTKIPLE COMPONENTS ONE EACH SERIOUSLY COMPLICATING THE OTHER IF FAILURE OCCURS. I would have paid 1200$ just for my clutch to burn out or go out within a few months and be out another thousand or more. He is untrustworthy

More impressively, sometimes they talk me OUT of doing something costly because it's not necessary. My cars last for extra years because of their care. I've been bringing my cars here for something like 15 years. They always treat me fairly and do great work. They're very good about explaining what the problem is and to let me know what should be prioritized vs what can wait (and how long it can wait for), have even done a few things for no charge when it was something small that didn't require a lot of time or parts, and their prices are very reasonable. We recently had to replace our transmission, the dealership wanted $11K. Our guy here went above and beyond, tracking down a refurbished transmission that was hard to find and they were able to do it for half what the dealership wanted.

Ghassem’s Service Center in the LBC provides amazing service for a fair price! I was referred to them by a neighbor and I’m glad I called and took my Prius in for service. The catalytic converter was stolen and I priced out a few service shops including Toyota (you can only buy the part from Toyota!) I stopped by Ghassem’s and their price for parts a labor was a lot less than the others. They were very courteous and knowledgeable and kept their word - which is very important to me. They also installed a metal shield that I purchased from CAT to hopefully thwart any future attempts to steal the catalytic converter.
