DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! This shop used to be a great place operated by honest people. However, after coming under new management, this shop is now a cesspool of liars and crooks. I had my front rotors and pads replaced here about a year ago. I ended up leaving on a trip shortly after they were replaced, only to come back and find that my brakes were grinding something awful. I hadn't put that many miles on the new set of pads and rotors, so I wasn't sure what the problem was. I took my car to a different mechanics shop to get them looked at, and they found a piece of wire wrapped around the caliper and pad. When I contacted Point S to see what they were willing to do to help me out, they accused the mechanic shop that found the issue of placing the wire there and gave me the run around when I asked for compensation. I know for a fact that the mechanic shop I took my car to did not place the wire there because not only was it corroded the same amount as the rotors were, but I was there when they took off the wheel to expose the issue! My best guess as to why the wire was there in the first place is that the Point S mechanics were using the wire to keep the caliper in place while they were working on my vehicle, and then forgot to remove it before handing the car back to me. I've been attempting to get this situation resolved with the manager at Point S for the longer part of 2 months. We agreed that Point S would cover the cost of labor for the new installation, but the manager has ghosted me ever since, and I have not seen a dime. Every time I try to call to speak to someone about what's going on, the manager is conveniently gone or "on the phone with corporate." This has been going on for 2 months starting on 3, and I'm done with these so-called mechanics playing games with me. How dare you call yourselves an auto shop and how dare you treat your customers with such blatant disregard and disrespect. I used to be so confident in this shop that I would drive from Florida to Utah for any major repairs, not anymore. You've lost a lifelong customer.

I love coming to Gills Point S Tire & Auto Service. It is a big deal for me to be able to go somewhere I trust with our cars. I have found Gills to be very competent and thorough! They have always gone above and beyond and taken care of my needs to keep our cars is good running shape. I feel like their prices are fair and I have received good service everytime I have gone :)

Our vehicle wouldn't turn on. We had replaced the battery, starter, body control module and nothing. A friend referred us to these guys, them having fixed a similar problem. Everything seemed to boil down to something electrical. Two weeks and nothing. I told them to stop working on it. The next route would be taking it to a dealership. Before I took it to a dealership I stopped by another shop a different friend uses to get another opinion. They advised that the BCM needs programmed and said the dealership would be the best option. The dealership programmed it and voila, it turned on. I hope my situation gives these guys the info needed to educate when this comes up again with someone else. It'll save whomever 2 weeks and $400.

I found Gill's Point S upfront pricing, excellent work, and when one of the possible problems was found OK, the final bill was $1,100.00 less than the estimated cost. Honest people. Car required a O2 sensor after the repair above. I received a discount on the labor as the car had just been repaired last week. Runs great with the new O2 sensor. Thank you Gills Point S....

These guys are seriously the best around. I've had multiple experiences where I took a vehicle somewhere else first (like Big O North Ogden) because they had a deal going, paid them for work, and have them totally mess up and refuse to fix their shoddy work. Each time I've had to take it to Gills Point S (or Woodruff) so they could fix the problem the right way. I've also quoted out work to multiple places, and these guys always come back the same or cheaper, so it's superior quality at lower prices. Today, I brought in my car due to it shaking badly at speed. They spent several hours diagnosing and working the problem. They found that the front wheels were both bent. They balanced the wheels as best as they could to try and reduce the shake until I can replace them. When I asked how much I owed, they said they wouldn't charge anything! I've had them do drive train, suspension, electrical, cooling, etc., and it's all been great. In summary, these guys are the best around!

Hardworking and customer oriented professionals. I took my car in for an oil change and emissions test. The were an On Spot station so the registration and sticker were provided, which is a huge time saver. I forgot to call to check on the status and when I did, they were closing in 15 minutes. But not to worry, these guys are pros. They took my payment info over the phone and when I arrived, my car was ready, parked outside, and the paperwork and registration sticker were on the seat. Well done! Thanks for taking the time to make sure my first experience was the best car repair service that I've ever had.

Had a tire blow out on my camp trailer on I15 was able to get off the freeway to Smith and Edward's. we're I changed my tire. I then decided I should find a shop and purchase 4 new trailer tires. We called and you had the tires I need in stock. So we came and purchased the tires for a fare price. The problem I have is how slow you all were. I was the only customer there and you had multiple employees who disappeared as soon as my trailer was in the shop. You left the low man on the totem pole. To struggle with my job. it took an hour and a half to change 4 trailer tires. This job should have been tackled by 2 or more employees and done in 30 to 40 minutes. I am qualified to make this judgment call as during my college days I was a tire and lube tech. To whoever was managing your service was unacceptably slow leaving 1 guy to do the job and I was the only customer. To whomever owns this shop it's time for a new manager.
